KJGrant - Great job on all the follies! You are like donor material! CK is right though, you are a high risk for OHSS. Just follow directions, drink fluids with electrolytes and keep the clinic informed of how you feel afterwards. I am sure you will do great!! GL!! Let us know what numbers you end up with today!

KayCe- Love that you made your own bracelet. It is just something about holding something that helps keep you focused. You also need to focus on what it is going to be like to hold your new baby!! I understand how you feel though, we all have thoughts that enter our heads that we wish would just go away. Since I got BFP, I continue to have the 'miscarriage' word pop in my head a thousand times a day. When it happens, I just visualize pushing it out of my head and I try to replace with 'I am pregnant' thoughts. Just try your best for PMA, but forgive yourself when negativity comes in, and then push it out of the way. I am a POAS girl, but a lot of that had to do with I did not want word from my RE's assistant. I just didn't care for her.

I am so jealous of you guys that get pampered after ER and ET!! My clinic did none of that. You are in a room with three other women, just flimsy curtains between you. I just remember after ER waking up and nurse being there telling me to take my time getting dressed. No one, not even DH, was there to help me. Then she told me that they only got 6 follies, I freaked out crying. I left quickly. I am talking less than 5 minutes after waking up. Nothing to eat or drink, and DH met me at lobby door. Because I was crying and freaking out, they put me through the back door.

ET was pretty much the same. We go there, DH allowed this time, told us we only had one embie. Freaked out crying again. Put into transfer, with full bladder. Came out. Waited about 15 minutes with DH alone. Still crying - because only got one and because I really had to pee!! Waited about 15 minutes, then begged nurse to let me pee. Got dressed and left. No biscuits and no juice! I got robbed of the snacks!! WTH?

All is well that ends well though since I got BFP. However, probably woud not use this clinic again. Just not very warm and follow up is spotty.

I know that I need to move over to the 'Pregnant after treatment' forum but I just love it here with you guys!! I also am a little superstitious until I see heartbeat on the 21st. I have told myself that I will make the move then. Hope that's okay!!

Lots going on this week!! I am wishing everyone lots of luck and PMA!!

mikendjess My heart is breaking with your news. I know how you are feeling. Take as long as you need and please remember that a lot of ladies in this forum (including myself) can relate to what you are feeling right now, we've been there and now back on the game!! so it will pass, you'll be OK it's just going to take some time. Hugs to you both!!!

Daisy I'm glad you got your BFP and you won't need to go back for a looong time!!! Please don't leave us!!! We need all the PMA we can get and you sure are very positive!!!! Thanks for your message

Kasey I did have to worry about OHSS since I'm quite a poor responder, but I'm sure you are a huge candidate!! So just listen to your RE and trust your clinic. Good luck on ER!!! Keep us posted!!! Where do you go? I see you are in MA, I use RSC in lexington!!

ck121 congratulations on your BFP!!! I'm really happy for every ladie that get one on this forum!!! GL on your pregnancy!!

Well, I think today we are skipping DS gymnastics class, I feel really bad for him but in his class I have lo lift him and help him climb everywhere, I guess I should avoid all that lifting at least this week. We'll see..

PMA to all and thanks again for listening!!! I really needed to vent!!!

Hey you fab ladies :D Hope all is well x

Mikeandjess - I'm so so sorry about your result. No words will help at the moment, but try and stay strong x My heart goes out to you both x

KJGrant WOW good numbers for follies! Good luck with the rest of your treatment!

KayCe - I'm with you on to POAS or not to POAS! I've never done it, always waited till the day I've got to do the HPT so we don't have the dreaded wait for the phone call. I'm kind of thinking that everything has been so different this time, is it worth a try of POAS?! Will it make the whole 2ww feel shorter if I POAS sooner! But then there's the worry of getting BFN but does that make it easier until the test day because you kind of expect the result?! I just don't know. DH says not to, but he said it's how I feel and is leaving the decision to me! (thanks! ha) Plus it's a nice feeling to think i'm PUPO for 2 weeks! Also, how long would I have to wait until I could POAS - my transfer day will be tomorrow on a day 5 transfer?

I'm having positive thoughts that my 10 embies are still growing and developing ready for ET tomorrow! Roll on 9AM tomorrow to find out how they are doing!!

