I need to catch up on post and don't have time right now.

just wanted to update everyone on my ER.

I had 5 eggs retrieved, 3 were mature and 2 fertilized. So hoping and praying that my 2 are good quality and want to grow. I am supposed to have a 5dt so ER would be on Wednesday but i guess that depends on how they are looking on monday.

Will post more tomorrow.

Debi - I will be thinking about you. Good luck @ Er.

Hi ladies, hope everyone is having a nice weekend x

KayCe - we'll have 1 embie transferred - if it reaches blastocyst or 2 embies if not The unit has changed their policy (typical when we have to pay now!). They've done things different this time because of DH's increased sperm count - they are doing both IVF and ICSI so we will find out tomorrow what the embro report is! I just hope it's good news. Will be interesting to hear what the IVF report is as we've always had ICSI! Getting a little nervous now! Roll on 9:30am tomorrow when we'll know what's happening!

Lucy1952 - it's sounding positive! Remember to let us all know the outcome. Good luck x

I'm still spotting a little bit. Had an unpleasat episode yesterday - I passed a biggish blood clot :( I got a bit upset, I'm worried now in case the embryo(s) won't be able to implant with me bleeding. Anyone else had this? DH said while they were doing ER there was quite a bit of blood. He seems to think it's because the follicles were a lot bigger this time. I'm still having stomach pains. Doesn't help it's the weekend and there's no-one to speak to in the unit! The nurse did say about some spotting and the some brownish discharge, but this was a dark blackish blood clot.

Getting nervous about the phone call tomorrow morning as well to hear what's been happening to our eggs over the weekend! Will let you know what the outcome is tomorrow.

x

Positive HPT!

Post by Lucy1952 »

I took another HPT this morning and it's positive! I am confident about the results I will get from the BT tomorrow.
My ET was on July 3rd and my HCG trigger was June 26th. I can't imagine there is still HCG in my system so this is even more exciting then Friday's positive HPT.
I'm so glad you ladies are here to read this. I got my DH up and he said "Good" and went back to sleep, lol. He has thought I am PG this entire time so to him it's no surprise but I needed to tell others and we have NOT discussed this with but two people.
Can't wait to find out for sure!

Hello ladies!! Well, I'm feeling a little down today. Yesterday I got a call from my best friend who got married last month and guess what?? She's pregnant. Of course they were not looking for a baby, it just happened, I am very happy for her, she's going to be a great mom, but I can't help feeling soooo sad for me. Why is it so hard for us??!!

Well, today I got another email from another friend who just told me she is 3 months along her pregnancy!! And on top of all these baby news I'm planning a baby shower for Thursday for another friend. So it just hit me!!!!

I'm not sure what we'll do if it doesn't work again...
I didn't tell anyone about this IVF since I just got tired if them feeling sorry for me... so you girls are my best support and the only ones who know how I'm feeling.

Well, I'm sorry, not in the best mood today but I just needed to vent!!! Thanks for listening. And here goes Daisy's Chant!!!! I repeat it at least a 100 times a day now!!! "Where you place your will, there you will achieve"

Baby Dust to all!!!!

KayCe - I know exactly how you're feeling. Out of mine and DH's group of friends there is only me and another friend (who's not married yet and isn't planning a family) who aren't pregnant. It never gets easy when a friend tells me they are pregnant, and I am pleased for them but I can't help but think I wish it was me. My best friend had been with her boyfriend for 6 WEEKS when she found out she was pregnant! That was the hardest to hear as she NEVER wanted children or to be married! She said she dreaded telling me! Some of my friends are more understanding that others. Some think they should feel guilty and I don't expect them to feel guilty just be more considerate around me. One friend in particular is difficult to be around - constantly letting everyone know she's pregnant! Suppose it's slight jealously in a way. But after 4 1/2 years of trying I feel I'm entitled to feel a little jealous. I had counselling after our 2nd and 3rd failed cycle and it really helped me. The counsellor was lovely, she reassured me that I shouldn't feel bad for not being over the moon for someone else.

I'm totally different with the ladies on here though - I'm truely happy when they get a BFP as I know what they've been through and it's so nice to hear it's worked for them - even if I don't know them personally!

It's so hard and all we ask for is a tiny bit of good luck!

Me and DH did almost spilt because of the pressure and the heartache we'd been through to become pregnant. I think the only thing that got us through it was that we love each other so much!

I think I'm feeling a bit down today, been a bit snappy at DH as well which makes me more upset as he hasn't done anything wrong! Suppose I'm just worrying about tomorrow's report on our eggs!

Lucy1952 - looks like early congrats is in order then! :D Well done x

Sunshine1.2 I'm so sorry for your results. My heart goes out to you x Be strong x

Hello you gorgeous gals! I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I actually floated in the lake today (I hope that is okay...now I worry about every move!). The weather was just too pretty to stay inside all day.

Chris - Great news!! Two is awesome! That's 100% more than I had! Try not to worry so much these 5 days. You will have plenty to worry about once you transfer...

Vicky - I hate that you are having such a rough experience. Be certain that you are telling your clinic everything. You can always freeze and transfer at another time if your body needs to calm down.

Lucy - A fellow POAS fan!! Congratulations on your BFP!! That is awesome!

Sunshine - I am so sorry to hear your news. My heart just breaks for you. If you decide to try again, we are here for you. Go do something fun and get your mind off of all this for a while.

