Sabi: That is awesome!!! You have six blasts in the freezer as a backup. Good luck.

I took my hcg shot yesterday morning. Hopefully I will not have to do another cycle. If I do we are going to do a combo femara/gonal-f cycle next month with IUI.

Take care all,
Tammy

Sabi - GREAT NEWS !! Enough for a couple of tries (not that you need that many, but a nice feeling).

Tammy - GOOD LUCK - Hope the "old fashion" way is going great. Remember you only need 1 !!

Sabi: Looks like the one on the right is an extended blast; breaking through the shell.

Hi everyone.
sounds like everyone is busy on this board. I haven't been on in a while. I just got back last night from Orlando Florida. we stayed at the Hilton Resort, but we didnt do the disney parks. My ob threatned me not to ha ha. Im glad i didn't. I had trouble just walking around the outlets and walking to the pool everyday. I can't believe how uncomfortable I am with 10 weeks still to go. I really wonder if I am further along. I am so huge. My belly looks like a big round watermelon. Up until today i have had 0 swelling of face or feet or anything. but this afternoon my dh came in from work and said oh my look at your feet. they looked like little pig feet. I said omg i didn't even notice. I think walking so much at those outlets and riding the 7 hours home yesterday caused that. I hope thats what it is. I dont like it. I was never this uncomfortable at 7 months with my other 2. I fear something is wrong or maybe my due date is wrong. I had the beta test following ivf in nov. and got a negative on that and then started af 3 days after that negative and then got pregnant the very next cycle naturally. Do you think the beta could have been wrong and i really did get pregant from ivf? Do you know of any one getting a false negative beta? maybe i am just huge and i should accept that. Oh well sorry to talk everyones head off. I hope you all are doing well. sorry i haven't been in touch more.

Hi everyone..Tammy told me there was a over 40 thread in the "general" forum. Thanx Tammy!!!

I'm 44 and this is my first IVF. I have 2 children from a previous marriage DD~22 and DS~19. I lost both my tubes in 1990 and just remarried a wonderful guy 10yrs my jr with no children so here we go!!

I've been stimming for 10 days now using Follistim, at last u/s I had 3 pretty good size follies. I keep hearing how low the stats are for us over 40 but I have a good feeling about this. I hope I'm right. I have a very good RE in NJ. Dr Check, anyone heard of him? So I'm cautiously keeping faith.

In this new age of "cougers" (lol)..I hope we are paveing the way for future over 40 woman, maybe medical science will find a fullproof way with our help. I know my RE put out a published article on "low dose stimming" for low reserve/poor responers.

My Protocol: Cycle day 5: Started stimms 150LU Follistim once a day w/Estroidol 0.25 mg once a day
Cycle day11: 225 Continue Follistim once a day, Stop
Estroidol
Cycle day13: 225 Continue Follistim 225/ Cetrotide 0.25
Last u/s: Day 13 6/19/09 3 follies/ Bloodwork: Estroidol~225/Prog~0.7/LH~7/FSH~17.

:D Good morning ladies :D

Welcome Sharon. This is a great group of ladies here to support you along your journey.

Welcome back Renee. Seattle, oh how I have found childhood memories of Seattle. We still have lots of family in there parts.

Sha1-How are you doing?

Hope everybodies weekend is going well. It's be the triple H's here hot humid and hazey. I was in Charlotte, NC yesterday for a football tournement the heat would have been unbearable had there not been a nice breeze. Reminded me of the breezes in Maui. If only I were lounging on the beach sipping a fruity cocktail. Today promises to be equally as hot [humid and hazey].

Sending out the babydust and PMA to all our ladies in waiting.

Cheers!

Hello Ladies:

Renee: You are right regarding the IUI vs IVF. The easiest fertility cycle has to Femara, since it is just a pill and no injectibles. However, if I do not get preggo on this current cycle I will do a combo Femara/Gonal-f. I'm not sure how many follies I will get with this protocol.

Sharon: Good luck on your cycle.

Rhonda: Some women gain more weight than others. Does your ob think that your baby is a big baby? Andrew was 8 lbs 7.3 oz and I gained 35 lbs with him. I think beta tests are pretty accurate. My ankles swelled up with Andrew. Especially if I was on my feet a lot.

Catharine: Maui does sound heavenly.

Hello to everyone else.

Regards,
Tammy

Hello ladies! Just waiting for my call back on this morning's lab and u/s. They might tell me to trigger tonight. I have 2 follies...not much but my RE is a big fan of the "one good egg" theory!!!
