TO THOSE WITH TWINS OR MORE.....

Post by Neffi211 »

Hi-- I was just wondering what your betas were for those who are expecting twins or more....

I had a beta at 11dpo and it was 59 I have another tomorrow at 13dpo so we'll see what that is. According to basebeta.info.....these numbers are the average for triplets! We did transfer three embryos, but only one that was good quality. Just wondering what your numbers were...thanks

Hi LisaMaria72,

I'm also Lisa Maria and mum to 19 month old twin boys.
Just wanted to wish you loads of luck.

Being a twin mum is great. My two have brought me more pleasure than I could have ever wished for. They're hard work at times but always worth it and it's great they have each other.

Braxton Hicks?

Post by babyhope1 »

Ladies,

Is anyone having Braxton Hicks, what is that, what do they feel like...I had an embarassing incidence this weekend, I had a dream I was in labor and wet the bed! I woke up soaking wet and thought my water broke. So I went to the hospital and they started taking in data on my babies. They said I was indeed contracting and gave me a med to stop it then observed for a while. Now I know that my stomach hardens when I contract but its so early I can't feel the pain from it, just discomfort, I thought they were stretching and bracing. Should I expect this type of thing from here on out? I am 25 weeks now. They also tested for a protein apparently we release within 2 weeks of giving birth, I didn't have it so I feel safe for a little while.

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and 5 foot 2 inches tall. I was 120 lbs before two tiny babies started living inside my belly...anyway, I want to know when the average woman delivers twins. Please don't say 35 or 36 weeks, I can't stay this uncomfortable that long. They are just over 3 lbs each and growing like weeds.

Babyhope~ I totally understand you. I am 5'2" as well and was 110 lbs before being pg BUT I delivered at 34 weeks and my babies had to stay in the NICU 16 days all the while being poked and prodded, handled by tons of stangers with no privacy and the added risk of being in a hospital in general. I wished they would have been able to see 36 weeks in my belly instead of in a cold sterile room. I know exactly how you feel but just trust that you can do it! It will go by faster than you think and even if it doesn't, it will be what is best for them.
Goodluck~ take care!

Thanks Kholtan, You are right, I saw some scary things on Discovery Health/TLC/Cable this weekend on early babies. I need to keep them in as long as possible, the tubes scare me more then the rashy, ichy, stretchmarked belly. Its a small price to pay for their lifetime of health. Man, that hurts!! It is stretched to the max, any further and they wil bust straight out of me!!! Like Alien!!!

Anyway, I will hang tight knowing this is my last chance to rest for the next 20 years!!! YIIKES!! I am very excited however but scared, my 10 year career is over and that is major change enough. I suppose I have some anxieties about this but it is what I prayed for so I feel blessed at the same time.
