Thank you all for thinking of us and cheering us all on. Very much appreciated. Thank you. Thank you.

No news yet. Waiting.........waiting..........waiting.

So want all to go well for my sister and him to get here very soon. Simply cannot wait now. Am on pins waiting for the call to come now.

Yasmina - yes everything is ready. Will definitely take a look at the thread for Parenting over 40. Sounds like it will be a perfect place to get advice

Spoke to dear sister yesterday. No signs yet. But her other 2 labours have started with her waters breaking. She does not want me there this week to help with her kids. I think that she feels that it will just increase the pressure/waiting. She has a point. She says she is quite itchy but otherwise she seems to be fine. She is so amazing.

Not quite sure what to do with myself right now. Did lots of cooking yesterday. Very unlike me  Just trying to pass the time. :? :?

I will of course keep you posted. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. Completely hyper.

Will let you know when we have news.

Lots of Love

Thank you Jeni and Angie for your messages. :D :D

Going slowly stir crazy

My dh and I are both impatient and hate being late at the best of times. Our little boy is playing us before he is even here    Hospital were adamant that due date was yesterday despite ivf dates.

My sister is still doing fine and seems the calmest of all of us! Which is of course the most important thing of all. She is keeping me 100 miles (literally) away which I think is wise on her part!

Keep thinking that as each day/night passes that we cannot have much longer until we finally get to meet our son.

Have a lovely weekend. Hope that it is a sunny one where you are! Hope to have news soon - over weekend???
Love

Hi Carolyn,

I cycled with you in 2006, and I remember you being so supportive! You were everyone's cheer leader and optimist. Many of us were able to keep some semblance of sanity because of you. Thank you for being a great person and poster!

I just found your post, and I am sooooo thrilled for you! Your story brought tears to my eyes.
I wish you all the best, and I can't wait to hear an update!!

loves,

beth

Beth - of course I remember you. Thank you for the lovely post. I found that being helpful was a way that I kept sane through all of the madness. What a ticker you have! Good Luck with the twins due soon

LauraLou/Carolyn - thank you both for continuning to cheer me on in the final lap of the marathon!

We are still waiting. I was sure that it would be over the weekend as hospital said due date was last Thursday (even though I did not alter the ticker). Plus my sister was on time with her 8 year old daughter and 4 days early with her 3 year old son.

Would have been lovely for him to come on Fathers Day. Card for my dh can be kept for next year!

It is my Mum's birthday tomorrow. Would be lovely for all of us - me, my dear sis and our Mum - if he did come tomorrow.

I now just really need him to be here. I am worried about helping my sister through labour but I am just longing for him to be safely here. It is hurting inside me the need to get him here!? :?

Love to you all.

Thanks Em. No I still here. Firmly rooted to computer  No trip to the hospital just yet

Shantala - we both thought the weekend then  Would have been less stressful in terms of traffic. We can get there in about 1 1/2 hours on a clear run from London to Birmingham. My heart is in my mouth every rush hour as would hate to get stuck in dam traffic and not be able to get there quickly for my dear sis

Keep offering to go to Birmingham but she is keeping me well away to reduce her stress levels. She knows what a stress bummy I am. Sensible girl. :D

Keep looking at my ticker. So close to the end now. Wonder what happens if we go over??? Hope it keeps going..........

Thank you both.

Hi Shantala

Thanks for trying to help. We could of course decamp to near my sister but then I think that she'd feel duty bound to let us stay which would sort of defeat the object. We talked about going to a hotel nearby and just not telling her but we would have been there for a week already!!!!

My dh is also trying to stay working so he has as much time off as possible when we get the baby home. There is no maternity or paternity leave because of the surrogacy situation. All the rights go to my dear sister and her hubbie. So I am still trying to do some work from home also.

Guess we are trying to save money where possible so I can have as much time off work as possible after the little one is here. Shame but it comes down to financial considerations and also whilst we are further away at least I can keep looking at his nursery and his moses basket. Think that I'd be crawling up the hotel walls by now. Does not mean that we will not decamp if he is not here later this week

Thanks for offering support as always babe. Cannot believe that your little lady is so grown up already. Over a year. WOW. Bet it has flown by. You'll be back for a little brother or sister before too long

Lots of Love
