Congrats Lyly!

Post by melmar »

Lyly I am so happy for you! Congratulations on your little Frankie-I am sure that he is absolutely beautiful! How are you feeling? Sounded like a tough delivery.

Marina-I can't believe that you are still going! Only one more week left! You must be so excited! I hope that you are feeling well and are resting in these last few days.

AFM-the story just goes on. I will go in for my C-section on Thursday (thank goodness) at 1:00. In the meantime the last two weeks have been HELL. It all started with a little cold I picked up from my son-no biggie-just sore throat, ears, stuffy head....the usual. Then I started to develop a rash-a nasty, itchy terrible rash that I later learned is callled PUPPP (I forget what it stands for exactly-but I will tell you I think they should call it the nastiest, most itchy, this sucks rash ever!). It covers my entire body except for the palms of my hands, soles of my feet and face. It happens in the third trimester of pregnancy and goes away after you give birth. There are no medications that work-only a couple of topical things that make it feel better for about a half an hour tops. SO picture me with a red rash all over, a cold and then four days ago my right eye swelled shut and was oozing green puss out of it. I had had it! I went to the hospital and begged them to take the babies out as I felt like my whole body was just shutting down...well it didin't work and they sent me home after a benadryl drip with some Ambien (which did nothing to help me sleep due to the rash).

Needless to say I am miserable and VERY sleep deprived. I went today for my last ultrasound and the babies read in at 7lbs 7 oz and 6 lbs 15 oz-I don't know how accurate that will be, but I guess we will find out on Thursday (only two sleeps away...I know I can make it through...at least I think I can...at least I will try without crying too much because of the lack of sleep, the hideous way I look and the red itchy rash).

Melissa,

Wow girl sorry to hear that you are going through all this it must be hard being pregnant and not feeling that well on your last moments of having your lil ones inside you. I bet you can't wait for this to be all over just because that sickness is attacking you wow hope that you are feeling better for the rash.

I am getting some kind of fungal rash in my legs it is some red spots which in 06 I went to the dermatologist and got some cream and went away, so now I have it again and since I don't have insurance I have to pay alot to go ssee a drematologist they are expensive so poor me I have to deal with this rash until it decides to go away.grrr

Hang in there you only have a few more days, make sure you share your delivery story and best of luck for you and those lil ones.

Marina,

One more week girl and then you will be meeting that lil baby girl, how nice and hope that you are feeling good.

Hang in there just a bit more and then you will be holding that blessing in your hands.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Lyly,

Congratulations on the new baby boy. I am glad he is out and a healthy lil one. Sometimes doesn't worry you alot and then it ends not being anything it is hard to trust them now days.
I am glad he is out and sounds like it was a fast labor for him being born at that time. I think you had a easy labor not like other girls having a hard tough time but yours sounds about right.

I know having the epidural can slow things I know pushing is on of the things you need to do or else you won't dilate fast. I have been pushing ever since I start in labor even though the doctors say not to I do it anyways and I get easy delivery.
I am glad it is over with and you are enjoying that lil one.

God bless him :)

Lisa,

I love visiting you site I enjoy seeing those lil ones and they always make my day with their cute smiles.
Wow they are growing so fast and they will be turning 1 in no time.

Lucky you that you are in summer vacation and will be with them the rest of the summer that is great. Enjoy it as much as you can.

Have a great day.

Love Lili

Marina- I did breastfeed the first few days but supplemented with bottles because he was getting yellow and I was worried about jaundice. I breastfed my dd and she got jaundice and had to stay in the hospital longer than me and needed bottles because the fluid helps clear the high levels of bilirubin. I didn't want the same thing to happen so I just supplemented as soon as I saw the yellow color. He seemed to prefer the bottle so I stopped breastfeeding. As long as he is happy and healthy I am fine with it. I wasn't planning on continuing to breastfeed when I went back to work in Sept so I wasn't so upset. How are you doing? When is your c-section again?

Melissa- I hope you and the babies are doing well and that nasty rash goes away quickly!

Ok Ronda, it was you that said you were already thinking about having another baby right after you had Cara right? Well, I can't believe that I am saying this but, I have already been thinking about having another baby! He is just so precious and I am so grateful to have him. DH couldn't believe I brought it up to him. He said you are so exhausted and you arevalready thinking about another one. lol. So I understand how you felt after you had Cara!

Lyly,

Well girl what are you thinking about?? I know babies are just a precious thing but hey girl you just delivered 2 weeks ago and thinking of anothing one this early wow you sure are lucky to have had a easy delivery not like other women who take a long time to deliver their babies.

But hey it's your decision so you will plan it right away or what are you thinking?

Good luck my dear, one question from where are you?