KayCe - I know how hard it is with friends. When my younger sister got PG after 'not even trying' I thought I could die. Then, she showed up at Thanksgiving wearing a shirt over her 8 month belly saying, 'I can grow people.' I wanted to strangle her! I was crying the whole day, and pretty drunk by the time the remainder of our family arrived. Finally, my DH asked her to go change her shirt. She claimed she had no idea...

Here is a postive way you can spin your current state: Think PMA. How much FUN is it going to be to have friends to be pregnant with??? Just think that you will kids around near the same age. You need to go into this transfer with the confidence that this is your time. Don't let negative thoughts creep in. You will all get to share in this experience together. Be confident and remember your chant. Be convinced. I am so praying for you.

Okay, not to go too far off into the 'mental state' of things, but I know that KayCe has liked the mantra. I learned the relaxation technique from my acupuncturist and she gave me 'prayer beads' bracelet to use while I said it. I wear the bracelet constantly now and use it numerous times throughout the day to 'chill out' and focus PMA. I use it in the car, while watching TV, anytime. It's not for religious purposes, just relaxation. Anyway, if you are using the chant and want the beads as well (they help with concentration) below is a website that I found that sells them for $11.99. Just passing along...

http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Handmade- ... B001HKO60W

Vicky - Thanks for sharing your story with us. You guys have had a tough road. I truly hope you can relax and enjoy the rest of the process.

Let's all hope for easy Monday's tomorrow!!

Well, still all negative HPT's. Beta on Tuesday, not looking good. I am feeling pretty down lately. Sorry I can't be there for anyone right now. I miss everyone but the boards are just to depressing for me right now. Maybe I'll feel better in a few weeks. I'll still let everyone know about my beta.

Prayers to everyone!

Hello ladies, hope we've all had a lovely weekend x

mikeandjess - I'm so sorry you haven't got the result you wanted. Try and be strong, and you know us ladies are hear when you need us. Take care x

Debbie67 - good luck with your report. :)

Daisy - I'm feeling better today. Still having a few stomach cramps and feeling a little bruised but no more bleeding! Spoke to the nurse this morning and she said the blood clot it's from the ER on Friday. Feel reassured now! Hope you are well and looking after yourself x Your PMA is definitely rubbing off on me - I'm telling myself every morning that I will be pregnant! :D

Angeinhull - hope all goes well with your ET today. Good luck x

KayCe - I hope you're feeling a little better today x

Well my egg report is in......

17 eggs were retrived
10 for ICSI and 7 for IVF

All 7 IVF fertilised and are progressing well. 5 are all grade 3 or above! The embryologist said they are really looking good.

Out of 10 ICSI ones 8 were mature and 7 fertlised. Although only 3 are looking good and only 1 is grade 3.

They are aiming for blastocyst and it looks as though I'll be having ET on Wednesday! It seems it'll be an IVF egg instead of ICSI egg.

Me and DH are SO HAPPY and pleased! :D We've never had eggs for IVF. The embryologist said DH's sperm was well above normal range and every aspect of the sperm is good quality. Plus she said from his improved count she couldn't see no reason why we wouldn't be able to concieve naturally! I just can't stop smiling, almost crying with the news. I feel so positive and just think even if (but it will) it doesn't work the reassurance that we could concieve naturally is going to keep me going! DH is very proud of himself! lol

It's been very rewarding not drinking alcohol and healthy eating for the last 7 months!

Also, I've had a 6 month course of Clomid about 3 years ago - does anyone know if I'd be able to having another course?

Will keep you posted when I know more. Massive thank you for your support x

Take care ladies x x x

Vicky - Congrats on your awesome fert report. That must be nice knowing that your eggs fertilized better the normal way instead of with ICSI. After my ER, I also bleed a lot more then usual, I was getting kind of nervous and emailed the RE. He said that I was fine and then the bleeding stopped on Sat. That was a relief.

Debi
- Congrats on your 5 eggs. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for a great fert report.

Since we are not on the SIRM board I wanted to ask you some questions. Have you had ER at any other place? If so how was your ER service @ SIRM compared to the old clinic.

I have had 2 other ER's at another clinic and I guess they might have spoiled me. I love all the gals at SIRM and Dr. A but I found that the treatment after ER was not up to par to what I was used to. My last place they made you stay there for about an hour after ER to make sure you were OK. Gave me some crackers and juice, made me walk around, use the restroom. With my ER on Friday@ SIRM , I think a nurse came in once to ask how I was doing and then 30 min after I was out of ER they said "OK" you can go now. I was really surprised and still really out of it. I stood up (sorry if TMI) and had this total gush of blood. it was running down my leg and dripping on the floor. I am still out of it and there was no one around to really help. DH asked for some tissues and then some pads. I was all right after I finally got to the restroom and got to clean up. I was just really surprised that they didn't really seem concerned on how I was doing.

Daisy - Glad you had fun swimming in the lake, sounds really relaxing. Enjoy being pregnant.

Lucy - Good luck today with your Beta. Can't wait to hear your #.

Kayce -I think most of us know how hard it is when other get PG. For my last IVF, I also had a friend doing a cycle at the same time. This was her first IVF cycle. She ended up getting a BFP and of course I got a BFN. She is one of those that needs constant attention so I knew it would be really hard to be around her when she was PG. Plus we were going to have to go on a 1 week vacation together. I was devastated. Of course I was happy for them but ya know how it goes. She ended up having a blighted ovum which of course I was sorry for, but deep inside I was so glad I wouldn't have to deal with her being PG on my vacation. Is that really mean or what?

Michelle - Hope your weekend was good. Now I guess it is time to recoup from all the festivities.

Good Luck to all.
