Right not really sure where to start, so this might be a long one! I might be different from a few of you as I do actually have children. In 2004 i was sterilized when I had my last daughter as unfortunately my husband was suffering from severe mental health problems, and my doctor felt that I just wouldn't be able to cope with all the problems that I had coming and then to have another baby, so I agreed. Unfortunatey he tried to kill himself so many times and self harmed that he wasnt safe to stay in the house with us, so went into a mental hospital. After quite a while he was discharged, and I was left to care for him but the problems came back, and I couldn't take anymore and had my children to think of, it was affecting them badly, so we split up. We get on marvellous now. Now I have since met such a lovely caring man and have been with him for nearly three years, he has been very poorly, last November he had a kidney transplant but is in great health now thanks to his sister. For the past year and a half we have desperately wanted children but couldn't do anything about it as he was on dialysis, and I felt we needed him to be better before even going down that road. We are at that stage now where we want to move things on. After being through something like he did, it makes you appreciate life so much, and we so want to share this with our very own little baby. Ive have been told that I can have my tubes reversed it costs about £3,500 and there is no guarantee that it would be successful, so my doctor did advise me that going down the IVF route would be a good option. Now unfortunately i only work part time and my fella has only just returned to work so money is really tight. I have no idea if im entitled to get it on the NHS or even if you still get it on that anymore. Or if not how much does it cost in total from beginning til end. Any bit of information would really help me us out. And apologies for going on so much but needed to let everyone know why I had it done, and why I want my partners children.
I was hoping someone would have replied to your post earlier today. Judging by the way to wrote how much the tubal treatment cost I believe we are from different countries, I am from the US so I don't know if I will be much help to you. But let me just say that you have be through a very long journey in your life and you deserve to have a child with your new husband, a child is the most special thing a husband and wife share so of course you want that trust me we all understand that here. I can tell you that where I am from (Southern California) one round of IVF will run you around $15,000 for everything, $10,000 for the procedure and 3000-4000 for meds with some other added cost. But lots of offices offer programs for $20,000 that give you six IVFs and if you are not pregnant by the end you get full refund. I think that is the way many women go. IVF is a very costly procedure, but worth every penny. I was lucky enough to have won my treatment in a contest actually by the grace of god, and did get a BFP on the first try. I wish you lots of luck

I have no idea what IVF costs in Britain, nor what qualifies for NHS coverage.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
You seem to have been through so much already in your life, I really hope you have a baby somehow.
The NHS funding is different per PCT (primary care trust) and so where you live has a big affect on entitlement, the whole postcode lottery thing. However,I do believe that most PCT's only cover for people who do not already have children at all unfortunatley. The only way to really know is to talk to your PCT and specialists.
In my clinic a self funding cycle is around £4000 - £5000 depending on treatment and drugs needed. I believe if you go to a fully private clinic this costs more.
Good luck with whichever route you take.

Thank you so much for your replies, I am from England. I just have to keep my fingers crossed so much that a miracle will happen some how. I wish i could just afford to be able to pay for it.
Angeinhull is right that where you live can determine how many, if any, free IVF cycles you can have.
I live in Oxfordshire and I wasnt eligible as we already have a DS. However, if I had a new husband I would be eligible. You need to get referred to an IVF specialist to find out.
The cost can be reduced significantly if you are under 35 and donate some eggs at the same time. Maybe that will make it a little more feasible?
Good luck!
