Vicky - Congratulations. I'm hoping you will not need chlomid and you will get BFP this time. Great report.
Chris - that treatment sounds awful. I hope you are feeling ok now.

AFM, the hospital phoned this morning and we had 3 blasts from 11 embryos. I was a bit dissapointed but then realised I should just be grateful to have any! We had one transferred at 11am. So here goes the 2ww, yeah! Test on the 26th of July.
We spent the whole morning thinking about whether to freeze as the other 2 blasts were grade 2-3 (3 top). The one we transferred was a grade 3. Also how to pay for the next cycle. Then suddenly I just thought PMA!!!
Then at the hospital they said as we had had a NHS funded cycle we could get the other 2 frozen from that funding. So really good news.
Michele - hope you had a great weekend. I am missing you on here. I just can't keep up without your list! You do such a good job.

Hi Ladies! I am back...and have no time, since I have to go tutoring for a couple hours, but I read your posts quick and will read them again later and do some personals. I just wanted to say thanks for all the sweet comments about missing me. I wanted to check the boards all weekend, but I was sooooo busy with the wedding (which was awesome!) and a cranky cranky baby who did not adjust well to hotel life.

Hi ladies, just back from a family weekend away with 16 members of my fairly disfunctional family all in one house for 3 nights, so although the weekend went went on the whole, I'm pleased to be back home and have some peace and quiet!! I've been catching up with all your posts over the last 3-4 days, as always you've been a busy busy bunch!! Here goes...
lw918 - welcome, you've come to the right place. I felt just the same as you when I did my first cycle in March/April, and joining a thread got me through with a great support network of cyper buddies. How did your bloodwork go today?
Lucy1952 - welcome to you too. Did your beta today confirm your positive HPT's??
Rosario - so happy that your OB appointment went well. It sounds as if you're going to have a good support group of professionals looking after you and those precious triplets!
KayCe - honey, we've all been there feeling the lowest of the low struggling to get pregnant while it seems everyone around us gets pregnant in the blink of an eye. But our time will come too - we just have to believe. And on that subject - HURRAY, you're PUPO! Hope you still have your feet up and DH is taking care of you.
to_have_fun - good to hear about your ER on Friday. Did you get a good progress report on your two embryos today? Will transfer be Wednesday? I was pretty shocked to read your treatment after ER - I have only had ER once but at my clinic they give you a bed on a little ward of 6 for as long as you want it, and make sure you've had a cup of tea and a biscuit without being sick, and that you've had a wee before they will even think about letting you go.
vicky - amazing news, 17 eggs, 14 fertilising and a great sperm count! Sorry about the bleeding though, hope it has resolved itself now. I'm sure it isn't a big problem, just your body objecting to being prodded around while they got the eggs, but it's great that you got to speak to someone at the clinic to confirm that all is OK. Like you, my DH gave up alcohol through our first IVF cycle and ate much more healthily and I'm certain that it translated into much better sperm and is the reason that we got 5 out of our 6 eggs fertilised. So it's hard to do without a drop of alcohol for months on end, but soooo worth it!! How many will you transfer on Wednesday? Re the Clomid, I was told that you can't take it for more than 12 months in total (because studies have shown a slight increase in cancer in women taking it for any longer), but those 12 months don't have to be all at one time, so I wouldn't have thought you would be prevented from having another course (although that WON'T be relevant until after you've had DS or DD from this cycle, OK?).
angieinhull - wow, fab results, 11 top grade embryos. I can only dream of such things!! Hope your stomach pain subsided quickly over the weekend. Enjoy being PUPO with your precious cargo and make sure you take it easy!

wishfull - YIPPEE!! So excited for you and DH that you saw the heartbeat today!! Can you start relaxing slightly now and enjoy being pregnant?? When is your next scan/check?

Daisy - well done for getting an earlier scan, only one week to go! Sooo much better than you having to wait until August!

sunshine - likewise, big hugs to you. I remember how I felt when I got my BFN a few months ago. Nothing I can say will make it better right now, but it will get easier. I think it's a great idea to take a breather over the summer and come back refreshed and ready to move forward.
AFM, I had my baseline scan and bloodtest on Friday morning and everything looked good, so I started estrogen tablets on Saturday. I go back for another scan on Friday 24th to check my lining and if it all looks OK, my FET will be either Monday 27th or Tuesday 28th. Assuming that one or both of our frozen embryos thaw properly, I can't believe that in just about two weeks' time I'll be PUPO!!!

I had my first a test today and it was a 145! We have another on Wednesday and if all looks good another the following Wednesday. Our first u/s will be in August!

Wishful - YEY!!! you got to see the heartbeat. That must be the most amazing thing in the world after what you have been through. I am so happy for you. Congrats.
Hazel - You are almost there, starting estrogen and things move so quickly once you start taking drugs. I feel you pain with a house full of relatives. I love all my relatives but we all have big mouths so when we all get together it can get overwhelming and really loud.
AFM -At 3 days I have a 4cell grade 3 and a 6 cell grade 2. I am sort of OK with this, they should be 7 cells on day 3 but it is still early in the day. I didn't have ER till late in the afternoon so it is more like 2.5 days. At least this is what I am telling myself. My first ER I did a 3 day transfer so I never got to see if my embryos further developed. This time we are going to do a 5dt so at least I will be able to see if my embies just stop growing or if it might be an implantation issues. Wish me luck I am gonna need it for my embies.

