Michele - I am so sorry that you're going through this. I really hope AF shows up and you make this cycle.

Anissa - 13 is great! Fingers crossed for a good fert report tomorrow. I've never done lovenox. So sorry that you have to do more needles!

Dogz - still no POAS for me. Instead, I did more internet surfing. I found two more pieces of encouraging info - 1) that male factor/ICSI patients often show lower hcg levels at first, and 2) hcg levels are significantly lower in singleton pregnancy with a double embryo transfer than in singleton/single embryo transfer. They think something about one embryo not making it might delay implantation in the second one, but not sure why. You can see how I've been obsessing.

Anyway, my fingers are all crossed for both of us tomorrow, and for Michele and AF, and everyone else!

Michele, Awwwwww, that totally sucks!!! What level do they consider ok for the e2? I had mine tested last Monday and it was 62 and they said I was a go for my FET in two weeks. I am still on lupron until next Friday and have my last u/s. Do you have any cysts? What was your progesterone? I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Congrats on all the BFPs on the board! I hope it is a trend :),

Hang in there dogz. Keep us posted. When is your next beta?

Take care everyone!

beth - that is very encouraging. I'm starting to have some cramping, though, which is making me a bit nervous. When will this worrying end?????

gecko - next beta is tomorrow morning.

I forgot to answer a question asked earlier:

lisa - I'm a teacher, so it's very easy to endure all this craziness over the summer. It would be logistically/emotionally impossible during the school year for me to do this.

Michele-I'm sorry--that sounds frustrating. It is totally normal for you to be frustrated right now. I am sending you good vibes and hopes that things will turn out well.

Butterfly-WOW! 25 eggs! Amazing! Hope you get some good rest.

Dogz and Beth - Everything continues to sound good, esp. with the HPT. Best wishes for tomorrow.

I am still trying to learn everyone's name and story but definitely good wishes for everyone.

I wanted to ask if anyone had thoughts about being 40+ and doing IVF? I'm 42, as I mentioned, and my clinic is not exactly discouraging me, but by citing the statistics and probability, they are also making me wonder if it is worth it for me to do IVF again if this one doesn't work.

One doctor suggested using an egg donor, but the cost may be too steep for us.

Thanks!

Hi Ladies,

I am officially on my 2WW. :? The RE was able to transfer 3 embies on Monday, and apparently 2 grade 1 with 7 cells each and 1 grade 4 with 4 cells. I spent the first three days on my sofa simply resting and praying. My beta is scheduled for August 7th. :!:

Dogzrule and Beth84 - CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy...

Ladies, no matter where you are in the process, I wish you well!

I am feeling so defeated. These cramps are not letting up, and they are strong AF cramps. I just know tomorrow will bring bad news.

hello ladies

I'm in Ireland now and I'm still following you ladies on this thread and sending you loads of happy Irish baby vibes! Thinking of you today Dogz and Beth- Lots of PMA!
Michelle, hang in there - lots of PMA going your way too!
Gi- I hope your drive into Dublin wasn't too gruelling - Dubliners are a little crazy on the road - nearly as bad as Londoners!

Lisa - on the job question, like Dogz I'm a teacher too so time off work could be tricky - but luckily we have a large female staff many of whom have fertility and gyaenological problems so the school are really understanding about time off - but it's still a headache getting others to cover for your class! My clinic told me they get lots of teachers in for IVF treatment- I don't know what the connection is, but I have met lots of teachers who have problems.

Beth - the BFP still hasn't sunk in with me either- am not getting any symptoms yet either, so am willing on the morning sickness so I can at least feel pregnant!!

Thinking of you all and sending so many happy, sticky and fertile thoughts to all you ladies. Xxxx

Dogz, Starwishes, Beth, congrats in your BFP..Dogz / Beth good luck today, it's been a long two days I'd say

Butterfly / Anissabug, great news on your ER! Take it easy now and mind that OHSS Anissabug

Sunnygirl27, good luck with ET today!

Michele, thanks for adding me to the list. Its not over yet so PMA!

Irish baby dust to everyone else XXX

AFM: Had really bad nite of cramps / nausea Tues nite after ER Mon, so my clinic said they would scan me Wed morning to put my mind at ease. thankfully no OHSS or anything more sinister. Felt a bit silly then  and would you believe, I felt much better that afternoon!!
My 10 embies are going strong as of yesterday so we are moving to a 5 day ET on Sat - that means no news today on that front....oh so nervous/exicited at the same time. Can I ask if any of you were incredibly bloated after ER....I think it might be the progesterone suppositories but I feel like a walking talking balloon?

Chat soon,
Doglover xxxx

Today is day 6 on the stims.

Still feel great, just a little discomfort when I sleep on my side.

Had another ultra-sound this morning and I have "20" eggs and they are all growing at a great rate.

I am so happy there are so many, since I am donating half.

