Hey Chriss

I have a baby boy and he is quite a handful guy now, starting flipping, making loud gargling sounds, responds tremendously. I can be myself only when he is sleeping otherwise I am Anay's mom!! I am thoroughly enjoying this life.

I see that you are coming closer to the end first trimester. How is nausea etc? How was the h/b? Any scans?

Hugs...

Hi Sonu,
I'm so glad that you are so happy. You deserve it. Thanks for checking up on me. Things are going very well. We had our 10 week scan today and everything looks fine. I'm feeling good. I'm actually starting to show a bit, I've heard that happens earlier with twins. I'm thinking of you and wishing you all the best.

Hi Carolyn, How are you doing pregnant lady? Yes, it's true, you are pregnant! I still have a tough time believing that I'm pregnant. After all we've been through, it's no wonder. Feel good and take care of yourself.

Hi Summer, hope you are having a great day!

Great news Sabi!!!

Hi chriss - just read your post and so happy to hear that your 10 week scan went well!! Are you still with your RE or are you at the ob/gyn? How often are you going in? Probably by your next visit, you'll be at the 12 week mark, 3 months, already!
Hope you are doing well and feeling fine, or has nausea set it? Hope it isn't too bad, if it has.
I'm sure you have a cute little bump going there! Enjoy shopping for maternity clothes when the time comes. Maternity pants are actually quite comfortable!
How is DH?

Hi Carolyn, how did your midwife appt go? Is that someone you choose in the UK or is one assigned to you? Here, we have the option to use one or not. Later this month, we are going on a tour of the hospital and we'll ask some questions at that time about midwives, as my doctor isn't really into using them, but I think they could have a lot of information to offer
Less than 2 weeks till your u/s!! Have any symptoms started? Nice new ticker, by the way!

chriss - how do midwives work where you are?

Sabi - come over and join in!

As I wrote on the other thread, my anatomy/organ scan went well today and I was so happy and relieved. So everything they can check for, has been checked for and ruled out -- I feel like I can finally relax a little -- except that there is now so much work to do to get ready! LOL

You guys will really love getting these scans, they are just amazing.

Enjoy the rest of your day and your week!
xx summer

Chris - glad your scan all went ok - how you feeling ?? xx

sabi - we need you on this side !!!!

Went to see midwife today for initial appointment - cos had treatment abroad and don't want to eep paying £100 to see RE routine doctor refrs you to local midwife based at clinic - she is then in charge of your care through preganany - cos of IVF though I have shared care and will get to see the consultant too - but for free    she took vials of blood, urine sample and asked a million and one questions - think she was more intrigued about IVF and actually going abroad for treatment - did not tell her had booked private scan - as with normal pregnancy in UK first scan is around 12 weeks - baring in moind 'normal' people don't know there preganat till usually 8 weeks !! so thats me today - just waiting for DH to get back to take me to accupuncture

Hi Carolyn,
Glad your appt with the midwife went well! How often do you see her? How are you feeling?
Do you also go to see an ob/gyn? Is that the consultant you talked about? Where do you go for your scans? How many will you get?

Sorry for so many questions! Every country has their own system!

We are in the middle of organizing things, moving rooms around to make room for the baby. We have started buying things, which is lots of fun.
As we don't yet know what we are having, our color scheme is trying to remain relatively neutral and I'll do more when I know more! :D I think it has been really hard, because in this day and age, most everyone finds out what they are having and everything seems geared toward either boys or girls and there isn't much for the unknown...But, DH is still set on keeping it a surprise.

Looking forward to having more egg-heads join us over here!

Hi chriss - hope you are well! Are you finally on summer vacation?

Hey Summer,
Yes, I am finally on summer vacation!!! I'm so glad that your anatomy scan went well! Great news!!! It must be fun to actually start buying things! So what neutral color are you going with? green? yellow? I give you a lot of credit for being able to wait to find out the gender!!!

Hi Carolyn, how's it going? How are you feeling? Are you experiencing any nausea, tiredness, food aversions???? Do you believe it yet?

AFM... I'm feeling fat!!! Not quite a baby bump, but definitely thick in the middle. It's getting hard to hide. As a teacher with summers off, I spend a lot of time at the beach with my friends... they must be wondering why I've been keeping so many clothes on and sitting under the umbrella all the time!!! I can't reveal my tummy to them yet!!! I think with twins you start to show a little sooner. I keep wondering if I am eating too much or if this is indeed because of the babies???

Well, off to the 4th of July festivities. Look forward to chatting some more with you:)
XOXO

Hey Chris and Carolyn

Great to see u guys are doing so well!!!
Chris, its amazing to relax after a hectic academic year...the vacations are the most relaxing time for teachers and with such a great news in hiding, it all the more fun. Bet, you cant hide it for long.

Carolyn, glad appointment with midwife went well. 1001 questions are reasonable.. :D. I will be keeping an eye very closely on u. Hope u r pampering urself to the max and not sweating much in the summers of London.

Just a small advice fm ur friend, as far as twin pregnancy goes, just keep an eye on smallest of change in your body, keep a close watch on swelling of ankles, feet etc and regularly check your bp. Any change aor fluctuation must immediately be reported to the doc.
