hi guys

UGGHH! And here it starts.. again! I went for b/w & u/s this morning, they said lining looked good (4mm) its only day 6 of stims. Well the nurse just called & said that they see 1 follie on the left & 3 on the right, but that my E2 is only 20! And they want it at about 100 !! so they are upping me to 750 units of bravelle now to "save the cycle" unquote. I am so upset! I see last month's cancellation all over again! I cant take it, I hate this! Now I'll be a giant stress ball made of chemical soup, thats what the nurse called this last month. I told her to go right ahead & turn me into "chemical soup" I dont really care, as long as we get there! Hows this for fun? michele - I wish that we could trade E2's! I'll post more later when I'm done with the ranting, venting pity party - xoxo

Oh Katie, I am so sorry to hear the news about u're E2 levels. What is the max dose of bravelle u can take? is this same as follistim or Gonal f or is it like menopur. Are u taking any other stims? I am praying for both u and michelle one for e2 to go up and one to stay low. All parts of the body is crossed. Keep us posted. When i started mine was low as well and then they bumped me up to the max Gonal F dose and that did the trick so here is to hoping it works for u. I know it will.

Katie: Don't get yourself upset yet!!!! Let them give you all the chemicals they need to to get this cycle kicked up a notch. Maybe extra meds will make beautiful healthy follies!!!!

Michele: I'd be breathing fire if I were you!!!!! Let us know!!!!

Sunnygirl: I was getting loads of cramping and twinges (sort of like when I ovulate) in the abdomen and pelvic floor yesterday and Sunday. Today I really haven't felt a thing. My boobs aren't as sore today either. I'm freaking out. Does that mean something was good yesterday and has gone wrong? This 2ww will be the death of me!

Katie - My follicles progressed really slowly during stims, and they doubled my dosage of Menopur because I had high FSH levels, so I know what you mean about the stress during stimulation--like, come on, body, let's get stimulated! I too felt okay with being turned into chemical soup as long as the job get done! Hang in there and good vibes for your E2 going up!

CT_Michele - I hope by the time I post this, you will have heard something. I think a lot of us are mad and irritated at your clinic on your behalf! Waiting is exhausting! Here's some hope for good news.

gi - thank you for your encouragement. Yay for starting meds!

miyaya - good luck on the D+ C

Sunnygirl
- Yay for another 40! Yes, we did ICSI. I think it helped.

marymeganB - CONGRATS! Whoooooo! Hope you are celebrating.

babies
- I'm glad too you got your beta moved up. Fingers crossed for you and all of us!

cressicaw - 25 eggs - WOW! That's so great that you are donating, to help someone who needs them. Good luck on the ER!

butterfly - congrats on the ET and welcome to the 2ww! get some rest.

AFM, I have an AF-type headache today and my beta is tomorrow. By nature I am cautious so I am preparing myself that this means AF is coming. But I really, really appreciate all the encouragement that everyone is sending and I very happily receive your hopes and PMA!

hugs to everyone!

Hello to all - I hope I can join in this thread? I'm in the midst of a FET...on Lupron currently and will go in tomorrow morning to see if I'm baselined out and ready to start Estrace. If all goes appropriately, that'd put my ET on 8/25. I have three frosties waiting for me!

I have been reading these boards through the last few cycles, and realized I should jump in and talk one these days! Maybe it'll help with the pma. And I have a little experience (unfortunately!) so maybe I could have some good advice too... I dunno. It'd just be nice to have some people in the same situation to talk with - seems that all my friends that have had troubles managed to get pregnant over the last year!

To everyone to start, since I think it'll take me days to figure out who's doing what, etc :D - I wish lots of luck with whereever you are in your cycle and lots of pma!

Julie I asked the boob question last week. I was told by ghost that your symptoms will decrease and it isn't a bd thing. All of those follicles on your ovaries were producing progesterone- even more than the shots, and as your ovaries and follicles go back to normal you've got less progesterone and your symptoms will go away or decrease.

Kaite I sure hope this increased dosage helps you! Hugs and best wishes.

Michele I don't blame you for being upset!!! I would be too. I hope they call you soon!

Butterfly congrats on a great transfer! Now go take it easy- keep "couch potatoing" Sticky dust your way!!!

