I am having Beta on Friday, as planned. I decided to follow rules. YUK! Still POAS 2X a day and line gets darker and darker!!

Just a little note to say thanks so much to all of you who sent me such lovely words of encouragement. I simply don't know what I would do without you all. Vicky, Katie, Wishful, Prayin, Tanya, Johannanita, MikeandJess, Statpositive, CT Michele, AngieinHull, Wicked and Nicksgam - you've all said such kind things and I just wanted to let you know that it meant alot. Well yesterday was quite simply a total sh*tfest in our house because DH lost his job too. My day just got better and better!

kushka- first a bfn and now dh loses his job! Goodness...I am so sorry to hear all of this. Just know that things will get better, and you and dh are in my prayers.

katie- still waiting for af? DD is doing great, a bit fussy lately...maybe some teeth coming? She is over 10 months and still no sign of teeth. Yes, I do have a theme planned for the big party. I rented a local park pavillian and we are going to do a hawaiian Luau (sp?). It will be a lot of work, but what a great excuse for a big ol' bbq bash!

Daisy- sounds like good news is coming your way, and I will be able to add another bfp to the list!

sabi- That is a big first beta! Maybe multiples? What were your details so I can analyze...when was your ER, ET and beta date?

Julie nurse- you can give me any new info you have an I will update it for you.

stay positive- I think the rainbow was a good sign as well...I love rainbows!

I will check in again soon ladies, I have been so busy lately, and summer tutoring starts tomorrow...ack! It is going to get crazy in July!

Well, I just heard from my clinic. They are going to "coast" me for one more day, which means that my ER will now be on Friday most likely (instead of Thursday). I have about 15 follicles that are all growing and that look good; they are very encouraged. BUT, my estradiol level is running a bit high---today it was 5,300 up from 3,600 yesterday. So, they want to see if it goes down a bit between now and tomorrow (they have also nixed my Gonal-F and Menopur, which should help) in order to decrease the chances of getting OHSS. I have always tended to have higher estradiol numbers--just seems to be that way for me, so I've been afraid of getting OHSS. Hopefully though they are monitoring it and the numbers will be lower tomorrow, otherwise I'm gonna start worrying and I'll have to change my screen name from Stay Positive to Stay Calm........

They said that higher estradiol does not impact the number or the quality of the eggs, just that it makes them want to be aware of the possibility of OHSS and respond accordingly. Do any of you know what it means to have estradiol that runs higher and what the consequences might be?

UGH!! Get those little eggs out of me so that I can take a break from these meds and get my ovaries back to normal!!!

hey girls... i havent been on in so long. its nice to see a few familiar faces.

i read an article today and wanted to see if yall had any more input on the topic. Have yall heard of IVM (in vitro maturation)? it looks like they only medicate for 3 days then retrieve immature eggs and mature them in the lab. I was thinking since my egg quality isn't too great, maybe this would be a better route to take since my RE thinks the intense meds of IVF only worsen their condition. Any thoughts?
