Poohgirl - so sorry to hear that your long awaited cycle had to be cancelled! That is really, really too bad!! So close, and yet so far...
Sounds like your donor herself will have to go through IVF one day herself. Too bad everyone had to find that out on your time though!!!!
Do hope you get a proven donor lined up soon and won't have too long to wait. Thinking of you today.

Sabi - fantastic news about your embies! Hope you are coping well on the 2WW and that DH is taking good care of you. Sit back and put your feet up whenever you can and let those beautiful embies snuggle in. Hope you are feeling good and are staying positive!!

Hello Ladies,

I am new to DE, however not new to IVF. I will be doing my 1st DE cycle at Gennet Aug 3-13 and would love to hear from all who have gone what they thought. I have been given my donors info, commitment on the dates, given basic protocol, booked the airline tickets, and am waiting to be invoiced and receive my prescriptions. I am nervous and excited. This will be the last time we cyle, we have to draw a line, it is too expensive and taxing on our minds and my body. Everything I have read to date has been positive.

Evergreen - welcome! I can relate in the respect that this is also my first DE cycle and will be my last. So much ridining on this! Couldn't remember if you had your dates set yet.....my estimated retrieval date will be somewhere around Aug. 14th.

AFM, I'm so nervous because tomorrow my sister (my donor) is getting her day 3 bw and us (on day 4 because the clinic in Fla. is closed on the weekends) She is age 31 and very healthy - so everything should be fine - PLEASE God let it be!

Welcome, evergreen! I had success with my first and only DE cycle in February. We also have 3 frosties, which was something I never had with any of my own cycles and it somehow put me at ease, knowing that if the first try didn't work, then another chance (without all the extra cost) was possible. We did our tmt at Pronatal in Prague.
Wishing you all the best! Sounds like you and JDC will be cycle buddies in August!

Sabi - glad you enjoyed the visit with your family! August isn't too far away and you will get the chance to see your nephew again! How old is he? Enjoy the father's day celebration today! Hopefully, DH is also joining in as a future father-to-be! Stay cool and drink lots in the hot, humid weather and don't overdo things! Take care of yourself!

JDC - nice to see you popping in! Got my fingers crossed that all went well with your sister's tests!! Sounds like you are moving along! Our donor was 30, so I don't think you have any worries with 31.

Morning ladies .. I know god its even early in UK - like 5am ish

Well I POAS yesterday - super sensistive one and thought it showed BFN .. hence being gutted and not posted .. it was one of those type you actualy pee on so am now thinking prob missed the test wand !!! - but when looked at it like 30 mins later there was a faint line .... spent most of day in tears gutted for ma and DH .. went out to Bingo with MIL last night and was saying to myself if I win it will mean I am preganant .. I have never in my life won ... lasy game .. guess what I won ... and this morning i peed in a cup and used my clearblue .. in less than a minute my 'preganant'sign appeared .... OMG it has actually worked .. never in my life have I had a positive on HPT .. so can't get back to sleep now ... am in shock .. I kow its early days and got to get to wednesday for BETa

Everygreen welcome !! - I have had my last 2 cycles at gennet - first fresh BFN, but got my BFP this am from my FET cycle . The clinic is great, and there english is excellent right down to lab girls .. never had any issues with communication! If you need to know any specifics just PM me... good luck honey - where are you from ???

Evergreen - welcome to the thread. As I am sure you are reading, success quite quickly is common! I am home on mat leave with my two beautiful 9 month old twins - conceived through IVF using a donor. I had 8 failed IVF attempts before turning to DE and we got pregnant on our first round.

Better fly! What an exciting time! Carolyn, congratulations once again... I am absolutely thrilled for you!

AFM, I'm happy because my sis's us showed 14 antral follicles. Yeah!! Still waiting for bw but I'm sure it's fine. I was so sick with anxiety this morning about this and now I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders!

I've been happy all day just thinking about Carolyn and your news! Since I missed 10 days Carolyn, was this a FET or a new ED completely? So out of touch. We were at the beach for 10 days.

It was hard without a computer this past week. Not disclosing the ED stuff with anyone other than my DH and not communicating with you ladies was a challenge. What a great thread this is for all of us. It's invaluable.

Thanks for letting me know about the timeline. I had no idea if it would be 8 weeks or 12 weeks or more for the ER. I just know i have to call them next month when I get AF. I was so excited by the call that I hung up and didn't ask many questions.

Good stuff going on here. Keep us posted everyone. I hang on to all of your news.
