Dogzrule- Are you prone to headaches normally? You mentioned about getting bad headaches with Lupron! I am so nervous about that. I get headaches all the time and take Excederin Migraine although the past month I have cut back to Aleve but my Dr. says I cant have that either. I can only take Tylenol Extra Strength. I am so scared, I get bad headaches if I dont take something GOOD for them! That is the one thing I am nervous about, forget the needles and the bloodwork (although I am not excited for the BW :D )

Faith9455- You start the day after me. I am so excited to get this ball in motion. It has taken my husband and I a year just to get to this point so we are excited. This is your first IVF?

Beth84- I havent even taken ONE Lupron shot yet and I am wondering whether I will POAS. I have been thinking about the 2WW for a long time and wonder how we ever get through it! I know how I am, when it is Wed and I leave for vacation on Sat I go crazy! So I will I am sure be back and forth about it just like you! Hang in there it is almost over!

I have a good feeling about this board and that we are going to have A LOT of BFP's on their way!

OK! Let's see if I can get caught up here ladies!!

Stats I bet you're relieved. That age, espeically that age girls, are not easy to deal with and it doesn't sound like they were very respectful of you. I think you definatly made the right decision waiting until they were gone to get things going with your cycle!

Babies I'm so excited for you and your awesome embies!! I agree with you, Triplets is a big risk.

Faith OH I remember that box!!!! I took pictures on my phone and sent them to my mother and bestfriend! They both said if those were all hormones maybe they would stay clear until the box was empty

Beth So glad you ended up with snow babies!!!! Good luck!

Katie I'm glad your husband is getting ready to have a break from a hectic schedule. My husband goes through parts of each year working what seems like all day eevry single day! He also doesn't get paid for time off of work and so on top of paying out of pocket for the entire IVF process, we loose on his paycheck for every appointment he misses work for. Therefore, he has made it to one saturday appointment, yesterday's ER, and is coming to the transfer, Only because he has to sign consents!

I've got to go back and read some more to get caught up!

CT Glad things are finally moving along for you!!!

Sunny You go girl!!! Ask away!!

Johanninta AF dance coming your way!

Penny Welcome!

ALL YOU 2WW'ers! Keep the PMA coming! Sending sticky thoughts your way!

AFM : The dr's office called today with our fertilization report! ELEVEN is our number! I would have fallen over if I wasn't already laying on the couch! I realize not all of them will grow properly, etc, but I'm just really praying that with that many options we'll have a couple of perfect ones on Monday.

I don't want to go into detail of my ER because I don't want to scare anyone haha! I think I did a really good job of working myself up over it. Since my ovaries were sooooooo swollen (even the dr said "I really blew you up didn't I?!") It was a bit more uncomfortable. I didn't think I'd need meds, but when I got home I was hurting so I took some of the vicodin last night and this morning. Now I'm lounging, watching "A baby story" and drinking my orange and cream shake! I don't know if everyone else's dr requires 24 hours of bedrest in a reclining position? That was really difficult way to sleep last night!

QUESTION: I'm having a 5 day transfer monday. How many days later will the Beta be checked?

lw - ours does BETA 2 weeks from the retrieval date. So for a 5-day transfer, it's 9 days later. :D Congrats on your 11 fertilized little ones! Keep us posted!

stats - I am SO glad that stress is gone for you. Glad you're back and ready to go!

Penny - just to prepare you, it sounds like you will get the lupron migraines. BUT my doctor said at that point I could take excedrin migraine (thank GOD because like you, nothing else cuts it for me when I get a headache!). I wasn't restricted to tylenol until later in the process. Just remember, if you do get them, they will go away after the 1st couple of days. I didn't get them anymore after that!

Miyaya - I would keep calling until I got an answer. I can be very annoying that way.

Penny and Faith: Can I be your IVF buddy? I am beginning Lupron on July 27th. Just came from my RE's office and got the calendar:
Lupron 10u. every night beginning 7/27; Bravelle and Menopur start on 8/7 (3 viles of each daily - that is 3 shots a day  ). ER 8/17 or 18..my RE would like to transfer 3 because of my age, (I never thought of 39 as being old until we tried to have a baby) :o This is my first IVF, so any thoughts or advice from the experienced ones is greatly appreciated.

Hi Ladies-

Tangela - Yah! That is awesome news. U're doing an FET, right? For mine i had to do estrogen shots along with the PIO shots. Was so painful as both were IM shots. Good luck on the scan. Will send u lots of positive vibes.

Iamhopeful- Of course you can be our cycle buddy. It is my first cycle too so we are in this together. :D Glad you found us!

Dogz-- Thanks for the heads up on the headaches! I will brace myself and my DH! At least within a few days they will go away! At least I will pray they do!

I see a lot of you have your schedule to the date as far as ER and ET from the beginning. I dont have those dates. I go for BW on Sunday before I start the Lupron do you think maybe they will give it to me then?

Penny - they gave me a tentative calendar of everything the week I started the BCPs. If they don't give you one Sunday, ask for one. I can tell you that if everything goes according to plan, you can plan to start your stims about a week-and-a-half after you start your lupron. Stims last about 10-13 days, then you will trigger, and 36 hours later you will have your ER. Your ET will then be 3 or 5 days after that.

