Calling all Triplet Mommies!

Post by Love Bug »

I found out I may be having triplets, and I have been on freak out mode for the past 24 hours!! I had three fresh cycles fail, and wham...on the fourth try, all three took!

Im not sure one will make it, but I still want to start processing the idea of having triplets.

Any advise? Suggestions on any tips you wish you would have known?? Not to be too personal, but how are you working things financially? Any advise on how to save money on items?

It will be just me and the hubs. We live in Upstate NY, and both of our families are in Florida :(

Thanks!!!

lovebug,
I know you are on several different boards but I figured others could benefit from this too. I have been searching to see what kind of discounts parents of multiples can get (so what if I'm cheap right?) Check this site out!

Hi Lovebug,
We have 14 month old all girl triplets. Its been wonderful. It can be a bit stressful at times, but it is a blessing. If you keep them on a schedule and listen to your pediatrician, everything should be fine. Congrats to you, I hope it all works out. Write me if you need any advice. I'm sure you and your hubby will be just fine. Take care.

Lovebug,

I also got pregnant with triplets on our 4th try! I have GBB trips who are almost 20 months old. Crazy how time flies! I loved this site when i was going thru all the IVF, it's been forever since I've been on. But just wanted to say congrats and you can do it. Take it easy, listen to your body and make sure you are getting your cervical length checked every week. Triplets are a blast. You can see mine at our blog http://lezonlings.blogspot.com

Hi ladies,

Congrats on all having triplets. This past April 21st I gace birth to my 3 little ladies. Angelina 1lb 2 oz, Alexa 1lb 13oz and Arianna 1lb 81/2 oz.

I was only 26 weeks 2 days but about to stroke so there was no more holding on to my pregnancy. I was severly eclampsia. on April 29th we lost our baby Alexa to Sepsis infection within 4 hours of her going from being fine to having last rights. % weeks later on June 1st we almost lost Angelina to the exact same bacteria in her blood. Luckily she was older and on full feeds of breast milk. We stood by her Isolette and was waiting for her to pass into Gods arms, feeling completely helpless all we could do is pray and put our faith in God that he would not take 2 of our little angels from us. about 5 hours after getting to the hospital her heart rate started going down and her blood presure started to rise and her kidneys kicked back in. We named her Angelina because right from the first sonogram we were told she was not going to make it. Her sac was half the size of the others and her heart rate was 89 when theirs was 125. She is a little fighter and I am so greatful that I was given the opportunity to be their mother.
We miss Alexa everyday and feel that she is still with us. She know watches over her sisters and we will make sure that the girls know they are not twins but two of three amazing little angels that we had on April 21st 2009.

Rest in peace Alexa Rose. Mommy and Daddy Love you

triplets

Post by Literatriz »

Hi,
It has been a long time since I checked this forum...nice to read that some of us had triplets! We have three healthy 8 month old girls. I don't have much time - get used to it if you have triplets so here it goes:
- if they confirm multiples consider very seriously NOT to get genetic testing. Some in my group lost their babies that way
- during the pregnancy, eat and drink as recommended; I did and it was a life saver
- join a local organizations for parents of multiples
- learn to crochet or how to knit; there will be long hours of wait.

Have fun! Wish you the very best, literatriz
