Hello everyone! I just returned from my follow up visit after a blighted ovum and I start my next cycle in August. My meds will change a little from last time to help me respond a little better. I'm excited to be a part of this group and wish everyone the best of luck and lots of baby dust. Can't wait to hear (and share) wonderful news!

MIcro Ivf is for women

Women under 36
Normal Menstrual cycles
Normal Ovulation
NO male fertility issues

Basically the way the Dr explained it to me is it is for any women that you could get pregnant no matter what??
The procedure itself is identical to Standard IVF except you are on low dose of injectibles, and they only aim to retrieve 3-4 eggs vs normal IVF 15-20 eggs. The dr said that the 3-4 eggs they retrieve should be High quality eggs so should have no problems.

Hi everyone -
I hope you all will enjoy a 3 day weekend ( Sorry Cheekyone, the 4th of july weekend is a big holiday here ) I'm waiting to hear back from my RE since I never got AF - I know that I'm supposed to start on BCPs today so I'm really nervous that my missing AF might delay starting the july cycle. Anyway the nurse said RE may change my protocol ( but I have most of the meds from last month leftover due to being cancelled - $ 4800. worth to exact !! Does it ever end? Cross your fingers for me guys. We'll see what he says.

StatsGoddess - I feel for you : step- teens = stress / especially girls
I'm with you on no new clothes - I'm holding out for the maternity section too
and yes I think is totally common to gain weight after a BFN - I sure did.

Shelby - I hope everything goes to plan with you. You have such an upbeat attitude. Keep up the PMA! :D

Jamie - thanks for the good info. I have heard of that before, just called "low dose"

Fitzjr11 - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you ! :D

Cheekyone - Its funny how protocols are so different place to place, isnt it? Syneral being inhaled sounds awful - I dont mind the injections, but an inhalant would drive me nuts! Hang in there, honey
GROW LITTLE FOLLIES GROW!!! :D

HUGS & LOTS OF PMA!!!

Hello ladies!!!
Well I went in for my bw and u/s and they found another follie!!! Yay!!! So I have 7 and they are all measuring right. I'm really nervous and exited I don't know what to think I've never had so many!!! They said that I have to go back tomorrow for more bw and u/s and then I might have to trigger tomorrow or saturday.
It's really weird for me to move according to my protocol, on my previous cycles I had to change meds half way or stay on meds longer, so probably after 4 tries they found the protocol that fits me. Oh boy... Thank you all for your good wishes, they are really paying off!!!

Sorry I can't get to personals just now, but I will catch up with you a little later, I need to put DS to bed. But I couldn't wait to tell my cyber friends this good news!!!

To all of you Baby Dust!!!!

Hey ladies-

It's so exciting to meet all of you ladies.

Kayce- I'm so excited for you...reading to know that you are doing so good this go around is wonderful!!!

Katie99- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you

FritzJF- Don't worry if they move your cycle, it may be better for you to do a little healing after removal of your fibroid. So if they move it, think of it as a blessing and not a delay

Jamie- Welcome!!! Hope all goes well with you and your micro IVF. I've read articles about it but never read a post about anyone doing it. My clinic doesn't offer that yet.

Penny- It's great that you are so positive about starting this process. Please keep up the PMA because it can really help you through the protcol.

Katie G- When I moved to my home I was not stressed at all but not also not going through IVF :-) If you have friends and family that can help you throught the move, I say go for it. You are going to have your house packed before the transfer and just don't do any unpacking until you have some help or in September or later. Your boxes will always be there wating on you when you are ready:-)

AFM- Nothing much...still on BCP's. I'm going July 10 for my trial transfer. Does anyone else's clinics do trial transfers's? My RE does the trials because he want to know exactly how far to go when the real deal happens. After next Friday, I'm on my offical 1 month countdown to my FET. Oh...I also start my Lupron shots on July 12.

Kayce - congrats on the number of follies. That is great! Grow follies grow!

Tangela - at my clinic we do something called mock embryo transfer which i think is the same. Not painful at all - just feels like another u/s except for the bloating from the water or dye that they put in. When they did mine they found polyps so i had to go and get those removed but luckily they found it early enough so i could still continue with this cycle.

Just waiting for AF to come. Can't believe how much i am waiting for it to come. So weird. usually i do not want it to come. If everything goes well i start the stims on tues or wed.

Happy 4th everyone!

Babies - Doin the AF dance for you!

Tangela - I did a water u/s to check for fibroids and a trial transfer at the same appointment. It is standard at my clinic. It helps the doctor to know exactly what it takes to get through your cervix and that way your actual embryo transfer is smooth.

KayCe - Congrats on the follie count!! That is very good news indeed! I can't believe you are so close to your ER. I think you are the first for this group. Yes? Good luck and keep us posted!

Katie - I am keeping my fingers crossed that your cycle isn't delayed. That is soooo frustrating. I hope it is a go.

fitzjr11- I had a small fibroid removed right before my successful cycle. It isn't a big deal to have it removed and it really can improve your chances. I hope it doesn't delay you, but if it does, it is worth it.

shelbyrn- I am so sorry about your last cycle. That must have been really hard, but I am glad you are cycling again. Keep the PMA!!

