Hey there, I tested at 5dp5dt and got a faint positive, but I think this is the earliest possible. For a 3-day transfer, I believe you have to wait until 7dp for a possible positive HPT. Good luck to you!

after all of my time on these boards, the earliest I have ever seen a real positive is 9 dpo (or 6dp3dt), but it is rare. The average seems to be around 11 or 12 dpo (9dp3dt). With my first ivf, I did not see a super faint line until the afternoon before my beta (13 dpo). So I don't think it's too early, but don't get discouraged if it is negative, there is still plenty of time.

oops, i do think it is too early for you, i read your #'s wrong, I thought you said 8 days past transfer rather than 8dpo...i think you should wait a couple days, you will almost certainly get a negative right now.

Too early. I wouldn't do it. You may even have some HCG left in your system from the trigger injection which may give you a false +. Or it is just too early and will be negative and who wants that stress?

I tested 7dp a 5dt so 12dpo and got my postive, it was surprising very a very pink line. I don't know it that was because my HCG levels were high because I am having twins. But I think you are most definetly too early you might want to wait a few days so your not disappointed. Good luck to you in our tww, trust me I know it can seem like forever.

Here's my 2 cents:

I say, it's too early until the day they tell you to test. Here's why: Let's say it says negative? That will worry you for obvious reasons. Let's say it's positive? You'll probably have doubts (I know I would) that it could be leftover trigger shot. It will just make you nuts, and at quite a hefty cost I might add (because you know you'll use more than one :) ).

The best reassurance is that nice healthy beta number.

Good luck whatever you decide to do...
