Just had positive test

I'm sorry. I don't know all the terms. dr said I will be 6 weeks on 07/18. How do you know how many babies you have? I go for my next time tues? I don't know what to ask? Help? Also, I had one m/c and I am a nervous wreck. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of carrying to term?

You should find out how many are in there when you go in for your first u/s. They will be able to see how many sacs are in there. Probably by your next u/s after this one they will be able to detect the heartbeat(s) too. As for miscarriages, everything I have heard from all my doctors is that as they are almost always caused by some kind of genetic flaw, there is nothing much that can be done out of the ordinary to prevent them. A lot easier said than done, but try to relax and enjoy the BFP until Tuesday. I know at my first appointment they gave me a lot of literature that answered questions I didn't even know I had yet. And I must have been just as freaked out, because even the nurse asked me if I was nervous. I probably looked like I was going to pass out!
