I'm so jealous!! Everybody has the cutest, clearest sonogram pics! Apparently my doc must use an old machine, because my sonograms are very blurry are the baby just looks like a blob, I can't see anything like legs, arms, face. Even when I showed the sonogram pics to my mother-in-law she said "awww you're having a blob!"

cymplicity, your baby bump is so cute!! Mine is still small, I just look bloated, not pregnant LOL

Has anyone thought about keeping their baby's cord blood? I'm really wanting to do it...even though it's MORE money. But if it saves my baby's life someday, it would be worth it. If anyone else is considering it, which registry are you going to use? I think I'm going with ViaCord, simply because I get $500 off ( I got a coupon from my ivf doc).

Take care everyone!!!
Kelly

Kelly I'm surprised at how clear the u/s are too. In the past I've never been able to make out a baby in one of those things. Of course it's a little different too when it's your own :)

I got some literature on cord blood but haven't read it yet. We did say we'd either keep it or donate it. I had no idea it was THAT expensive!!! We'll have to think long and hard about it now. Especially with 2 babies.

Well I'm heading to another appt this afternoon. Can't wait to see the babies!

Good OB appt, u/s will be either 7/8 or the 15th, have to figure out with hubby what works with his schedule. My doc's the best and has reassured me I'm not "high risk" just b/c of my age. I am "at risk" for certain issues, but he isn't concerned and he is just watching my BP, urine, etc more closely at each visit... :)

Well I got more bad (well not so good) news at my appt  . First, the good news. The babies are fine and rolling all over the place! The tech still thinks Baby A is a boy and declared today that she thinks Baby B is a girl (just as I've always suspected! lol). But it's early and still not official yet. There is no sign of the bleeding that was there before and we believe my body has absorbed it all...yaay! :D

The bad news is that my cervical length went from 3.1cm to 2.8cm in a week. I have to go back for ANOTHER u/s next week! The doc said that they don't usually start to worry until it gets around <2.5cm. She told me not to worry (yeah right) and that they are just being cautious and want to monitor me. If it continued to shorten I'd have to get a cervical cerclage (a stitch to keep the cervix closed). I'm convinced there won't come a time in this pregnancy where I can relax

Cynthia: I'm on the same page with you, but you know what? I say to hell with worrying- easier said than done- but I truly believe God has a plan in all of this, no matter the outcome, He always, ALWAYS, uses things for the good! So I say whenever you feel that worry creeping it, kick it in the a**! I'm going to try to, as well!!!!!!!!!

LOL, I hear ya Nicole! I'm not too worried. I guess I'm just thinking (as my mom would say) "if it ain't one thing, it's another". Luckily they are starting to monitor it early. The worst that could happen would be that I'd have to go in for stitches. I'm still confident that the babies are going to be just fine

That doesn't sound like much fun Nicole :? . Are you feeling better today?

I started a post asking about the cervical length. You'll see that twinmom responded saying that she was in a similar situation at 17 wks and was put on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy    Now I'm anxious more than ever to get to my appointment next week! The thing is, even if it's still around 2.8cm (I don't expect it could get better at this point, only worse) I'd continue to have to be monitored and stay worried.

Woe is me.

Hello:

Cynthia I had a friend who needed a cerclage, she didn't need to be on bedrest after it, and everything were fine. So, don't worry about it.

To everyone, have a good weekend!!!

Speaking of pounds....remember last week when I said I had only gained 1 pound? Well yesterday at my appt I had picked up 6 lbs in the last week! Here they come! Babies are weighing 4 oz and 3 oz. From what I've been reading that seems big for 15 wks. But I'm happy! :D

Cynthia - I would try to worry either. I'm sure everything will be just fine! I am curious now though what my cervical length will be. My doctor has never mentioned it. I actually have a scheduled appointment on Tuesday instead of showing up with something wrong.

Nicole - I hope your feeling better. I have the opposite problem...constipation. I get so excited to have a BM, I tell DH. lol. He just tells me he didn't really need to know that.

AFM - No spotting now for 2 weeks! I'm still being careful though not to overdo it. I don't think I've gained much weight. Maybe 5 pounds if that. I feel like I've gained 10 though. Is anyone else feeling bubbles in their stomach? I've read that it could be the babies moving but just feels like gas to me.

LOL! Amy that is too funny! I also tell DH "hey, I pooped twice today"!! And he responds the same with "thanks for sharing".

They will probably only mention your cervical length if there is a problem. In the past I've always heard "ok, let's look at your cervix...looks good!" and never really paid much attention. I was also told that they can get different measurments at different times so maybe next week it won't be as bad.

So glad there hasn't been anymore spotting! None for me either.

I feel some of everything going on in my stomach. The u/s tech did ask if I'd felt any movement so maybe I'll pay a little more attention now. :D

Hi Aims, I know it's early, but I'm sure I have felt the baby move in the last few days. It's really light, but I know it's not gas. Feeling it also reminded me of what it felt like when I was pregnant with my son. I didn't feel him move till a few weeks later in my pregnancy, but I think since this is my 2nd I'm feeling things sooner. Glad you have no more spotting! That is good to hear!

Cymplicity, A friend of mine also had a cerclage done and she was on strict bed rest from about 20 weeks. She ended up carrying till full term and baby was fine. I'm sure you will be ok. That would be awesome if you have a girl and a boy!