The doctor initially told me he suspected I would have 20 but the last ultrasound they only saw ten... just goes to show that I need to trust him.

Hi! barging in here...
I previously had a fresh IVF cycle in April which was a BFN and occasionally still lurk the boards

ct-Michelle I read your post and your concern about your elevated e2. I'm not sure if you remember me but we cycled together in March/April. Well, I had the same problem as you back then. I started on Lupron and when my suppression check came I hadn't started AF yet. My e2 level was like 230 at that time but they said it was normal to be that high seeing how AF was a little late and that was causing it to be elevated. They continued me on Lupron and gave me another supp. check appt a week later to give AF a chance to appear. Which thankfully she did. My cycle wasn't cancelled but it did push the E/R and E/T date back a week. I'm hoping it will be the same for you!

BTW- I am also in the process of my 1st FET transfer. My date is August 11th. It's taking me this long to get the courage to try again. That 1st BFN was probably the most devastating and heartbreaking thing I've endured up to this point.

Praying for all our miracles!
Cindy

sportsmom- of course I remember you! And I am pleased to see you are trying again. This whole e2 and lupron thing is driving me nutty. I bet this would only set me back about a week, but my clinic only has an embryologist there for one week out of the month, so my body needs to be ready during that week, and they told me if I don't get af by monday, I will probably miss the august cycle. Ugh, I just don't get it either, b/c I would think my e2 would be really high like yours was too, but I don't think mine was that high. I remember them telling me once that they wanted it under 100, which it is, but now they say under 50.

Cheeky- hang in there hun, we are praying for you. I can't explain why the hpt might have been positive except that maybe you tested too early and the hcg shot was still in your system, or maybe the bleeding will stop and it is a real positive.

cressica- yay for 20 follies...that is a great number.

doglover- great news that you have so many embies and will get a 5 day transfer. And maybe you will have lots of frosties too.

starwishes- I am a teacher too and I do notice lots of teachers going through ivf. I can't put any reasoning on it. Maybe it's because teachers are so dedicated to their jobs that they wait a little while to have kids? I don't know, for me, there is no connection since we are 100% male factor. Maybe teachers have so much patience that they are able to indure the whole ivf process, so it just seems like there are a lot of us, because we are persistent and don't give up!

pathfinder- I moved you to the 2ww, yay! Try to relax and beta will be here before you know it.

liana- There are lots of 40+ people here with success stories. I would not be discouraged, yes, it is a lower success rate as age increases, but it still works!

dogz- hang in there, early pregnancy symptoms feel like af symptoms.

gecko- apparently my clinic wants an e2 of under 50. They did not see any cysts this time, but I wouldn't be suprised if one develops, thats what happened last time. They didn't tell me my progesterone number.

AFM- waiting on af, and I think she might show! Warning, TMI, but last night I wiped extra hard and saw some discoloration and same this morning, so I have the feeling she is on her way and will be here today or tonight. I don't know if I should call my clinic, since they close at 12 today and won't be there over the weekend. My guess is that they will want bw monday at the latest. Ok, I have to run, I am going to be sooo late for my playdate!

Good morning everyone!
How are you all doing today? Well, I'm on a high dose of bravelle (600 units) and this morning I'm beginning to feel that popcorn maker feeling, sorry but thats the only way I can describe it. So I 'm feeling ALOT more positive about this cycle! Just stimming along ....,

michele - I'm so sorry that you're all frustrated, but I'm with dogz - nothings over yet! I'll be doing your AF dance with combat boots on!! You are in my prayers!! fingers & toes crossed for you!!!

sunny - Wishing you the very best of luck for your ET today! rest up!!

Liana - I'm 40 and it may take us a bit longer, but not always. There are lots of women on here that are 42,43,44 + Lots of inspirational stories! I am concerned that your RE isnt making you feel more confident though, is that just his/ her personality perhaps? read through some of the "over 40 crowd" on the general forum - I think it will make you feel much better! Is this your 1st ivf? you have to keep in mind that each cycle is different too! - xoxo

beth / dogz - Waitng with fingers crossed, guys!! :D

butterfly - 25 eggs? !!! wow! waiting for the fert report!

lisa - So glad that your baseline is a "go!"

Gi - Good luck with Dublin driving!!

Anissabug - YAY 13 egg!!! fert report today?

path finder - Yes! PUPO! wishing you lots of STICKY patience dust for the 2ww!

cheeky - You are in my prayers, girl! I've heard lots of stories on here that women had red blood spotting and still had a + .Dont give up yet!!! Rooting for you my friend! - xoxo

starwishes - It does seem like there are quite a few teachers here, I wonder whats up with that? Maybe because alot of people dont say what their occupation is? And teachers are proud of their profession so they do? Very interesting.

doglover - Good luck with your ET on Sat.!!! The "bloaty" feeling will subside, it helps if you drink lots of water.

cressica - Grow those follies!

sportsmom - Welcome!!

Hugs & sticky thought to all of you!!
