ORAL PROGESTERONE BAD?

Post by Jeannie T »

I was reading another post and got the distinct impression that taking oral progesterone after embryo implantation was less than ideal.
Is this so?

My Czech doc has me taking 200 mg oral progesterone 3 times daily, along with 2 mg oral estradiol 3 times daily.

I've never heard that it was "bad" but I know many doctors think oral progesterone is not very effective. Hence the popularity of other routes of delivery, like injections, suppositories, and gels.

I also recently had tmt in Prag, as well as before in Austria and each time took progesterone orally (1-1-1) and vaginally (2-2-2).
At my Betas (3 negative and 1 positive), my progesterone was always right on target, even if the embryos didn't implant until this last time.

Good luck to you!
