rayofsunshine- welcome to the board. Hope you find a lot of hope and wisdom here. My DH (to-be!) also has low motility due to a vasectomy reversal. We did ICSI both times and were able to get enough good embryos (2-3) to transfer. No BFP for me yet, but we are still hopeful. Good luck on your journey - hope you will get used to all the shots soon, and sending much sticky baby dust your way!

Hi Ladies,

CT-Michele
, could you put me down for the 2ww, beta on August 5? Thank you, and thank you also for your encouragement about us 40+s. And so sorry you have to wait another day, that is so frustrating, but now tomorrow is closer....best of luck!

dogzrule-Congrats! Wonderful news! I know what you mean about the worrying, I am a natural worrier. It's all good news, though! By the way, I live in the Bay Area, so thank you for the recommendation in case I want to check out another clinic.

Amanda, I am sorry to hear about your BFN. Do get all the support you need. I am really really inspired by your positive attitude, though, and it is helping to change my attitude about possibly getting a BFN. If I do, I am hoping to do a cycle in November/December, so maybe I will see you then! AND, I am hoping to do acupuncture then too!

Kate99, thank you for suggesting the Over-40 Crowd on the General Discussion boards; I checked it out and I think I may start posting there too. Good vibes for your sono tomorrow!

Gi, thank you also for your encouragement to 40+s.

Cheeky, I am sorry to hear about your BFN. Thanks for everything you've shared; it's helped a lot, and good vibes for your FET!

Helen, congrats on the ET!

rayofsunshine, I was told I had borderline high FSH levels (10), and my husband has slow motility. We did ICSI. They retrieved 4 eggs and 3 fertilized, though they were all graded differently, but I guess I'm saying that it is still possible. They had to increase my Menopur dosage.

AFM, I have my beta on Wednesday and I am nervous but everyone sharing their results, both BFP and BFN have been so helpful for me. I am going to try to hold off on POAS, based on what some of you have said. But maybe I will get my blood test, and then POAS to prepare for the phone call? Or is that not a good idea?

PMA and hugs to everyone! :D

And Beth, I am sorry to hear your news. I agree that it's best to accept your discouragement right now and it will get better. Sending you good vibes for your FET. Thank you for your inspiration and support on this board.

Cheeky so sorry about the bad news. Hang in there girlie, this WILL happen for you. Here is some good vibes for yoru next cycle!

dogz Great news on your beta results! Congrats! H and H 9 months to you. Just to warn you, the worrying never ends....not even with a live baby....try to enjoy it as much as possible!

amanda ugh, hugs to you. So sorry to hear the news. You have such a great attitude despite the news. You truly are inspirational!

beth I am so sorry about the beta results. I wish I could give you a big hug. News like that is never easy....I am so sorry. If there is anything we can do.....you got it!

lisa I agree. I think the wedding is too much to risk on day of ET. I think if for some reason it is a BFN, you will always wonder if you did too much on the day of.....I think its best to rest so you can say you did everything you could for that little embie!

gi hurray for AF....good luck this cycle.

katie99 good luck. hope all goes smoothly!

CT_michele hope the 2ww is not too torturous. Good luck!

Phew.....I know I missed some. Welcome to the newbies.

AFM, I am having a D & C on Thursday to remove my polyps. I am hoping the surgery is a snap and I bounce right back. I will stop my BCP over the weekend and wait for AF so we can get this IVF cycle on its way...Have any of you had a D&C? What was the recovery like?

Jamie: Good luck today and hoping and praying for a BFP!

Michelle: any news? still doing the low E2 dance for u so that u can get this show on the road.

Katie: all the best for the sono today. keeping everything cross for u and doing the grow follies dance.

raysofsunshine: welcome and pls ask as much as u want as this is a very supportive board with loads of experience.

Dogzsrule: don't worry about the spotting. this is very normal. our body is going thru so much right now. Enjoy being pregnant!

lw: wishing u the very best for tomorrow and sending u lots of positive vibes.

AFM, i went in for my last accupuncture yesterday and hoping this works for me. I really don't know how much more of this i can take. I guess i should just take it one day at a time. I called my RE and had my beta move up a day earlier. He would not move it any earlier. So now i go in on thursday. Please pray for me that this works.

All those on 2ww, wishing u loads of patience dust and PMA. Those on stims, grow follies grow!

Baby dust to all u lovely ladies! I really could not have made it this far without this board. ((((Hugs))))

Hi Ladies

Beth - i really am so so sorry for your news - make sure you take time out for yourself to really deal with this loss.

Julie nurse - i think these treatments make us all feel like we are constantly on and off 'that ledge' - keep your chin up and use the support and pma that is on this meesage board as much as you possibly can!

fitzjr11 - if anyone caught us with all these drugs we get - we could get in a lot of trouble - lol  - good luck with them all!

Dogzrule - please, please, chill sweetie - just remember - YOU ARE PREGNANT!

Katie99 - i know what you mean about the sweat pants - what i would have given to have been able to wear them to work!!

Miyaya - GL on thursday - i'll be thinking about you (im sorry i dont know anything about the d+c procedure to help)

Gi - don't some peoples throw away comments cut like a knife? If only they knew what a brave face we have to put on sometimes - be strong (and maybe she needs a root canal - with no anaesthetic??!!!)

Rayofsunshine - apart from loving your name - i think we are in pretty similar situations! I too was told i wasnt responding to my stims and they were considering abandoning my cycle - i was absolutely devastated - i felt like a failure at the very first stage (in addition we have to self fund and the money may as well have been burnt!). So they tripled my menopur and left me for a couple of days before re-scanning - i swear my heart was actually in my mouth waiting for the nurse to tell me if my body had started responding - but it did!! I had 6 eggs collected and 4 of them were suitable for icsi. all 4 fertilised and i had 2 embys transfered yesterday! (with any luck our other 2 embys were suitable for freezing - we will find out by post). So hopefully this will show you that all is not lost sweetie - i was an emotional mess too - but here i am officially a 2ww girl now! So keep positive and i am sending you all the follie growing dust i can muster! I will be with you in spirit on thursday - make sure you let us know how you get on asap. :)

AFM - i cant believe only 24 hours has passed since et - feels like 240 hours!! This wait is going to be horrendous (im getting everr so slight crampy period type pains - and am assuming this is normal - is that right?)

Take care ladies and make sure you catch as much of the pma im throwing at ya!

I got a BFP! My level is a 154, whatever that means. The nurse said it's a good number. I started with 110 on my last successful cycle that ended in a MC. I'll go back on Thursday for another HCG test and if all goes well I'll have my first ultrasound on the 24th! Thanks for everyone's words of encouragement, support, and positive energy!
