HCG shot and Beta Result

I am taking HCG shots(2000 i.u) every 3rd day since ET(ER on 25th and ET on 27th, HCG shots on 28th,1st,4th and 7th).My 1st beta is scheduled on 11th(16dpo). Will the HCG shots affect my beta? What is the minimum beta number I should expect, that confirms that I am pregnant.

yes,the hcg shots can affect your beta, though they usually schedule them far enough away from the time of the trigger not to, but, not being an expert i assume everyone is different as in how long it takes to get it out of your system.
im not sure about the minimum beta you should expect but my first one was only 18 then the next one was 56. so again, i think everyone is different. I am now 7 weeks and 2 days preg so try not to put too much thought into the numbers. good luck.

I had to do the same thing. I took 1,500 units every third day. My last shot was 6 days before my beta test. I was worried about the same thing and it did not affect it. Your doctor knows what they are doing and probably scheduled everything on time for you. I asked Ghost this question about a week ago and she said the doctor would know how to read the beta test. For example if I had a 5 it would probably be the HCG still in my system. If I had like a 200 then that would a positive.
I am sure they have a cut off and that is also why they have you come back after a few days to see if it is rising. I have heard good things about the hcg booster shots. I am going back tomorrow for my second beta I pray that it has doubled!

*Ert* - Good to find a person who is taking HCG booster shots like me. so i guess my RE will know what number to expect to rule out the effect from the shot..What was your 1st beta number? Good luck with your second beta tomorrow.
