oh wow always so much going on here!!

Well we got some really excellant/surprising news today. Yesterday at the transfer we were told that no embies would make it to freeze. Today we recieved a call saying that three of them had really progressed last night and were fine to freeze! I wonder if the doctor would have known that yesterday if he would have wanted to go ahead and transfer three??

I'm doing ok, but going stir crazy. I'm not used to "taking it easy." Last night I was awakend a few times by a tightening in my lower abdomen and when i tried to stretch out this morning I was very tight. This evening I've been crampy. It's not even 2 full days post transfer so I'm sure this all probably means nothing. I promised myself I wouldn't analyze ever little thing, but I guess I was wrong! Do you guys think having light cramping this early is a bad thing?

DOGZ and BETH I'm getting so anxious for you guys!!! BFP's X2 tomorrow!! good luck! Also, congrats to you both for being so strong willed and not taking an HPT. I'm not going to either so you girls may have to keep telling me "It can be done!!"

Jamie and Cheeky our beta's are all back to back!! Good things come in three's isn't that what they say?? We'll have three days worth of wonderful news!

Pathfinder When is your Beta??

CT_Michele I'm praying that you get the news to go ahead and get started on the estrogen!

Dogslover Welcome! your ER numbers were similar to mine (i had 14 retrieved, 11 fert.) I had really really bad pain- mostly I just felt like I'd swollen soo much! So yes, it's totally normal :)

Lisa I've been the biggest ditz this entire cycle. I stop talking in the middle of sentences, forgetting what I was saying- loose things, etc. I've been a mess!! HAHA

Katie I'm so glad that nurse will be gone. Even if she was just having and "off" day, her being in charge of your stuff again would make you nervous. This will make your entire cycle go more swiftly.

Sunny How did the ER go or did I miss that on here?

thanks for the welcome

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I really appreciate it.

I really liked what CT_Michele said, something like hoping for the best but expecting the worst just in case.

I really appreciate everyone's positivity here, and I hope I can give you back some positivity too.

For my own case (42 y.o., 1 viable embie implanted), I also want to hope for the best but be prepared for any necessary next steps (whether that's repeating IVF, adoption, etc.) Everyone seems supportive, whatever the outcome, and that gives me comfort.

CT_Michele, my beta test date is next Wed., August 5.

Good luck, dogz and beth!!

Thanks again, everyone!

I am sorry I have been MIA........I have had alot going on here and am having trouble keeping up with all these posts!!! :o

I still have to go back and read a days worth but wanted to give you all an update on my progress........I triggered 1 hour ago!!!!!! I go in on Thursday morning for my ER at 8:30 EST. I had a great scan yesterday with 7 great size follies on left and 7 on right (all between 16mm-18mm, one was 20mm) The nurse giving me the U/S said I also had "like a billion" small ones started. This is where the trouble comes in. My E2 levels have been very high so they have been adjusting and re-adjusting my doses. Last night I only did my lupron shot. We where looking at Friday for ER but after having my labs run 2x they decided Thursday morning. My E2 levels were almost 4000 yesterday?!!!I was too afraid to ask today.

I am feeling very sore and ready to get these out! Looks like my beta will be Aug 13th. I am not sure on what day my transfer will be yet. I had a 2 day last time but I really hope with the better response this time I can go 3 or 5 days!!! :D :D

I am thinking of everyone and will do personals later when I feel better.

Sticky dust and PMA to all!!

Hi Ladies. My final post of the night and I've got take these contacts out!

lw918 -Thanks for the PUPO translation! I hope you feel better soon. :(

butterfly79 - Good luck on Thurs!

dogzrule and beth84 - I can't wait for tomorrow's BFP!!!!

Anissabug - I hope you feel better soon.

