It took me 9 tries but it finally works and now I am enjoying my 9 month twins! It was well worth it. And while it is agony going through it, the heartaches melts away when you lay eyes on your little ones.

Good luck on your 7th attempt! Are they changing your protocol at all?

Kelly
7 IVF cycles - 2 chemicals, 5 BFN
1 FET cycle - BFN
9th IVF cycle - BFP!! Twins born Sept 18/08

Hi Kelly, congratulations, twins, wow, you must have been over the moon!
I don't know whether they will be changing anything, I have my check up in about two weeks so will know then.

I see you went for donor eggs. They don't allow that here in Germany. Not that I would be keen really. If it didn't work with my own, I would rather just take the adoption route. Also still have faith that my eggs still have it!

Angela.

Hi,

I'm on my 4th cycle and I honestly didn't think I'd be able to do the 2nd, 3rd or the 4th cycle, but when you want something so bad you just know you haven't got to give up!

Kelly - congratulations on your twins!

Angela - could you not try surrogacy? They would still be your eggs. I think it's something I'd consider if it didn't work for me and DH. Just a thought

Good luck with everything x

Hi Vicky, no can't imagine doing that either. Either it works for us, or we adopt, that's a definite. So have you had success yet, or still on the treadmill? How many cycles have you done altogether, any FETs inbetween?

Hi Angela,

This is my 4th IVF/ICSI cycle. We had 2 fresh cycles and 1 FET - wouldn't be doing FET again though.

No BFP's for us....yet! We're having blastocyst this time (hopefully if i produce enough eggs!) So fingers crossed with it being a different cycle this 1 ET will be a BFP! :D

I can't imagine adoption for me, but unless I change my mind as I get older. Suppose everyone's different aren't they.

Hi Vicky, we haven't heard from you, so I'm guessing it's bad news. We all know how utterly heartbreaking it is. Don't give up please, look at me on my seventh time round. Remember it takes some people years to get pregnant normally. Also, there are so many other opportunities. Remember, if you want something enough, you will get it eventually.
Have faith, and courage to post again! Thinking of you, Ange.

Souris! Congratulations! I remember you saying you were giving up for good back then. I wasn't going to try again after six failures but here we are again. We are also going to put 3 back this time so who knows the same might happen to us.. I just got discouraged not knowing how long it's going to take with the adoption. We got approved in the spring.
Good luck with everything :)
