Hi everyone

I haven't posted for a while and not sure if you all remember my story but here's a quick recap. This was our 3rd ivf and we ended up with one grade 2 embryo. Had the following beta results:

14dpo 19
18dpo 45
22dpo 193 :?:
27dpo 1611 :!:

Initially thought that was chemical then possibly eptopic. Went for a scan yesterday and saw gestational sac, yolk sac and the radiologist thinks he saw the fetal pole. measuring a little small at 5w2d when should be 6w. Another bloodtest today so we are hanging in there by the tiniest thread.

wicked- sounds like you have a fighter in there! I know you are being cautious at the moment, but I am so happy to hear your news. Whne you first posted your numbers and they told you not pregnant, or chemical, I was skeptical, because I had low numbers too, my first ivf I was only a 44 at 15dpo. I do hope it works out for you...have you been using progesterone all this time?

Sprouthaus---Congratulations!!!! Third time is a charm :)

hopeful~n~09---Yeah you have a positive HPT and beta. Wishing you a high second beta.

Michelle ---Glad to hear you are cycling again. Hoping your estrogen stays under control, PMA.

Wicked---I am praying for your little bean. I wonder if we will ever be able to relax and enjoy our pregnancies. I thought once I saw the heart beat it would put my mind at ease. I think I really won’t truly believe I am going to be a mom until the baby is in my arms.

AFM---Pretty much the same as last time, super tired. Also I have to go in tomorrow for a 3hr glucose screen. I failed the 1hr test by a hair. Hope I don’t have gestational diabetes.

deft- I was wondering about rosario too, she is on the feb moms to be thread, but she hasn't posted in a while, hope she's ok

nicksgam- how come you had the glucose screen so early? I didn't do mine until 28 weeks if I remember correctly. I hope the 3 hour goes well. Also, just a note, even after the baby is in your arms, there is still stuff to worry about. I have concluded that I will worry about her for the rest of my life...but it is the best feeling in the world!

Michele---My OB tests anyone over 35. I heard it is not uncommon to fail the 1hr test. The cut off is 140 and I was 140. When I looked it up on the internet the cut off is 180, I guess my OB is overly cautious.

Ange - hope you're ok with your stomach cramps. On a positive note my friend is pregnant and she said she felt her stomach felt like she'd done loads of sit-ups! Not quite sure what the breathlessness could mean though. I bet you are very tempted to POAS!! I am, it's driving me mad now - I cried all day on Sunday, and just started crying last night as well. I'm getting the odd stomach cramps but they've settled down now and my boobs aren't hurting like they were last week, and I'm losing quite a bit of those pesseries so I'm thinking it hasn't worked! I know i should stay positive but I can't lately. I don't think I'll be able to last until Wed to do the HPT, I think I might do one on Monday and then it'll prepare me for Wednesday!!

Congrats to those new BFP's :D

To those who achieved a BFP - did you feel any different in the 2ww? I know I shouldn't compare symptoms or analysis every symptom but we all know it's hard not to! I was feeling so positive at the beginning but as the days are passing it's slowly going and I'm getting more negative! I just want it so much that I don't know if I can handle another BFN. According to DH I'm being a nag because I'm asking him not to carry on drinking until we know the result. I was so proud that his sperm count had increased so much that I'm scared if he drinks it'll decrease again and we won't be able to conceive naturally! Am I being unreasonable asking him not to drink until we know the outcome??

Sorry to moan - seems like I'm the only one who has on this thread!

Vicky - I know what you mean about not feeling positive. I have started to think that it will not have worked but really trying to stay calm until I know. I feel a bit better today so was even worried about that! I just found out that someone in my office has swine flu so am not sure what to do on monday if it is a BFP. No, I don't think you are being unreasonable asking for support with what we go through!. My mum always tells me though not to underestimate the impact on men. Feel free to moan, its good to get it out!

I have also been worrying about Rosario. I really hope we hear something positive from her as her last post was worrying.

Wicked - Congrats on the BFP!

I have had friends round this week with their 9 week old baby and then my sister-in-law with her 11 month old. I thought this was going to be hard but I just love them both! My niece is soooo cute!

2 days to go...... I think I will be mad by then!

Good morning ladies! Just a quick post from me, we are off to the clinic for my scan a little later today then heading straight up to my parents for the weekend (they don't have internet) so I won't be able to post again until Sunday evening. Hopefully I'll be able to post then that my scan went well and we're on course for FET on Monday or Tuesday (fingers crossed!).

sprouthaus - hello, it's so lovely to hear from you again. I can't get over your story, how inspiring for us all! CONGRATULATIONS! How far along are you, when is your next beta/scan?

