Question for Ghost-HCG Booster shot

Post by *Ert* »

Hi,

I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit about the HCG booster shot. After my tranfer my doctor is having me take HCG in small doses three times. I will take my last dose 1,500 units tomorrow and then I will test for pregnancy 6 days later. Will it be out of my system by then since I have taken extra on top of the trigger shot which was 10,000 units?
Trigger shot was on June 14
First small dose of HCG was on June 19, then the 22, then the 25
Test date-July 1st.

Thanks

The goal is to stimulate the corpora lutea to produce progesterone.

Almost all of it will be gone by July 1, but patients vary, and besides that, I am not familiar with this protocol. I could believe that a little might remain. However, by that point, the hCG from a pregnancy would overwhelm it.

If your hCG comes back as 5 IU/L, it might be the shot. If it comes back as 200 IU/L, then you're pregnant.

Your clinic should have specific rules for interpreting this if they have been doing this awhile. We never use luteal hCG.
