Got my quad screen results back (screens for down syndrome and spinal defects) and everything with the little ones is normal! No more testing needed. One less thing to worry about :D

Hey ladies!!
I haven't written in a while, I've been lazy LOL
But, I've been reading all your posts. I'm glad everyone is doing well and feeling good!
Yesterday was my anatomy scan...which I was sooo excited about! It ended up taking an hour and a half because the baby was facing down (like towards my spine) and had her legs crossed!! So, needless to say, I was going to stay in that darn room until it un-crossed it legs so I could see the sex. Finally, when the tech said she was done, the baby un-crossed its legs long enough for us to get the image I had been dying to see. IT'S A GIRL!! (just what I wanted!!)
She never did flip over so we could get a scan of her face; we saw plenty of her spine though. So next time I go I have to get a limited scan so they can get an image of the face. But, the tech said she was measuring perfect and was doing great!!! So I'm happy!!!
On the other hand, my Dr did say I had placenta previa, which I know some of you also have. I'm not too worried; she said it can go away so for right now I'm just going to not think about it. I’m being to wonder though if IVF doesn’t increase your chances of placenta previa?? Seems like its pretty common among us IVF gals.
Well, I'm going shopping for pink baby clothes!!
Take care everyone!!!

Congrats on your girl Kellie!! You're right not to worry about the previa. It does seem to be common. I was told my baby boy's placenta was on the verge. Speaking of which I think I've finally started to feel him :D . Problem is he's extremely low and so I'm feeling him right on my sore cervix!! Right now it feels like little zaps and I only feel it a few times a day. I'm sure it will intensify soon :?

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!!!

Yay Cyn and Kellie!!!!! It's such a reliever knowing they're ok in there. I don't have PP, but I've heard about it and as far as I know, it's is a minor complication, and just like you said, it can correct itself. My little babe is rockin' and rollin' every once in awhile, so when it's quiet in there I get nervous.......... then about that time, I get a kick, almost like, "Hey mom, stop worrying!"

I have my next OB appt on Thursday at 4, so I'll be sure to update you all on stuff Friday AM. I'm kinda wondering what I'm weighing in at!

Hello:

I am happy to see the silence in the threat, that means everything is fabulous. I have an anatomy scan on thursday, I am so excited to know the sex of my baby, yesterday my ob/gyn did an u/s and baby is growing up and dancing around in my belly. He or She is 11.8cm and 9oz. The umbilical cord was between the legs, so we couldn't see the sex. Everytime I went to an u/s, I close my eyes to hear the hb, its like music, so relaxing, I am so in love with my baby.

I have gain 20lb  since I started the treatment, unbelievable. I was in shock, but I have to consider, not all the weight is from being preggo, its from all the meds and hormones of the treatment. Last month I gain 5lb, 5lb in 4 weeks is good, don't you think?

There is something bothering me, the AH1N1 virus. Since last week there is 7 dead and hundreds of sick people in PR. I am worried, even though I am taking all the precautions there is, but there are irresponsible people who knowing they are sick, are walking around. Pregnant women are at risk, but there is no preventive treatment. Here 2 pregnant women has died, one of the babies is in intensive unit in an incubator. Am I overreacting?

Sorry for the long post, thanks for hearing (reading).

Have a beautiful day!!!

Its a Girl

Post by Tara2009 »

Dear ladies,

I had my anatomy scan today and everything looked perfect. DH and I were so excited to know that we are having a baby girl :-) She was so curled up inside so we had to wait a little for her to stretch!!

Even the risk for downs syndrome went low after this scan. I am so relieved.

Now starts the fun of choosing names!!

Sari: good luck with your anatomy scan on Thursday.

Hope all others are doing just fine.

Thara.

hi Ladies, I didnt post for sometime been very busy

cymplicty- how are you doing? are you all recovered from the procedure? I hope everything is going well for you. Congrats on b/g thats awesome!!!!!!

kutekellie99- Congrats on the Girl!!!