I think me and DH are going away in my parent's caravan next week to take our mind of things - well as best as we can! Not quite sure how I'll manage not checking in with you ladies for a few days! lol

Will check in tomorrow after ET x

Hello ladies

Well 1 grade 3 blastocyst has been transferred this morning! :D  It's an IVF egg this time as this 1 was the best of the bunch! The embryologist said it was well advanced grade 3 blastocyst and was a really good looking egg. She seemed really pleased with the outcome with all the embies. She said the next day or 2 are when it's ready to hatch (so to speak) and implant so my plan is to rest, rest and more rest for these next few days. Make sure this embie sticks! :D

We had 10 blastocyst embies for freezing! So pleased with the numbers.

Felt like we were in the unit for ages, the embryologist was lovely and could really talk! ha

So I am PUPO :D Got a really good feeling this time. Everything has been different with bigger and better results!

Test day is 29th July (Michele can you add this to the list when you get time)

After ET the nurse did a quick u/s and she said my ovaries were a little inflammed. She said to expect a bit of cramping which I've had since ER. To be expected really after what our bodies go through eh!

Good luck to those other 2wwer's! Sticky thoughts all around :D

Massive thank you for your all best wishess x

Vicky - congratulations. I have been thinking about you all day! 10 to freeze that is amazing. Good luck! OUr test date is 27th but going to test 26th so I don't know just before work! I will not POAS before that though

KayCe - I hope you are feeling better. We are here for you if you need to get anything off your chest or just have a rant.

Mikeandjess - so sorry to hear your result. My thoughts are with you.

KJGrant - Hope your ER went well today. Rest and take it easy. Are you taking anything to prevent OHSS?

Debbie - Do you have any news? Notlong til Friday?

AFM, sat here trying to be distracted. My mother and father in law came to visit today so some more hours passed by. We had some good news this morning. First we got the last cheque from our insurance for our flood claim. Second, but more important a letter from the hospital saying that they actually froxe 5 blasts not 2 although 3 were of borderline quality. Thats still 5 though and even better that if this cycle is not succesful (please please be succesful!) we will have FET funded on the NHS as some rules have just changed.

Hugs to everyone.

Things aren't going good with me. Today was day 5 for my embies and they are still "cleaved" Whatever that means. They aren't blast so we are going to check tomorrow. If they aren't blast tomorrow we are not doing the transfer. Which sucks but at least I won't have to go through the stress of the 2ww and get another BFN.

Sorry to be a downer. I will check back and post more later.

Good Luck to everyone.

to_have_fun08 - sorry to hear it's not running as smoothly as it should. I don't really want to comment on cleaved embryo's - not quite sure what it all means myself (even after 4 attempts!). Try and stay positive. Hope everything works out for you both x

I've been reading on some other forums especially the "dos & dont's" during the 2ww - it mentioned the usual stuff like no alcohol, strenous exercise etc... but it also mentioned stuff like no ice cream, hot baths, sex, and more importantly chocolate! And more certain foods/drinks etc..

Anyone got any thoughts on this? Is there specific dos and dont's for 2ww?

I know the nurses say to rest for the first few days but then to try and carry on as normal - bit easier said than done though eh! I'm on sick leave from work. I have an office job but usually have to carry heavy notes/boxes so from our very 1st go I took the time off work. I've got a few lunches with friends arranged, but you do feel so wary of over doing things during this 2ww! DH has been a star and cleaned the house (we'll see how long it lasts though - only been the 1st day ha!).

It looks like the ball is really rolling for some of you!
I'm so very sorry for those of you that have recieved negative results. It breaks my heart :(

As for me I'm just barely catching myself coming and going it feels like! Dr. Appointments every other day and they are very early in the morning, in a town an hour away that is an hour ahead of us! Lots of 4:30 a.m. wake up calls :)
I had an appointment today to check follies and they said that they were still pretty small. I wondered about that because I hadn't been feeling all of that pressure and bloating everyone was talking about! There is a little bit of pressure, but not much (YET!). The nurse said it looks like I probably have a LOT of small follies instead of a few Large ones. Anyway, we had been hoping that at friday' appointment everything was ready to go ahead with the ER on monday, but as it is looking like I may need to have a little bit of time and it will probably be next wednesday or later.
Other than that everything is going ok, my Follistem has been decreased and my menopur is remaining the same.
I thought it would be such a pain waiting, but I'm at the doctor so often I dont' really feel like I'm "waiting"!
