Man, I have some menstrual cramping come on again today at 7dp3dt (10 dpo)! The last time this cycle I felt like that was last Sunday. Although I got a BFN this morning, I hope the menstrual cramping is a good sign and not just a side effect of the progesterone shots!
Am soooooooooooooooo happy. Got my BFP this morning and am on a complete high. I cant concentrate on anything but who cares. It made me even happier to call my hubby at work and give him the absolutely, positively fantastic news. I was crying the whole time and I know he was keeping it in. After four years we finally have our BFP.
Even my RE's receptionist was thrilled.
I cheated and did the HPT three times. The first was on 17/06, then 18/06 and then once again this morning before my beta. All came out positive but I am too cynical to just believe the HPT's. My beta score is 176.
Congratulations, Hopeful_009! What wonderful news!
AFM, I have my beta Monday morning. I have NOT takes a HPT yet, and don't know that I will. I woke up last night 2 times to pee, and I feel very weak physically. Also, sore bbs. What do you guys make of this?
Lauren,
If I were a betting girl, I would say Yep, you caught the prego dust! Those are the same "symptoms" I had. Tired beyond belief, (fatigue), sore tatas, (didn't even want DH looking at them!), peeing all the time (God help me when these kids start growing more, might invest in depends now!)
I took my first hpt this morning (13dp4dt) and it was a BFP!!!!!!!! Do you think this is right? I have my beta tomorrow! Let you know what happens then!
Congratulations, Lauren! That's fantastic news! Please provide an update tomorrow when they call you with the beta #.
As for me, I know I'm not completely out of the running, but I got another BFN yesterday morning at 9dp3dt (12dp retrieval). So I didn't even test this morning. I figure why waste the tests. I will test Tuesday morning before my beta blood test so I'll know for sure if the nurse will call me with a negative result.
As for me, this cycle is officially over. I knew it beforehand, but the nurse called with my beta results and they were negative. So I will be taking this next cycle off and then I can start up on the BCP and do it all over again.
Some things I learned from this 1st IVF cycle:
1. The injections didn't hurt much at all and were quite tolerable. Also, they gave me something constructive to do during this whole process.
2. The side effects were almost non-existent for me (PIO shots, Lupron, Follistim, etc.).
3. Egg Retrieval didn't hurt at all. I was a bit sore that night and the next day, but nothing I couldn't handle.
4. Egg Transfer was a piece of cake. The next time, i just won't drink as much water beforehand.
The worst part was the 2ww because, other than the PIO shots, there was nothing to do but wait!
Things I will do differently next cycle:
1. Instead of cutting out exercise completely, i will do moderate exercise all the way through except for ER day and the day after and ET day and the day after.
2. I won't POAS until the day before or the day of my beta.
Hi everyone ~ Here is a little history on me, ttc for > 3 yrs, DH is 35 and I am 40. We have had 3 failed IUI, 2 attempted IVF (old doctor) and 1 ectopic and Et (new doctor). We changed doctors due to job relocation and he is much more positive than the last. He promotes accupuncture and yoga for fertility and I think this is why we have gotten this far. We had retrieval on Monday and are schedule for transfer tomorrow! Had 7 follicles with only one egg - clinic said fertilization was normal. Waiting to here what time we go in tomorrow! I am hoping that the embryo is devloping and we will get to transfer. Does anyone know how many embryo's don't develop fully and transfer has to be cancelled?
welcome all the newbies.
rsdrisco.... I am so sorry girl. big hugs to you.