Marina,

Good luck and keep us posted.

lyly,

HA! you are as crazy as I am. See you thought I was nuts when I wanted another right after I had Cara. I am so glad that Frankie is doing well. Maybe we can be pg together!. What time-frame are you thinking? Didn't you use all your snow babies? So a fresh cycle again?

lili- My dd was a quick delivery too but it was just such a different situation. Even though I love her dearly, I had no interest in having another baby. Her pg was a bit of a suprise and I was young (23) and her father and I had just split up after 7 yrs of being together before I even found out I was pg. We did get back together until she was 3 and he wanted to have another baby right away but deep in my heart I knew things were not right between us. Now this dh and I are so much in love and I just feel such joy seeing what we created together and want Frankie to have someone to grow up with. My dd is already 11 yrs old and she pretty much grew up alone and I don't want him to have the same thing.
Of course we aren't planning on trying immediately but maybe when Frankie is about a year. I need to give my body a little rest first. To answer your question, I live in NY. Unless you were interested in family background, In which case I am a big mix. My mom is russian and polish and my dad is hungarian and argentinian.

Ronda- we did use all of our snow babies, Frankies batch was my last. I do not know that we will go straight to ivf this time around. My fertility doctor did not seem to be convinced it was necessary but I didn't want to waste time. I guess we will see what happens. So when are you planning on trying again. Cara is a bit ahead of Frankie, are you going to try soon?

Nicole, I am glad things are going well for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lyly,

Cara is 8 months old now. I am hoping to start FET after the first of the year. :D Rather excited and scared at the same time. If we use all the snow babies and don't get pg, we will not be doing anything else to try for a 3rd child.

Lyly,
Thanks for the background info :) For some reason I though you were hispanic.. But yeah that is a bit of a mix but nice :)

Well i think that a year will be good. Yes you need to have your body rest and heal back to it's normal and then you will be all ready to start trying again.

I will start trying again by next year to so maybe you and Ronda will be in the same group.. But I am thinking to get pregnant something later in the year which I would like a summer baby this time. So maybe somewhere starting in september.

Lili- You were not too far off on the hispanic thing. My father grew up in Argentina and his family did not speak any English while I was growing up. So my grandparents spoke to us in spanish only. My dh is also hispanic by the way. His mother was from Columbia and his dad from Argentina like mine! Where are you from?

Well it would be nice if we were all pg again together. I guess time will tell.

Babies have arrived!

Post by melmar »

Hi everybody!

I am so glad to hear that everyone is doing well. I am sorry that it took me so long to post-but here is my story:

We had Cate Joyce at 4:15 on July 9th and she weighed 6lbs 10 oz
Brady Matthew arrived shortly after at 4:16 and weighed 6lbs. 2 oz.

They took Cate right away after allowing us to get a picture with her after delivery. She had her operation to correct her duodenal atresia less than 24 hours after she was born. She is still in the hospital and probably will be for at least another week or two weeks, but she is getting better everyday. She is up to eating 20ml of formula and it is coming out the other end (she is pooing :D )

Brady is an amazing little guy who must know that his Mom is exhausted from the rash before he was born and he is sleeping like a champ. He sleeps from 6 to 8 hours a night and is up during the day.

AFM-the itchiness from my rash went away about three days after I had the twins. Now I am just waiting for all the bumps and marks to go away. I left the hospital with so much gas from the c-section I looked like I was still 8 months pregnant. It has started to go down, but I do not feel as though I am healing as quickly and well as I did three years ago with my son. They sent me home with no pain medication, so I have been taking Motrin twice a day to relieve some of the discomfort. I am also still bleeding clots which I don't remember with my first c-section. Oh well, I am sure that all this will pass and be but a fleeting memory as all pain associated with childbirth is :)

melissa,
Congratulations!!!! on the new twins. How exciting that they are now born and you all done with your pregnancy. Since youw ere having a hard on it is such a relief.

What a real champ I am so glad that the baby is sleeping well at night. That is great usually babies his age don't sleep for that long since they are eating ever like 3 hours it is great he is sleeping well.

I will pray for your lil girl and hope that she can go home very soon. I am glad that she is doing good eating and pooping is great.
I bet you are going to see her every day which must be hard with the baby.

Marina,

How are you doing? praying for you girl.

Lyly,
Yes I am from mexico. Have been here for almost 21 years ever since I was 6 years old only have been back to mexico once. I meet my dh here and love california as where I live.
How is the baby doing?

I see lil babies and I wish that I could have one. I really pray for a girl but if I only knew I was going to have a girl I would get pregnant right away..lol but we won't plan on getting pregnant until the end of next year as I want to get a summer baby..lol

Have a great day
