Shelby.. actually I wasn't expecting so soon... but hey, I won't complain. Now this is where it really gets stressing, waiting for the next AF so I can start whatever I need to for my FET and hoping my Frostyh makes it to thaw.
mjay.. I am glad u dont have that graves disease and your cycle can continue. Now the fun part begins. Hope u respong well to the meds. As for taking them on a plane.... you may want to get some kind of Dr.s note so that they do not give u a hard time. Is there a certainm time they want you to take meds? WIll you be in flight at the time? WOuld they let you carry on with you or would the flight staff need to hold on to it until your shceduled time? You may want to find out with the airlines just to be prepared for anything.
Good luck.

Shelby - YAY! I begin my lupron on the 12th. It looks like we are just a few days apart (and hopefully our future babies will be too)! nothing like a PMA! that package your clinic offers sounds great. I am lucky that my insurace covers everything. of course...not massage or acupuncture though!
statsgoddess - I POAS during my last cycle and got my BFP. BUT, I decided NOT to POAS this time around. well, that's the plan.
Hello all, I've been waiting for a Sept thread, but I didn't expect it to happen yet and now I'm behind.
We will be doing a FET on Sept 11. (trying to fit it in before the jewish holidays) This will be our second FET, durring the first ER I almost overstimed (32 folicles) so they thought I should rest before implantion, never done a fresh cycle. We have 4 blasts frozen from last time, when we implanted 2 8cell ebryos.
I got a BFP from the FET on my 29th Birthday from the levels thay think both implanted but m/c 7 weeks later while I was visiting my family over passover. I never saw it on u/s b/c I m/c'd on the day of my first u/s after transfer. So now we try again.
Shari, I hear ya about the holidays messin stuff up. My other option for the FET was Tisha B'av(day of jewish mourning), and I didn't think that was a good idea.
My brother just moved from Givat Shmuel to Yerushalem this week, I have a few friends in Modiin and the rest of the fam is in Detroit. I know its hard not to go for Yom Tov(jewish holiday in hebrew) expecially if there are bunches of little ones running around. I feel your pain, if you ever need to talk about those kinds of issues I can understand and I'm sure whatever question you have, I've already asked it.
I would love to know how it is to cycle there? I'm sure they are much more understanding without explaining.
I hope to hear lots of great news from this thread. Just ordered all my meds and waiting for my AF to start the pill so they can get me on the same schedule as everyone else. Hope everyone has a great cycle and I hear nothing but that everyone is going in a possitive direction.
Glad to by cycling with you ladies, good luck.

First of all, to answer your question, on one hand, IVF in Israel is GREAT, because it is free. Also, fertility know-how is second to none. However, I did feel like I needed to run after them to answer my Q's. They don't exactly hold your hand through the process. The fact that it is free (gotta love socialized meds) IS a tremendous burden off me. I know in America the financial strain must add to the pressure. Wishing you and everyone here lots of baby dust!
I got the feeling you are observant, as am I. Also, where in Detroit is your family? Do you know Sheryl/Lenny Zimberg?
I do believe I will have to wait till Sukkot (chol hamoed) to get an appt. at the clinic, and take it from there. So I probably won't cycle with you (because you will be pregnant by the time I start mine ).
Anyway, gotta run now.

Last year she had a patient my age and with 1 embryo she had triplets. I want to maximize my chances since I don't think I can try again any time soon. welcome turtle and malya! This is a great thread so far with great support and everyone is SO positive!
jayden - why is your doc so opposed to transferring more than 1? Isn't it ultimately your decision anyway? I was 27 at the time of my first IVF and my dh was also 27. The doc was very optimistic that we would get a BFP with 1 embryo but he said that in the end it was our choice. We transferred 2 beautiful looking embryos and both implanted but we lost one at 6 weeks. I can't tell you how glad I am that we transferred 2. I will be transferring 2 this time around also. If your doc hadn't said a word to you about what she would suggest how many would you transfer?
Wolffie - Thank you so much for starting this thread!!! I've been anxiously waiting to jump on this website. We will be trying for IVF #2 (fresh cycle) late September. This website was such encouragement for me last time.
We have a beautiful daughter from our first IVF round. Sometimes it's hard to believe that it actually worked. And it's going to be even harder to not expect this time to work too.
stlgirl - I sooooooo understand that DH's don't get it. My DH is usually so chit-chatty and can talk about anything, but the whole fertility topic is just tough for him to discuss. Glad you're posting this time!
I look forward to posting with everyone. Baby dust to all!!!!!
Me and DH - 37
TTC - 7 years, PCOS and 1 blocked tube
IVF #1 w/ICSI...DD born Oct. '08

IVF #3 - FET....ectopic pregnancy

jayden - we transferred 2 blasts last time. I would always choose to transfer 2 just to increase my odds (my personal opinion in my circumstance). Do you have any insurance coverage? If so, what does it cover? My insurance covers 4 fresh IVF cycles. Unless there is a positive with the birth of a life baby. In that case it covers 2 additioanl fresh cycles after the live birth. FET are like freebies. So, that helped make up my mind too. I didn't want to transfer one at a time and possible not end up with a positive at the end of the 4 covered cycles. Did that make sense?
J&C - WELCOME! How old is your dd? I am with you on having high expectations after a BFP. I am trying to remain cautiously optimistic since I am doing a FET. I know the success rates aren't as high as a fresh cycle.
Hey Wolffie - My DD is 9 1/2 months now and crawling into everything. She is just a joy! Boy - you have phenominal insurance. We have a $10,000 maximum, so our last IVF was paid for, and this one will cover about 1/2, so we're going to pay some money out of pocket this time. We're just praying for another bundle of joy.

Hey girls.
Wolffie- your right I'm gonna push for 2 embryo. My insurance doesn't pay for anything that's why we need to maximize chances since we don't know when we can have another ivf. It was a sacrifice to save for this one.
J&C-how many did you transfer your first time? I hope you get another BFP on your second as well.
