A very long journey - to offer hope

Thank you so much for all the support.
Our precious son Sam Benjamin Bresh finally arrived on June 29th at 9.07pm.
The full story will follow but the short version is that my sister laboured for almost 24 hours to get fully dilated but he would not engage. Sam and Deborah then contracted an infection - bloods still not back to tell us what it was. In the end he had to come via emergency C-Section which my sister wanted to avoid more than anything else. However at 10 7 then there was no way that he was coming out the other way!
He had to stay in Neo Natal at the start as he was on drips and antibiotics. His heart was racing and he was so hot. So we all need to stay at the hospital until Sunday at the very earliest.
He is here. I am overwhelmed with love for him and what my sister has done.
He is an extraordinary boy. Our little family is complete. We are over the moon to be Sam's Mummy and Daddy.
Dreams really can come true.And you have helped me every step of the way.

Carolyn, I am so, so pleased for you! I am sorry that you had to see the horrors of the NICU but hopefully his stay will be a short one. Also sorry to hear that your sister needed a caesar but what an amazing gift she has given you. Treasure him, treasure her and congrat yourself on being so clever!

Thank you for all the messages of support & congratulations. You have been such a fab support to me throughout the last 4 years.
Look at my ticker!!!!!!!!!!!! We made it and we are a family.
Came out of hospital with Sam and my sister on Sunday after almost a week. My sister is doing really well in terms of her recovery both emotionally and physically. She truely has been amazing
Being at home with Sam and my husband is so lovely. We keep pinching ourselves and can barely believe that he is ours and that nobody can take him away.
We really did get the fairytale ending and for that I feel truely privilidged. The trauma of the birth is now fading for me as I guess it would do if I had been in my sisters shoes. All that matters is that she is doing well and we have Sam.
He is so scrummy. I could eat him. Everyone loves him and loves our story to get him. How do I post a picture???