Sari- Congrats on the girl too! So sorry about the virus scare, we had it here too but it seemed to quiet down. I know it must be very scary but all you can do is take all the precautions. I haven't gained any weight yet as a matter of fact I gained 10 lbs from IVF then lost it all during the 4.5 months of pregnancy so I'm actually down -1lb from where i started. But the baby is growing well so I'm not worried.

Tara2009- congrats!!! another GIRL!!! wow this thread is all girls so far (except for cymplicity's twins :) ) I'm glad everything is well with the baby.

AFM I went in for an u/s last week because i had strong pains but u/s showed closed and long cervix and the placenta look good, so everything is fine baby crossed its legs for 25min and wouldn't open so no way to tell the sex

I'm going in for my big scan in 2 weeks so hopefully the baby will show us then.

ok g2g take care ladies!!!!

Sari~ just do the best that you can, given your circumstances.... my heart goes out to you and your little one :) I know I'd be carrying hand sanitizer around and wearing a mask all the time! I do not think you are over reacting in the slightest.

Hey ladies hope everyone is doing great this week!! I've been doing great and my baby girl is doing great too! I've been shopping for pink things and trying to find a good name for her, names have been so hard for me!! Any suggestions are welcome!

Sari - I know the feeling, we didn't find out our's was a girl until the end of the sonogram, she had her legs crossed! It's so frustrating when you want to know and can't! I'm sure you'll find out next time! I'm glad the baby is looking great! Also, don't feel bad about the weight you have gained, I'm in the same boat! I gained 14 pounds from the IVF drugs and another 10 so far in the pregnancy. It's all worth it though!!

Tara2009 - We're having a baby girl too! Congrats!

dys24 - My baby had her legs crossed too!

Hey ladies:

Everything is so quite here, so I hope everything is fine with everyone.

I am very happy. I went to my anatomy scan app last thursday, and everything look perfect. I am having a BOY!!! :D . Baby was moving and dancing, I think he was as happy as I am. I though I wanted a girl but, when the Dr told me "Its a boy" I started crying and smiling at the same time, and felt soo happy. My husband couldn't stop smiling because he wanted a boy. I am feeling the baby kicking, am sure about it, because during the scan I saw him moving his feet and feel it, so now I am sure what I am feeling is his feets.

So, my friends, please, give me some ideas about boys names.

Hugs,

Sari

It is quiet on here, and I think that bodes well for all of us! :)
Mine is now a full fledges soccer/football player! Wow, sometimes it's just amazing, it MUST be a boy, I can't imagine a girl being able to kick so hard!

Sari, congrats on the boy!!! Now the real planning begins :D

Nicole & Amy, guess where I'm heading to in the morning....Ft. Wayne, IN!! It's a last minute trip because we're going up for DH's grandfather's funeral :(. I tried clearing it with my Ob to go but she wouldn't give me a straight answer. Says I'm floating somewhere in the middle since my condition isn't serious enough to keep me in bed in the house 24/7 but I am high risk so they wouldn't tell me whether to go or not....Thanks a lot doc!! So I'm going to go. We are driving and it's an 11 hr drive :? . I figure reclining in the seat can't be much different than reclining on my couch. I was given a handicapped parking permit too

I haven't been feeling too much movement still. What I thought was movement I think is actually braxton hicks contractions. I was feeling them below my belly button. Now they are always on my right side in the same spot. Oh well, hopefully I'll start to feel more in the coming weeks.

Cynthia: so sorry to hear about the reason behind the trip! Be careful and my suggestion would be to go to Dupont Hospital and ask for Dr. Williams from Women's Health Advantage, should something go wrong- but I seriously doubt it will. You will be in my thoughts and prayers girl, as well as those bambinos! I think things just must be too tight in there for them to bump and poke around a lot yet!! :) Be careful what you wish for, b/c now I swear this one is playing kickball with my inards :)
