Great news Hopeful. Do what they tell you to do for your own piece of mind.

I was told to take it easy for a day and then continue on as usual. No exercise or sex.

Everyone hears different things.

You are own your way. Feel good about it.

Hopeful, that is wonderful. I have my fingers crossed for you. As far as post transfer activity I have also been told different things: Total bedrest 1 week after transfer for my first cycle, only getting up to shower, make a quick snack and pee. IVF #2 I was told to bedrest day of and take it easy day after. I am not sure what they recommend now though. I read a study they did in India that should it was detrimental to limit activity and they advised against it. I guess I think it depends on how will you feel if it didn't work, would you feel guilty or obsess with what activities you did do?

We leave Sunday for Prague. Donor started AF today; nurse told me to wait until donor's ER before I start Utrogesterone. doesn't that seem too late? I have decided I hate Estrofem & prednisone! Or maybe it is the other way around and they hate me. I am so afraid I am going to start AF and have no lining. I feel like I am getting ready to start AF, nurse wrote today that not to worry it is just one of the side effects.

How are all the Preggies & the Mommies doing?

Stef - Have a good trip! I look forward to hearing a great update :)

I was very good on my bed rest and my DH is still letting me do very little. I went back for acupuncture again today and now I just have to wait until August 9 for the beta. Considering I'm on vacation right now I might go stir crazy by then

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Hi egg-heads!

Hopeful - congratulations on the great cycle so far! Hope the 2ww goes by quickly for you and ends with a very big positive result!! Sending you lots of PMA and baby dust!!

Stef - wishing you all the best for your trip to Prague! Like Carolyn already said, it is normal that you start the Utrogest at the time of donor ER, the other meds are building up your lining. No need to worry, everything will be fine. Looking forward to your update when you return with your precious cargo on board!

Carolyn - sounds like you had a really nice weekend - except for the long drive back. How are you feeling otherwise? Less than 2 weeks till your next scan!!

chriss - thinking of you and hope all is going well! Nice that you have told your beach friends about your pregnancy. I am sure they were all thrilled for you! Now you can really enjoy the rest of the summer and just be yourself without any hiding!

We were on holiday last week and really enjoyed being away one last time as a couple. The weather was wonderful as well as our hotel. We ate a delicious 4 course dinner each evening, which was just divine. During the day, we took small trips and just really enjoyed ourselves.

Big hello to JDC, Sabi, jenB, Gigi, poohgirl, kelly, Luanne, and anyone I have missed! Hope all is well with each one of you!

Take good care and have a great week ahead!
xx summer

Hi ladies,
sort of been mia lately. Like I said "in my own little world....." getting used to the idea of twins- & it's hard to keep this a big secret. I'm starting my 9th week & the one brother I told said that today I'm showing & will be harder to keep the secret. Feeling very shi---- all the time. Medicine helps but not 100%. Friday is my last day of Summer Intervention & then off to the east coast w/dh for a long well deserved vacation- probably the last one for awhile. Carolyn, the tiredness is coming full force now. What am I going to do when school starts full time???? Glad everyone seems to be enjoying their summer. Hey Summer- where did you guys go on holiday? How are you feeling? Nursery ready? Boy, I feel out of touch. I'm sorry everyone.
Just wanted to pop in & let you all know that I'm thinking of you & wishing you all the best!!

Hi Egghead Friends!

Welcome to Baby and Hopeful. Hopeful, sounds like your cycle is going perfectly - when is your test day?

Sabi, sorry to hear that you aren't feeling great. Hopefully it'll pass at the 12 week mark. The tiredness also subsides at that point. In fact, with my twins, the second trimester was fantastic!

Stef, hope that your cycle goes smoothly. Can't wait to hear the report.

Carolyn and Chris, I too was a gym addict but took the first trimester off - just in case. I did go back and did the eliptical and walking on the treadmill and some lighter weights from 3 to 8 months and it all was fine. Even though I was considered a high risk pregnancy (because of twins) my doctor said that I had no high risk symptoms so he said I could continue with my exercise.

JenB - hope you are off enjoying your summer traveling around. Did I mention that we are coming to England for a wedding next summer and then taking a week after the wedding to travel to Scotland. I can't wait. Any suggestions on places we should go - we'll have the twins with us so we'll be semi-limited but hoping to do lots of amazing things!

Summer, how are you feeling? Do you have most things organized?