AFM, I started my BCPs today. I'll prob be starting lupron in about 21 days and looking at ER around Spet 5th. I'm so glad that I'm much more informed this time around. I felt so lost last time. I'm looking forward to my new protocol and I'm also giving accupunture a try. It's made a difference with AF so far. My AF is usually horrible and I'm popping advil like candy. I haven't taken any medication yet! Hopefully it will help with this cycle too. Sending lots of PMA and baby dust to all!!

Just wanted to wish Beth and Dogzrule GOOD LUCK tomorrow with your Betas!!! I think you ladies are extremely strong for not POAS!!! Also, you two crack me up.....I will be thinking of you tomorrow-keep us posted.

Butterfly78 - looks like you and I are on the exact same days! I triggered tonight Tuesday at 9 pm EST - I see you are from NC - what time is your ER on Thursday?

Johannanita - Glad to see you started your BCP tonight!!! You are on your way now.

I finally caught up on all the pages.....I am going to bed now because I am very sore. RE stated that they are concerned with me having OHSS and that was the reason for my high E2 levels............I had to stop taking my baby aspirin until after ER and they are giving me a prescription for a new drug to help with the OHSS?!! I just need to trust them. Does anyone have any suggestions for helping with side effects of OHSS being less severe?

Thanks for listening........................

Hi girls. ugh, I am sorry I have not been posting. I have been reading everyday but I have strep throat and have just felt so bad. I apologize for no personals!

I cannot wait to hear the results of today's beta's! Good luck!

Welcome newbies. I am relatively new here too. What a great group of girls!

AFM, besides having strep....I was finally able to get the date for my hystercopy and D & C. I am having it done 8/6/09. I am so confused though. My doc who is doing surgery said its a 4-6 week recovery. Well RSC clinic tells me once I have the surgery, I can go on BCP to start AF and call on day 3 to re-start BCP and get on with my IVF cycle....Do you think that its too soon after a D& C? I am getting such mixed messages. I suppose that by the time I do 3 weeks BCP, 10 days Lupron and stims...it will be beyond 4 weeks at least. Am I being paranoid? I just want to make sure we are giving ourselves the best chance possible.

Good luck to those awaiting their BFP's today!!

This will will be my 3rd day of Lupron. So far no issues and I've been able to give myself the injections without DH's help.

CT_ michelle- could you please add me to the list as well?

beth84 & dogzrule- wishing you lots of luck and patience today. I am pushing for your BFPs! And can't wait to hear from you both.

Everyone else- It is so wonderful to see your posts and all the courage, PMAs and honesty going on here. It is so reassuring to hear others having aches, spaciness and impatience to some degree or another!

I hope to write more personal notes tonight, just wanted to shout out to beth and dogz this morning. I am really enjoying reading posts from everyone.

Much sticky baby dust to all!

Ok ladies - doctor called and I am cautiously optimistic.

My beta was 29. He called that a "low positive" and said we really need to see that double by Friday. I'm definitely having a bunch of mixed emotions, since this is the closest to pregnant I've ever been, but of course, am terrified that it's not going to continue.

Do others know about this - how much does a low number matter?

Dogz - still keeping my fingers crossed for you, and I hope you're making it though this VERY LONG day.

Beth - i have read on other posts of folks with similar low numbers that did double up. So keep the faith. Sending u lots of positive vibes that the beta climbs up and doubles or triples by friday. Think of it as a positive number for now and go with it - u are PUPO!. Lots of hugs to u and hoping for the very best for u.

beth- Today was 14dpo (9dp5dt), right? That is about what I was, I say that because my 14dpo was on christmas day and the lab was closed, so my beta was the next day, which was 15dpo, and my first beta was only a 44. I know that if I had tested on what would have been my real test date, I would have been around 30...and I have my beautiful little ella to show for it...so it's ok to be cautious, but a low number doesn't mean anything bad. In my case, it meant I implanted late, and you will probably notice the same thing. Ella measured about 5 days smaller than normal my whole pregnancy, so obviously she was a late implanter.

So let me say officially...Congrats on your BFP!