It's definitely something I'll be mentioning IF it doesn't happen this time. The best news was hearing the embryologist say we could conceive naturally! Kind of made me and DH wanna try straight away lol

Hope you're feeling better now? try and relax as much as you can x

I know you keep up w/ everyone's dates...My ER is now tentatively scheduled for 07/20 w/ a 3 day transfer date of 7/23!
We went back to the dr. today for a day 6 scan. Everything is looking good and my follicles are growing nicely. I had one measuring at 10, two measuring at 8, one measuring at 7, and a couple at 6. My RE's don't look at the follies that are still under 6, but hopefully those will have grown some when I go back on Thursday!
The good news is that I'm responding as well as I did my first go around and am also in the same range for just about everything! I hope this continues and I get another BFP that doesn't end in a MC!!! Fingers crossed, lots of prayers, and positive energy!!!
I'm thinking about everyone who have recently had BFP's and hoping some of their good fortune comes my way. I'm also praying for all of you who have had not so good news in the recent days/weeks. Keep the faith ladies, we'll get there!

I was woke up with a drink in my face and some cheese crackers.. sat there with DH for a little while, then nurse pops in to say ok get dressed..dh helps me to get dressed, I barely remember getting out of the chair and into the car..LOL! I don't even remember the IV being takin out of my hand..
My report came back as 4 matured only 3 fertilized. So hoping those three hang in there until my 5 day transfer on Friday..
I will let ya's know more on Wed, 3 day.

Hello Ladies!!! Hope everybody had a great weekend. I'm trying to catch up again... you girls keep this board soo busy!!!! That's great!!!
Vicky, thank you is much for the PMA, people out of IVF can be so insensitive sometimes!!! Aaarrgggghhh... but, well I know I have to see the bright side of everything. I just hate feeling this way!!! I hope this doesn't mess up my chances of BFP!!!! I'm so happy with your report, great news about the ivf embryos!!! Way to go!!!! I hope you're still relaxing and letting DH take care of everything else!!!
Daisy OMG I can't believe what your sister did... I think I would have killed her!!! I know I have to cheer up... I love your charm. Honestly I repeat to myself at least a 100 times a day!!! I can't get enough PMA so last night I made myself my own bracelet!!! I had some round wooden beads and it really helped me this afternoon in the car!!!
Chris I'm so sorry about your ER experience, at my clinic they are very patient but they are still rushing you. I do get crackers and ginger ale but the do have about 14 patients every morning for ER so they need to keep things going. I'm sending you super embie growing dust!!!! I'm sure they are going to do just fine and your ET is gonna go smoothly!!! Keep the PMA girl and remember miracles do happen, I got mine and you'll get yours.!!!!

Michele welcome back!!! I'm glad to hear you had so much fun!!! DS doesn't do very well while sleeping anywhere other than his own crib. He is fine after a few days, but I never get enough rest!!! You can move me to the 2ww beta on the 20th.

Katie99 I was kind of upset when they didn't change my protocol this go around. But I always say you have to trust your RE, they'll try to do the best for you. I'm sure all the headaches are going to be worth it!!! I'm so happy your puppy is keeping your mind off of this at times!!!! GL
Carolyn I'm so happy you got to hear you little bean's heart beat!!! I think my heart was running as fast with excitement when I first heard DS's!!! Wishing you a super easy and healthy pregnancy!!! Congratulations!!!
Well, I'm not sure if I'm missing someone!!!! I just can't seem to ever catch up!!!
AFM I'm feeling ok. As I was telling Vicky I just hope this sadness doesn't hurt my chances. I've been so positive on my past 2ww (BFNs anyways) I'm not sure what's wrong this time. Maybe all the babies and big bellies around me or maybe the meds. I used to tell myself that 2ww was like vacation since I get to sleep late, not cook or do any house work, get pampered etc... And now I feel just empty. Well, don't listen to me!!! I know I'll get over it as soon as I get my BFP!!! LOL!!! And here goes my question.... TO POAS OR NOT TO POAS???? What do you think??
I've done both and all thought I was going to POAS no matter what, I'm having second thoughts. I'm just too afraid I'll get another BFN and then be so heartbroken again, so I'll just rather wait for the RE's office call. On the other hand I remember my first BFN (did not poas) RE called me at 8 pm himself with the bad news, they kept me waiting and waiting all day!!! I cried for almost a week I think. Maybe its really hard to get a BFN.
Ladies, you make this IVF thing so much easier and I can't thank you enough for listening to me!!!! I have no one else to "talk" about my feelings that it's great to have you all!!!! See?? now I feel sooo much better!!!!

Congrats on the BFP's and I am thinking of those BFN's.
I am headed out at 5:30 AM tomorrow for my ER, I am super excited. Can't wait to see what we get. My u/s on Sunday showed 32 follies on the right that were all good sized and 22 on the left that were not every big but still plenty of chances to get lots of eggs, I knew the right was more active cause of the pain, oh my. I am just nervous about fertilization, and having enough sperm, my husbands count is soooo low but we have 2 frozen samples and he will give a fresh so it should be fine. I Dr. called Sun night before we triggered and told me to reduce the HCg by half from 10,000 units to 5,000 units I don't know why, anyone??? Well I need to get to bed for my early early start tomorrow, thinking of you all -Kasey

KJGrant- just wanted to respond about your hcg being reduced from 10,000iu to 5,000iu.....the doc didn't want you to OHSS b/c you have so many follies!! I only triggered 5,000iu of hcg and they got 30 eggs at ER and doc was sure I was going to OHSS but they gave me Dostinex and I drank Powerade all day long for 2 weeks and thankfully did not OHSS...and I got BFP!! Good luck on your ER!
