Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. DH and I spent the night at my sister's boyfriend's new house this past Saturday. He doesn't have all his furniture in yet and we slept on the sleeper sofa. BIG MISTAKE! I forgot all my pillows and had to make a belly wedge out of a dress I had on early and stuck his sofa cushion between my knees to get any relief! :? I've also been having more and more growing pains. I had to break down and buy the pregnacy support belt. I think it helps a little. I feel like I have menstrual cramps 24/7 down there. Not the worst case of cramps but just annoying and uncomfortable. Lower back pain has also set in.

How is everyone else feeling? Better than I am I hope! :D

cymplicity27- I can totally understand your pains especially with twins! For the past week I've been having lots of pulling and aches that aren't so comfortable so I can only imagine how it feels with twins. Hopefully they'll ease with the pregnancy :D

So I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes by an endo specialist although my ob said that I dont have it yet. Because of my PCOS I'm more prone to have GD because of my insulin resistance therefore they had to schedule an earlier glucouse test. My obgyn believes that i should start taking care of it now since i dont have it yet but most of PCOS with insulin resistance have it sooner or later in the pregnancy. So I have to stick myself 4 times a day and so far my readings have been excellent and I didnt have to change my diet at all which suggests I might not have GD afterall. I guess its better to be safe than sorry so I'll watch my sugar levels for the rest of the pregnancy.

well i hope everyone is doing well and growing their cute baby bumps!! :D :D

Cynthia - I know what you mean about the growing pains! I'm having the same problem. I think I will have to buy the pregnancy support belt as well.

dys - Sorry to hear you have GD. It's good they detected it now though. I have a feeling I'll have GD as well. I was on glucophage for insulin resistance until my OB took me off it when I was 12 weeks. So, I will be interested in knowing how my sugar does.

amy, glad to hear I'm not alone. Not that I wish pain on you :) but it's good to hear that some of what I'm experiencing is normal.

aims327- I was on metformin up until 7 weeks but my Re told me to stop which I regret doing. My obgyn says i don't have GD yet based on my 3hr test but the specialist says I do because she uses lower ranges than standard therefore I fall under it. I am doing my blood monitoring everyday and so far so good, so maybe I'll be able to control this so I dont have to go on insulin injections.

Has anyone felt movements yet? I started to feel for couple of days flutters like little pokes from the inside so I think it might be the baby :D

Nothing I can identify as movement yet dys24. I felt a flutter yesterday but not sure if it was the baby. I can't wait to feel something though! Although I'm thinking I'll be freaked out by it at first, lol! The thought something moving around in there is a little weird :P

I've definitely felt movement, but am only 18 weeks tomorrow- so it is not consistent, like I'd like for it to be, but I've heard that happens around 20 weeks :)

Hello everyone:

I am very happy to see, everyone is so relax and enjoying be preggo, even with all the bumps in the way.

AFM - I had my Ob-gyn app yesterday. He told me, the baby is pretty big and everything is fine. But . . . (always there is a but), it seems like is going to be a C-Sec for me because of the myoma. Grrr!!! I don't want a C-Sec, I want to live this expirience completly and enjoy the contractions and the pushing. Well, I have another apointment in 3 weeks to talk about amnio, I told him I don't want to do it, but he said , because of my age it is mandatory to do an evaluation with a specialist and receive the counseling.

Oh, my baby didn't let the doctor see the sex, he or she is very smart, wants to tourture mommy.LOL

Other thing, I gain 5lb  in the last month. Uf I'm getting pretty big.

Hope to hear good news in your next appointments to everyone.

Sary

I had my OB appointment today and everything was good. I was hoping for an ultrasound but the doctor heard two heartbeats on the doppler. My stomach does not like being pushed on. I'm having ligament pains now. I had my stomach measured and all he said was I was 3 weeks ahead of someone having one baby. I have my anatomy scan on July 14th! I was told I should definitely be feeling movement in a couple weeks.

dys - I was glad to go off metformin. My stomach didn't like it all. I haven't had the 3 hour sugar test yet but I don't expect it to be normal. Last time I had it, my fasting sugar was too high. I am hoping too not to have to do insulin shots.

aims, my anatomy scan is July 15th! Sounds like it will be an exciting week :D . I have a follow-up appointment tomorrow to re-measure my cervical length. :?

Sari, I use to feel pretty strongly about having a vaginal child birth. But now, I really don't care! With the twins I'm going into it expecting to have a c-section. Plus I've been watching those birthing shows on Discovery Health and don't think I'll be missing the pain too much :D .

Yesterday was a good day and today I'm starting out feeling pretty good. (knock on wood)

hi Ladies, I hope everyone is doing well and will enjoy their 4th of July

aims327- metformin was awesome for me no stomach issues at all, and it helped me to loose over 40lbs. I've read that if you take it during pregnancy it reduces your chances by alot of having gestational diabetes. I wanted to start re-taking it but my ob said once you quit you cant restart while pregnant. So thats why I regret stopping.

July 14 and 15th will be soo exciting here! Are you both going to find out what you have? If you do i can't wait to hear. Mine will be scheduled sometime at the end of the July.

So I have a question cymplicty i know you mentioned you had cramps this past week. I'm experiencing cramps since yesterday not alot maybe like once every 2 hours and they come and go quickly and are mild. I'm just wondering if any one else has/had them? This is the first time I got them before i just got pain but not cramps so I'm a bit worried, but read everywhere that its normal. I'm not sure if I should call the doc.

Nope! Not finding out :) It's too exciting and so much fun the day of delivery :)

I've had pain associated with having a full bladder- it's almost like my stomache is sore from holding so much fluid. That usually goes away within minutes of urinating, though. I do have braxton-hicks, or what you'd call my uterus becoming 'tight', then releasing... but that too comes and goes, is never regular or anything like that.

dys24, I'm not sure what I experience, lol! At my last OB because my cervical length was shortening they asked if I'd had any contractions...as if I know what that feels like! I figured if I did, I would know? Anyway, the crampy feeling lasted about 2 days on and off. It was where if I shifted or was just sitting I couldn't feel it much. More so when walking or moving around. Like aims I also have a lot of ligament pains. My body just feels like it's running out of room in there and I feel EVERYTHING. Even a gas bubble has me hunched over for a few seconds  . I still feel pressure on my rectum and relief comes if I'm able to have a BM. This morning I had a good one finally (I know, TMI) but I felt SOOOO much better afterwards! :D :D

Nicole, I also feel pain when my bladder is full and get relief when I empty.

Nicole, my prescription prenatal vitamins has a stool softner in it as well. Not sure of the name. It just says Prenatal 19 on my bottle. I hadn't had an issue with constipation up until the last week or so. (well one other time when my pharmacy ran out of the vitamins and I went to over the counter...major constipation then!) Not sure why now. I did start eating my Activia yogurt again this week and I think that has been helping.
