Well ladies, I might have to wait another day for results...ugh. When I went to the blood draw place, I asked if they would get them today, and they said yes, but it wasn't STAT, so it wouldn't be until late afternoon. My clinic puts their answering service on at 5, so I call at 4:55 and they said they are still waiting for results and would call me. So I sit and stare at the phone some more, and then realize that they have my cell phone number listed as my primary in my chart for some reason, and I never have my cell phone on me! Sure enough, I check, and a voicemail from 5:00 saying that my results still had not come in and they would call me in the morning. Ugh...I hate waiting, you think I would be use to it by now.

beth, cheekyone & amanda- i am so sorry that it didn't work out this time for any of you. i have to say that this is my first time, and while i am trying to stay optimistic, i know there are no guarantees. not doubt that you all have fabulous attitudes that will keep you going. you will be my inspiration on how to handle whatever comes my way next week when i go through the same. i wish you all peace....take care this week and stay positive about what lies ahead.

ct_michele- would you mind adding me to the 2ww for Aug. 11th..it sounds silly, but it feels more official when i see you have it posted! also, sorry you didn't get the results yet...how frustrating!!!!! good luck with tomorrow's news, i hope it's good!

AFM- i confronted dh and things are so good he is out mowing the lawn as we speak. i'm normally not a crier, so who knew a few tears would turn him around like this. thank you friends AND progesterone ( just kidding) has anyone seen the movie "Sybil?"
....can we say multiple personalities? serves me right, i had no other symptoms during the entire cycle until now.

Dogzrule: So excited for your BPF. Maybe you will be the beginning of a "positive" trend for this post. Try your best to relax and accept: this is finally happening for me!!!

Lisa: Sounds good so far. Grow follies grow!!! I agree with the others, I WOULD NOT go anywhere on day of transfer. My acupuncturist wanted to do a post transfer session and my doctor advised me to cancel it and go home. I spend the rest of the day on my couch reading "Harry Potter" for the upteenth time. In fact I tried not to do much of anything for the next few days...

lw: Yes, I completely agree that the nurse thing is both a help and a hinderance. I think I know just enough to freak myself out, but not enough to really keep myself calm and rational!!! So funny how in control I am for my patients, yet the slightest bump in my personal journey turns me into a crying mess. I think I will take your path and not test until the Beta on Monday. Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!! I will be crossing all possible appendages. I think the slight cramping sounds good though.... (there I go trying to make everything "fit" again!)

Thanks, everyone, for the support and kind words. My RE said that in a couple weeks we'll do some more tests (a miscarriage panel) to see if he can find a reason, and then we'll proceed from there.

In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy doing all the things that I gave up for my summer of IVF - running, wine, regular sex with DH, etc. Normalcy sounds kind of nice for a bit.

Amanda - I hope to see you on the later board!

So my instructions have arrived and meds ordered:
Lupron 10 8/7, last BCP on 8/11 and start 1 low dose asprin till preg test
Blood wk/ultersound 8/13
if Suppressed will start 8/15 follistim 150 and 1 powder menopur and 5 units lupron
office visit 8/18
8/20 DH starts doxycycline 2x day till retrieval
night of retrieval start medrol 16 mg, for 5 days, and doxycycline 100 mg 2x for 5 days and start estrace 2mg 2x 1 day after retrieval
Start Progesterone night of retrival

Sounds like an awful amount of meds!

AFM - had more brown spotting today which FREAKS ME OUT, but I know that I know that I know that brown spotting is completely normal and nothing to be scared of. Seriously, can I get one day that I'm not freaking out and worrying about every little thing?

Hello Everyone!

Jeez - You are some typing munchkins! I'm not kidding when I say that I have to read & take notes! Its really a great thing that this thread stays so busy, I've noticed that some of the other ones stay on 1 page for a week at a time. There is always something to look forward to. Today I started to notice the beginning of that half way point of stimming when you start to move much slooower. I'm pretty sure that tomorrow my RE will throw menopur into the mix, then its really slooow time, and sweatpants or pj pants, because everything else bothers your stomach. YAY? So tomorrow is the 1st sono since stims, I'm so nervous as to how many follies there will be! The sonographer is super nice so I hope to not scare her when I jump of the table yelling about how few there are. See how my mind gets? terrible! No, I'm just joking I actually feel pretty positive as to how I've been responding to the bravelle. Cross what you've got for me (please?) til tomorrow ......

I am scheduled to go for my beta test on Friday, Aug. 7, but I may end up going on Saturday because of course I have a meeting all day Friday. Either way, I have decided to enjoy the hope that comes along with the 2ww. DH is going crazy, but I find that I am a lot more giddy than I have been during this entire process.

Hello all-

I am really new to all of this-I'm in my first IVF cycle and I am having a very hard time staying positive so I am looking for all of your wisdom and support. My story: my FSH level is 20, my DH has low count and motility. I am in the stim phase and went for the first check today-nothing showed up and they said my estrogen level was below 30. So, they upped my follistim to 350 to see if it will get things started. I feel like a pincushion and I'm a complete emotional wreck. I guess I'll find out if the extra dose worked on Thursday. I wish you all luck and will send my thoughts and prayers to you. I'm glad I don't have to go through this alone with all this craziness!
