Hi Everyone! This thread is totally taking off! Welcome to all the new posters!

Anissabug - Sounds like a solid protocol. I hope you get better results with this round.

dogzrule - Awesome follie count!!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed for a successful ET next week. As for frozen vs. fresh, our clinic had DH "bank" some frozen and then supply fresh on the day of retrieval. They did this so that the had some in reserve just in case. I don't think it makes a difference in how effective they fertilize. Good luck and keep us posted!

shelby - Your step boys sounds like they are just wonderful. I think it is awesome that you can include them in the making of their little sibling!

Katie and Babies - Glad AF cooperated and that thing are a go!

stats - It sounds like a great idea to delay your cycle until things calm down at home. This process is really stressful all by itself, you don't need more complicating your life. Best of luck to you and keep us posted.

As for me - just hanging out. Still on BCPs, I see my RE on Thursday for a baseline u/s and if all is well I will be starting lupron next Monday. I am really anxious to get this ball rolling. I only wish I had lost the 20 pounds I had promised myself I would before my August transfer. Perhaps I can get 5 off?!

Hi - Cheekyone - Good Luck with your scan. I have my fingers crossed for your "bumper crop" loads of follie dust!!
PMA = positive mental attitude
BTW = by the way
PIO = progesterone in oil
BCPs = birth control pills
POAS = pee on a stick ( home preg test, also called HPT)
PISA , i've never heard of that one, sorry
:!: In the General forum (its "sticky" so it stays up top) there is a list of abbreviations - I found them a life saver in the beginning!
Hope that helps! Wil post later, have go go run some errands. HUGS

Thanks for the comments ladies. I'm going to wait another month and do an August/Sept cycle. I'm just too stressed out right now to think about lupron in three weeks. I got some horrible headaches from that stuff the last time and am expecting the same this time.

Anyway, thanks again for listening to me vent. I hate that dealing with the kids is so hard. I'm praying for all of you and will continue on this thread to see how you are all doing (and probably to let you know if I have any sanity left!!!!)

Stats - i'm glad that u reached a decision and am sure u made the right call. Good luck with the kids and hang in there.

Cheeky - good luck with the scans. let us know how it goes! Grow follies grow

I'm in with all of u about the weight. my accupuncture lady told me to forget about trying to lose weight while on these meds. But she said that there will be time after the baby comes!

As for me, i started the gonal f and menopur last nite. It wasn't so bad. I go in for my first scan on thursday.

Good luck everyone.

Hi everyone!!! sorry I've been having some issues with internet!!! arghh!!! I just can't catch up with all the posts!!! I'm glad to see everyone is doing well.

Michele and Babies I see that the AF dance worked!!! Now lets hope she stays away for at least 10 months!! Good luck with stimming.

Shleby and Katie99 patience dust to you both. August is going to be here before you know it!!!

Tammy and anissabug Welcome!!! you are going to love it here!!! This ladies are the best support you are going to get!! Good luck!!!

statsgoddess I think you made a smart decision. You do not need more stress to add up to IVF!!! Just check in and let us know how you're doing!!!

geckogirl I'm with you and the other girls about the weight gain!!! its crazy!!! But with my DS I gained about 40 lbs and a good 15lbs were IVF.

dogzrule OMG 18!!! Wow I think I would have flipped if I ever saw that many on my U/S!!! Congratulations that is a greeeaaat number!!!

cheekyone Good luck on friday!!! hopefully you'll have a bunch of great looking follies!!! Grow follies!!!

AFM well, what can I say, things never work out the way you think they will. I had 7 really good looking follies ready for retrieval they were perfect but apparently they only had 4 eggs. BUMMER!!!! Still 4 I know, but I was hopping I was finally gonna have some frosties. Well, ER went well, I actually enjoy the anesthesia (weird I know!!) and the nice nap I can take all afternoon. Tomorrow I'll get the call to see how many embies we got and a tentative transfer day. I'll keep you posted!!!! Thank you all for the good wishes!!!

Hugs and baby dust to you all!!!!

KayCe, a question for you on the ER. What can I expect? I read somewhere that the pain was so horrible, but I'm hoping it is not as bad as this one person stated. I am used to extreme cramps due to my endo, but at least I could take motrin for that. I'll only be able to tylenol post-ER UGH!

Best of luck on your embies!!! :D

dogzrule - Just wanted to let you know that when I had my egg retrieval they got 18 eggs and I had no problems. They gave a prescription for pain pills, but I never got it filled and only had to take Tylenol once. The discomfort was no worse than the mildest AF cramps. So please don't stress over it. I've haven't heard of too many people having a problem. As a matter of fact, it was so much fun I'm going to do it again in August! LOL!!! You'll do great! :D

Kayce and Katie99: Thanks for the warm welcome.

Today is CD3 for me so I had my baseline ultrasound which was fine.
I started the Femara today and will take it for 5 days and will then
use gonal-f for 3 days. We just completed two Femara cycles. I did get three follicles with each cycle but they were not all mature. The gonal-f is supposed to help the follies grow. Hopefully, I will have three mature follicles this month. I hope this cycle is the one for me as this is
our last cycle.

Good luck to everyone!

Regards,
Tammy

Dogz I know what you mean, I'm another fellow endo girl!!! ER is nothing compared to that. I know some people don't do well with the anesthesia or they develop OHSS that can be very painful, but I've had 4 ERs so far and I've never had any mayor pain, just some mild cramping that will go away with some tylenol. So don't worry, I'm sure you'll do just fine!!!

Tammy good luck stimming!!! Sending you some follie dust!!!!