I am home with a sick baby this weekend. DH is back to the fire station tomorrow and won't be home for a while. I really hope the baby is well enough to at least make an appearance at the family BBQ tomorrow. I start teaching two weeks of summer school on Monday and the baby should be going back to daycare. Wish us luck!

Have a great 4th!

Cheekyone- I think the ladies answered your question. My RE does the trial transfer just to make sure he knows exaclty where to go the day of my ET. I also had an ultrasound done a couple of weeks ago to check for fibroids, cysts or whatever could disturb the embryo not to implant. I think its great to have the trial or mock done so that it can go smooth on the day of the real thing.

I wish my RE was there to do the trial transfer when they did my ultrasound because this time was kinda uncomfortable :x . I just kept telling myself, only 2 minutes, only 2 minutes......

Geckogirl- Hope the baby is feeling better so the both of you can enjoy the great tasting BBQ today. Good luck to you with summer school. I really applaude teachers when they spend all year with students and are dedicated enough to spend some of their summer vacation back in the class room.

Babiesgalore- I know, we don't wait for months for AF to show up and this is the one time she wants to act up!! I'm sure she will arrive shortly!

Happy 4th of July!
Image

Hi Everyone! This pic was taken last night at a friend's house. This is a very over tired Ella in her cute little outfit. We were glad to get out and see everyone and enjoyed the fireworks. Ella loved the sparklers. And it turns out we are going to host a last minute picnic at our house tonight, since many people had no plans or no place to go...so the sausage and peppers are slow cooking as we speak! I hope everyone has a fun, and safe, holiday weekend!

tangela- my RE does mock transfers too, to measure the actual distance. But RE does all of those procedures. I also hate those kinds of things, but I also get through it by knowing it is only a couple of minutes and then it's done. This past time I didn't feel it at all, but the first time I had a trial transfer with my first ivf, it was way uncomfortable.

gecko- so sorry to hear you have sick baby. Good luck with going back to day care. Good luck with summer school, I already started my summer tutroing, and I just keep telling myself it is only for july and then I will have all of august to myself. I decided to do tutoring instead of summer school this year because it is way more money for less hours.

babiesgalore- I am right there with you waiting for af, so I shall do a special fourth of july af dance for us both!
Image

kayce- yay for 7 follies, that is great!

katie99- sorry to hear you may change protocols and have some leftover, very expensive meds. I know it sucks, but hopefully they will get you on something that works better for you.

cheeky- sorry the syranel spray is not pleasant, I am gald I have never had to do it.

afm- I took my last provera pill on wednesday night, and RE had said I should expect AF within 3-7 days after last pill, so just waiting on af so I can go for u/s and bw and start bcp's again. I hope I get af before I leave for the wedding on Thursday, I would hate to get it while I am away and mess everything up if I can't get to RE's for an appt.

Hi ladies -

Boy, there is so much waiting involved with IVF, isnt there? It seems like we are always waiting on something, lab results, AF, calls from RE, meds to start, or meds to finish, or answers to questions - that one usually doesnt happen, lol. Well after more waiting my RE finally said to go ahead and start BCPs even though AF never showed up ( That makes me nervous ) I worked up the nerve to ask Ghost and he thought my protocol was "unusual" now theres an unsettling word  My Re said dont worry, but hello, we are totally self- pay ( I mean how could you not worry? ) When they cancelled my june cycle my lining was 7mm, so if I never got AF isnt the lining still 7mm? I hope it doesnt matter. Anyone know about this? I have decided to just go with the RE's advice I mean he has the MD, right? So I am back on schedule as of now ( fingers crossed that it stays that way! )

Kayce - CONGRATS on 7 follies!! :D yes, there are so many highs & lows on this crazy roller coaster that its like a surprise when all goes well - ENJOY IT - sending you loads of babydust!!

Tangela - My RE did a "mock" transfer too - the worst was having to drink 32oz of water first, then you want to put what where? with a full bladder- So not fun!!

Cheekyone - how goes stimming? wishing you lots of follies!!!

Babies - Doing the AF dance for you!! Doesnt it seem weird to WANT it to show up ?

Geckogirl - thanks - I hope that the baby is feeling better now :D

Michele -Thanks - Could Ella GET any cuter? love love love her little outfit! So now I'm doing the AF dance for you ? - we must be taking turns or something!! Hope your BBQ was fun!!

Hugs & PMA to all !!

Hi everyone! I'm new here, and it's great to read through everyone's experiences and where you are all at right now. I started my follistim and menopur injections last Thursday and go in for my 1st u/s to check how this part's going. Had a lupron setback a couple of weeks ago. When I went in for my e2 after a week on lupron, a cyst had formed, and my estrogen was at a whopping 120!!!! One extra week on a doubled dose of lupron, and the cyst GREW (for heaven's sake!) but my estrogen had dropped to 44. Go figure! This is my 1st try on ivf, and I'm nervous as heck and excited.

P.S. How do you all have the info posted at then end of each post you make?