In my case, I was on BCP for a week and-a-half, with the last 4 days overlapping with the Lupron. One week after starting the Lupron, I went in for my baseline sono/e2 (on a Wednesday), and there was a problem. A large cyst had formed on my left ovary, and instead of my estrogen dropping under 70, it had shot to 120! I was supposed to start my stims that Saturday but could not because I was not suppressed. My doctor doubled my lupron to 20 and kept me on that an additional week. I went in the following Wednesday, and the cyst had GROWN ( I was SO sure that was the end of the cycle and was devastated), but when my bw came back, my estrogen had dropped to 44 wootwoot!!!! He had me start stims the very next day, so my setback was only 5 days. I started stimming July 2, triggered July 13, had my ER July 15 and ET July 20. Hope that gives you a better idea! :D

I'm so confused! When we got the call from the RE the day after transfer, he said we had 1 embie to freeze. But I just received the paperwork, and it says TWO were frozen! I hope it's two. That would be so awesome! Of course, I called the lab to see what the real deal is, and no one was available to take my call. Grrrr. Hopefully I hear back soon!

Hey everyone! Geez you guys are busy tippity typers....

dogz- I hope it is 2 for you...that would be a pleasant suprise! I read you are not going to POAS...good for you, I admire people who can hold out, I am an addict and have 20 strips waiting for me for when I ever get my transfer.

penny- I started my lupron yesterday and the headaches are already starting, they really do stink. I would ask for your schedule next time you guy.

tangela- awesome news...I will have to move you to the "almost there" section for FET's on the list. I can;t wait to get back to that spot on the list. Last time I was there for a day and they canceled me.

lw- ha...a baby story...that show was on in my house for almost a year straight, from the beginning of my ivf to the birth of my baby. I have been starting to watch again, but I am trying to stay away, and not get my hopes up just yet. 11 fertilized is awesome! Grow embies grow!

stats- so glad the girls are home and you can be stress free. I saw someone started a september buddy thread, but we would love for you to stick with us too...I have been with you for so long now...we have to get through this together! With how many times I have been delayed, I wouldn't be surprised if I have to move to september eventually too.

babies- so glad to hear those four embies are thriving and going strong. I am doing an FET this time, so no stims for me this time...woohoo...if I can ever get past the stupid supression check!

katie- I am doing well, thanks for asking. My schedule is pretty full at the moment, but next week is my last week for summer tutoring for one client, and the last week for ella's swim lessons, so I should get some relief. The party planning is going well, I already sent out my virtual facebook invites, paper invites will go out this weekend, and when we were at the mall today, children's place had all of their summer hawaiian clothes on clearance, so I got her a cute outfit for under her hula skirt. I put her in her hula skirt last night to try and take a pic for the invitations, but all she wanted to do was eat the skirt and flowers.

I know I am missing a bunch of you...I am sending you all lots of dust, and will try to catch you next time. For now, almost time for swim lessons, I really do not feel like getting in the pool tonight, but grandma is coming to watch, so I can't skip it. I hope everyone is well.

All righty then, I got the answers! They DID end up freezing 2! Turns out that when the RE called me in the morning, that 2nd one was graded a 2CC, and they won't freeze anything lower than a B grade. Later that day, when they went to do the ACTUAL freeze, that 2nd little trooper had upped itself to a 2BB-!!! Go embie! You fighter! She also gave me the grade of the two they transferred: the super one was a 4AB, and the 2nd was a 3AB-. The 1st little frozen one is a 4BB. YAY for information!

Penny- I get migraines regularly, usually hormonal right after my period. But I didn't have any on the lupron or stims. My doc said it was okay to take my migrane meds (Imitrex) anytime up to transfer if I needed to.

Iamhopeful - Welcome! I know 3 shots a day seem really daunting, but you'll soon be a pro!

lw - 11 fertilized - WOW! You're a star! I bet Monday can't come soon enough, but at least you'll be all healed up from your ER. My first ER was kind of tough, but I think it's a little funny. I was having my seasonal allergies, but couldn't take my meds that morning. So I guess I kept coughing (under sedation) throughout the procedure. My RE said (and I quote), "it was like skeet shooting."

dogz - I hope you did get two for the freezer! (Just saw your newest post - go little trooper!)

Faith - hooray for your big box of meds - who knew we'd ever be so excited to get a big box of needles.

Gi - my brother-in-law is from Kerry, and my sister always raves about it after their visits - they're thinking of moving there, and then I'd get to visit!

Babies - I am so excited about your super-embryos! And now I'm confused about whether I want to POAS too. darn.

tangela - so excited that your wait is almost over.

Everyone else who is waiting - I know how torturous it is, but I'm so glad you're hanging out here already. We can all use the group PMA.

Anyway, yeah, a move during a cycle is pretty dumb, but I didn't have much of a choice. Our IVF lab closes for the month of August, and I knew I couldn't do a fresh cycle during the school year, so this was our last chance for a while. As it is, it hasn't been too bad. The tricky part is that a bunch of people are helping us with the furniture move tomorrow (including my father-in-law), and I can't tell them why I can't lift things. I believe I will be faking a back injury. :)

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement.
So happy for you dogz!!

BETH: I wasn't put completely out, but apparently I kept holding my breath. I just remember the nurse saying to me several times "Honey, you REALLY need to keep breathing!"