Daisy - so happy to hear that your scan went well. I can't imagine how exciting it must be to hear the heartbeat - amazing!

vicky - sorry to hear the 2ww is getting you down. I also got quite depressed towards the end of my 2ww, I think it's quite normal, it's just such an anxious time no matter how hard you try and relax. And no, I don't think you are being unreasonable wanting DH to abstain from alcohol still - as I said in my last post, you and I are in similar situations and I really want my DH not to drink, partly because of sperm quality in case we end up doing a fresh cycle straight away, but partly because it's really hard to know he's enjoying a drink when I can't! Thankfully at the moment he seems to be restricting himself to one or two drinks a week, which I'm fine with. Hope you and DH have a good (alcohol-free!) wedding anniversary celebration tonight!!

truebeliever - YIPPEE on your positive HPT and good luck for a really strong number from your beta today!

angieinhull - GOOD LUCK for your beta on Sunday, can't wait to hear the results when I log in on Sunday evening. Are you still feeling awful with your cramps and breathlessness? Are you determined to resist the HPT's?

lw918 - hope ER went OK earlier this week. Let us know how you got on!

marymeganb - hope your transfer went nice and smooth this morning, and you're at home with your feet up being pampered! Did you get to transfer all three embryos?

KJGrant - hope you are managing to relax and not suffering from OHSS symptoms. Not long until beta...

Johannanita - still doing the AF dance for you, any sign of her yet??

Michele - HURRAY, you got started! I'm keeping everything crossed that this time you don't have any delays and have a silky smooth ride all the way up to your BFP!!

wolffie - good to hear from you, although really sorry to hear that your cycle got cancelled because of lab error on the test. As if we all don't have enough to deal with already, huh? I hope they have been massively apologetic to you. Best of luck for a smooth and successful September cycle!

wickedwheel - you've clearly got a little fighter in there! Keeping you in my prayers honey.

hopeful~n~09 - one thing you learn from these threads is that anything is possible and not to lose hope. See wickedwheel's story as an example! Fingers crossed for a better next beta - let us all know how you get on.

nicksgam - good luck for your test tomorrow. Sounds like they are being over-cautious, as you say, but I guess it's better to have more testing than no testing! I'm sure you'll be fine.

Rosario - hope everything is OK with you, hun. I think we're all a little worried about you as we haven't heard any news. You and the three little beans are in my prayers.

Have a good weekend everyone! Speak to you all on Sunday...

Hello Ladies,

I haven't posted in a few days because I moved over to July/August. I figured I would take a peek over here and see what's going on. Plenty of activity. Sorry for not getting everyone.

Hjw - Still no AF. :(

Wickedwheel - I'm still rooting for you and that little bean. I hope your beta's continue to go up. Good luck Hun.

AFM, I'm still waiting on AF. I went into the clinic yesterday and they're putting me on a pill to get my period to come. Now I'm just torn. I think I'm going to wait it out over the weekend. I'm going away this weekend and I don't want to worry about having to go in for baseline.

Question, when they say call us day 1 to come in on day 2 of cycle do they really mean the first day AF comes or the first full day of AF? For some reason this is what's sticking in my head. I don't' remember. At anyrate, if I don't get it by Sunday, I'll go pick up the prescription on the way home.

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and currently in my 2ww and freaking out.

I am currently 9dp5dt. My retrieval was two weeks ago, today.

I am an obsessive compulsive POAS'er... I don't want to do it, but I can't help it... LOL I have been getting the faintest of lines on Canadian Dollarama HPT's since Wednesday evening and faint lines on First Response Hpt's yesterday and today. When I say faint lines... I mean ghostly faint, but coloured and they do show up within three minutes with FMU.

I've read a million times that a line is a line... but shouldn't it be darker at this time? Shouldn't they have gotten darker? Could this mean a non-viable pregnancy if indeed I am pregnant?

I have other symptoms as well... but I'm also taking prgesterone suppositories so who even knows what is real! I did have quite tender breasts, but now it is just when I take off my bra and if I bump them. I've been constipated (sorry, TMI!) and have some mild cramping/weird feelings in my lower abdomen. I've been queasy a few times, few moments of extreme hunger, but I am stressed....

HELP!!! LOL

I am still here lingering around... Internet at home is down sorry =\ Thank you guys for having me on your minds. I had a little scare with bleeding and a lot of pressure last week. I went to L&D but all is well. 3 little ones were moving around with perfect HRs. I was bleeding because placenta is so big and because uterus is getting used to the 3 little ones. I will be 11 wks tomorrow... I am so close to starting my second trimester!!!