JDC, Poolgirl, and Gigi - how are you guys all doing?

As for us, the summer is going well. We've spent a lot of time up at my parents cottage. While the weather hasn't been great its been sunny so that is okay. The twins love swimming which is great fun! They are now crawling and pulling themselves up on things so it is getting busier. This happened at the cottage so my DH and I have been frantically looking at babygates to keep them safe in the house. Evan is going to be the monkey, getting into everything.

Thinking of you all and hoping for more positives in the next couple of months!

Hi Sabi and Kelly,
so nice to hear from both of you!

Sabi, I can only 2nd what Kelly said (and glad it also goes along with twins!) that the tiredness and generally feeling icky pretty much goes away in the 2nd trimester and you will get your energy back and can "do things" and feel more like yourself again! It is great. Wishing you the same sort of "recovery" in just a few weeks from now!
I think continuing to exercise is a good thing as soon as your doctor gives the a-okay about what you can do and how much. I've been walking and swimming, which I love, because I feel so light! :D

By the way, we were on holiday in northern Italy, which isn't so far from us...even though we drove over many alpine passes and through 5 countries (with Italy being the 5th) to get to our destination! Although we stopped a lot, my ankles still got swollen from sitting for so long! Oh well.

We haven't finished the nursery yet. We are doing bit by bit each weekend, so it will still take us a few weeks.

Enjoy your holiday!!

Kelly, sounds like you guys have some very busy little monkeys there! Glad you are enjoying your summer. What kind of swimming are your twins doing? I think that is great that they like the water. Must be so wonderful that you can really see some great milestones being met while you are all together.

Stef, thinking of you and hoping all is going well in Prague!

Hopeful - almost halfway through your 2WW! Sending you more PMA to keep you going!!

Hi to all the egg-heads out there. Hope all is going well!

Hi Eggies, sorry I have been such a lurker, but I've been so busy. Now I'm upset because my donor (sis) has been on lupron and today she had day 3 u/s and it only showed 6-7 follies, when her baseline showed 14. The monitoring RE said something about it was from the meds. Has she been oversurpressed? Does this mean I will have to postpone this cycle? I know I will have to ask my nurse these questions, but I really need to know before they call! It's tough since my sis is in Fla. and I'm up north.

Carolyn, Summer, Sabi, & Kelly - Thank you for all the positive thoughts. My test day is the 9th, yep, a Sunday. I had a little nausea yesterday and a headache today, so I'm taking those as positive signs :)

JDC, I think we were cycling at the same time last year about this time. I wish I could give you advice on your situation, but I'm clueless ... just hoping the best for you. Keep us updated.

Sabi, you mentioned summer intervention and going back for the school year, are you a teacher? Enjoy your vacation!

Summer, sounds like your vacation was great ... I'm jealous

Carolyn, sounds like the wedding was fun, but I hope you've caught up on your sleep.

Kelly, glad you are enjoying the summer with your kiddos ... you make twins sound easy!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Happy to hear your NHS referral came through and you can see your IVF doctor without the extra cost! That is great. Aside from the tiredness, how are you feeling otherwise? I hope well. Will you continue with accupuncture throughout your pregnancy?

We did a bit of work on the nursery -- have all the furniture, but the room still has things in it that have to be cleared out, and until that happens, we are at a bit of a standstill. DH just has to call in some extra help and we will be on our way...We'll be on holiday next week and will then be rested and ready for the homestretch --

Hello to chriss, jenB, sabi, gigi, stef and poohgirl!
Hope everyone has a great week,

Hey Girls,

They did the ER today, we have 8 eggs, apparently everything is going wonderfully and they expect good fert results tomorrow. We have transfer set for Friday. RE was concerned with me being on my 19th day of my cycle and didn't want to wait any longer than necessary, so he doesn't want to wait for blastocyst. My lining is 11mm with a triple strip and I started progesterone today. Has anyone had issues with going longer in a cycle? Problems with your lining?

Prague is beautiful and the clinic is impressive after going to Fertimed. So far I would highly recommend them. The doctor was very nice and gentle with me. There are 2 women assigned to me; Anastasia the International Coordinator & Jana the Nurse. Both speak excellent english and for what appears to be a large facility give me preferential treatment.

My stomach is still off so I have been careful with eating. We ate at a Mexican place called the Cantina, it was wonderful. We went to a black light show; total waste of money. DH and I both fell asleep and left at intermission.
