also..another question? is there anyone who is taking HCG shots after ET? i will be taking 3 of them, along with progesterone gel. now, i was planning to POAS every other day, till the HCG of the trigger shot is out of the system and then look for BFP as early as possible..looks like its not going to work now!

im taking HCG shot of 2000 IUI every 3rd day till 7th and my first beta is on 11th. Will I ever be able to see a confirmed result on HPT? at least on 11th morning? how long will a 2000 IUI HCG remain in our system? this is such a big blow for a POAS crazy woman like me..

hi - sunshine - I thought that I was the only one having to take the hcg shots and progesterone gel after ET. I dont know exactly how long after the final hcg that you can poas. I think that you would wait a minimum of 4 days though. It seems like by that time its almost time for your beta anyway. STICKY STICKY thoughts!!

So I went in to RE for BW and U/S. I always go in and never ask any questions and always think of tons of them when I leave. I decided I was going to ask questions today. The tech asked if I had changed my meds and I said no. I asked if my follicles were growing she said yes. Well I recieved a call from the doctor. My follicle count is low and there seems to be one that is 19 cm. He says this is too large for day 7 of stim. He is thinking and hoping that it's a 9 and a 10 cm folli stuck together. I am to continue stim and go back in on Tues. I'm so sad right now. I'm assuming that if things aren't good on Tues then it's back to the drawing board. I've cried too many times today. Argh. I hope we get good news on Tues.

Rosario - I hope everything works out for you. I'm praying for you.

katie99 - I guess so, especially when you don't have a choice.

belle-02 - Congrats on BFP!! I am so excited for you. :D :D

angeinhull - I asked today when I went in and you are correct. The first 5 days the follies develop and then they grow.

Wicked- I am proof that you only need one! Hang in there, rest, rest. We are all doing the "ONLY NEED ONE" dance for you. Let us worry, you relax and meditate. I kept repeating for days The Hail Mary, Our Father, Niche's Creed, any prayer I could think of. I also have Chinese prayer beads that repeat, 'Where you place your will, there you will achieve.' I literally would lay in bad and try to PUSH all my PMA to my adbomen will repeating that one. I still do it everyday, 23 times total. I know, crazy. But it has become my mantra. It has a way of calming me down.

Belle!!!!! YAY!!! I am so happy that you broke like me and POAS early!! I am continuing to POAS, just because I like seeing the lines get darker. I have already done a digital and a line one today!! BFP! DH says that's enough, but then he wakes up and asks about it first thing. ha, ha. Congrats!

Katie99- OMG!! Love Miss AVA! She is precious and making me want another pup. Have fun. How is potty training going??

Rosario- Thinking about you. Let us know what happens, we are all praying for you.

Sarah- You have a plan! That to me is always the hardest part. Once I know what I am going to do, I am all set. We are here for you and ready to head down that path.

Michelle- We saw The Hangover. HILARIOUS. I was laughing so hard, I was holding my abdomen, worried I would hurt embie. There really isn't much raunch until maybe the very end credits, great distraction.

Johannanita- Wishing you luck on Tuesday. Stay hydrated.

Sunshine- Welcome to the dreaded wait. I am so sorry that POAS is not going to work for you. I am not sure about when those other shots would be out of you. I was scared to go #2 as well, told not to 'strain.' After 3 days of no action, I resorted to some pruins. Sorry if TMI, but I sure felt a heck of a lot better. Could be side effects from swollen ovaries and anesthia (sp?).

Debbie- have fun with shots. I had to take a lot of Follistim and it does burn, no way around it I think. Just remember to think that it is for a BABY!!

Really no new news around here. Trying to get DH to pick up more for himself. Finally bought the book "What to Expect..." I bought it 8 years ago when we first started TTC. I threw it away out of disgust about three years ago during a move. I refused to buy it again until I saw some reason to need it. Hope we didnt jinx anything! Love to all.

Hi all,

Johannanita: Welcome! sounds like we will be having our ERs very similar in time (right now I am scheduled for the 2nd of July). I hope that it is indeed 2 follicles stuck together. Of course, you only need one egg ultimately to make this work so don't lose faith yet. Good luck and I know you'll find this forum very helpful.

Rosario: For so much puking, you sound in good spirits! :D Hang in there and know that it's all worth it!

angeinhull: We're pretty similar right now....I'm stimming away, free of side effects, and getting lots of u/s and b/w done. What do you attribute the lack of side effects to? The only thing I am consciously doing is drinking a TON of water a day--around 2 liters each day. Don't know if it's helping, but I'm not going to quit anytime soon! Plus it makes my skin look great so that's an added bonus!

belle02: CONGRATS!!! Wow, another bfp for our thread! Such great news...you must be so excited!!!!!

katie99: OK, too effing cute! Oh I love her! What a great thing to happen in the middle of all this IVF stuff. Now you've got me seriously thinking about another puppy!!!!

sbr: January it is, then! Your attitude sounds really great and I certainly support your decision. Good luck and stay on the thread as long as you can--we'll all miss you too much if you leave!

Debbie67: Here's hoping that your meds don't sting too much. Sometimes mine sting a little but it doesn't last very long. This process will definitely make you tougher!

sunshine12: You're not crazy. I would have the same fears and precautions as you're having so I think it's pretty normal. Make a list of everything and ask your clinic what they think and let us all know! Good luck during this nerve-wracking time!

AFM, OK, hotel life has lost its charm. I'm beginning to go stir crazy. Tonight is my 5th night, DH is still at home and I don't know a soul here in Denver. Ugh. There's only so much TV one can watch. Today I went to the pool and was loving it.....gorgeous sunshine, and then after about 20 minutes it clouded up and I got cold and called it quits. DRAT! Even my pool idea didn't work! Oh well..........

Went to the clinic yesterday. Follicles are growing and E2 levels look good so all is on target. They did cut my Gonal-F in half yet again (down to 75 per night). Sure would have been nice to know ahead of time that I wouldn't need as much before I bought all those meds. The Gonal-F alone was like $3,000! Double ugh. It's all worth it though, right??!! :D

Back to the clinic tomorrow, so I'll let you know the scoop. Until then, everyone take care!

Hi ladies,

Hope we've all had a lovely weekend x I don't check in for 1 day and so much happens!!

Belle - congrats on your BFP!! You must be very excited! :D

CT_Michele - glad to hear you're sticking with us! :D Like Ange responded we do a HPT at home and report to the unit. I think sometimes I woudl prefer to have a blood test - seems more accurate then because my period can be irregular I usually don't start my period until a week after the HPT and until then I'm still thinking there could be a chance that I might be pregnant!

I spoke about POAS before test day to my parents and DH last night and although DH was a bit aganist it I feel I might give it a go this time - got nothing to lose.

Rosario - hope you are feeling better?

Angeinhull - hope your scan went well today.

Katie99 - thanks for the PMA! ha ha It's definitely working on me! :D

Well the stim injections aren't as bad as I remembered them to be! Although my injection last night was slightly painful! DH says he's getting better, but I think I've just told myself to stop being a baby and just get on with it! Will all be worth it in the end! Getting a lot of hot flushes on a night, ususally starts about 10pm just before bed! Mood swings are starting to kick in a little as well! Can be so silly how something can make turn me from Mrs Happy to Mrs Grumpy!! My poor DH! One good thing is I'm now on sick leave from work, so enjoying relaxing at home! Although I think I best limit myself to how long I'm on here!

Sorry for not responding to everyone - there's just so many of us! But congrats to thos BFP's and so sorry for the BFN. My thoughts are with you x

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that I had my beta this morning and I am not pregnant. The level was 0. I've felt incredibly stressed about getting this result for a week now. Something inside me just knew it wasn't going to work. For 4 years I've had nothing but negative results so I told myself that I'd just got conditioned to expecting this, but it seems I was right.

DH is devastated and so am I. We only had two embryos and both were transferred, so nothing is frozen. We want to keep trying so I guess we've got alot of questions to ask our RE so that we can know what our timing might be for another round.

I'm 37 and we're 100% self funding so I feel like we are staring at a very real possibility of never having a family. I have a wonderful DH and we both agreed that we'd rather have a great marriage and no kids than to be with the wrong person and have a family. I guess I just thought having both wasn't too much to hope for. I'm so happy that there are so many BFPs on this thread and I so hoped to be one of them. Good luck to all of you and I'll check back here when I'm in a better frame of mind.

Kx

Kushka...I am so sorry. I know how much it hurts. When we lost all our embryos after they were thawed I seriously thought my heart was going to break in half. I wish there was something I could say to make all the hurt go away. Take care of yourself and take good care of your marriage. If this doesnt work for me I too am grateful that I have a strong marriage and a great DH. I will be praying for you.

My phone appointment is in 2 minutes so i better go...will update on my new protocol in a bit!