Cressicaw Best of luck! those are wonderful numbers!!

Dogz I can't remember if I told you congrats yesterday or not- either way CONGRATS (again!) Believe it girl!!

MaryMegan GREAT NEWS! Hope I get to follow you with another BFP tomorrow!

AFM: Today has been the WORSt.
I'm so anxious. I'm trying to stay busy and calm, but it's really hard. I'm going to get up REALLY early tomorrow and drive for my beta. I Hope that if I get up early enough that I can make the hour drive home and sleep until the nurse calls me back tomorrow. I'm terrified. I've GOT to settle down. I got terribly sick this morning. I just had to lay flat and think "don't throw up, don't throw up". I'm pretty sure my antibiotics are the cause of that!!

lw: Oh honey, my stomach is in a knot for you!!!! I will be praying hard for you tonight and tomorrow for the positive beta that we all are hoping for!!! I don't know, nausea sounds good..... Thanks for the info on the boobs...it makes complete sense, but then again, nothing in this process goes how you expect, so i should just come to expect the unexpected!

Good luck tomorrow, big hugs and PMA going your way!!!!!!!

Julie - I just want to echo what was said on the sore boobs thing. Mine were HORRIBLY sore after the ER, and as the days went by, it decreased to nothing. Mine still aren't sore even now that I got my BFP.

lw - I know the waiting gets drastically worse as the day draws nearer, but you will make it. I cannot wait to hear your BFP news!!!

katie - I'm so sorry that you are feeling discouraged, but it's not over!!! At one point in my cycle, I was SURE it was going to get canceled, but the doctor did his medicinal magic (and God gave me a big miracle), and onward and upward we went!!! Hang in there! Praying for you to stim stim stim!!!

Michele - I too am getting angry for you. Waiting anxiously for word.

Liana - headaches are SO common, so it does not at all mean AF is coming!!! Can't wait for your BFP tomorrow too!

Nicole - WELCOME dear, we are so excited to have you join us.

hi all!

OK, I think that I'm a little more back to normal now. I called the nurse back & she said "we will get you where you need to be" I seem to be fixated on the med they had me take in may, Arimidex, an estrogen blocker! that is usually used in breast cancer pts. But is used in IVF to "starve off" endo tissue. I'm a nurse, certainly not a doc, but if you had me on an ESTROGEN BLOCKER why are we surprised to see that my E2 being LOW is now a problem? My 1st IVF was in Dec/Jan & there wasnt any hormonal issues. I know, focus on now, I'm sorry if I'm ranting. Well I have no choice but to hope for E2 levels on Thur that are WNL. Please!

babies - thank you so much! You made me feel better than the clinic did! :D Your story makes me hope that my raised med dose will work out too! yes, 750 units is the max, I believe. bravelle is the same as follistim & hope to start menopur on thur. which kicked it into high gear in the past for me. I'm still praying for your beta on fri!!!

julie - thanks! You, me, & lw are all in the same boat. Nursing gives you enough knowledge to make yourself extra nervous

liana - thanks! Wishing you the best of luck tomorrow! cant wait to hear!! fingers are crossed!! I think you, me, & sunny are 40

lw - thanks! Good Luck tomorrow!!!

michele - Am dying here! Will they just call already!? fingers crossed for you. Although I could take some of that estrogen off your hands

nicole / ray of sunshine - Welcome! Lots of great women, info & support here!

gi - finally AF & meds! YAY! good thing, that was alot of dancing!!
I'm with helen - that pt. needs a root canal, then go ahead & hit em in the head. Boy we are getting real silly today!

Cheeky - thank you, my friend. How are you feeling? hugs & prayers to you. I know the next one is your BFP!!!

helen - So exciting!! great embies!!! Sticky, Sticky thoughts to you

sunny - Glad that DH is in check now!!

marymegan - CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!

butterfly - YAY!! PUPO!!! wishing you much stickiness!!

I'm sure improving my typing skills here girls, its feels like I've written a book! Hugs & prayers to all of you!!!

OK, bad news as I expected. E2 went up to 142 or something like that, I was too mad to even hear the real number. She said I am not supressed, I need to increase lupron from 10 units to 20 units and I need to bleed. I told her I am bleeding, and she said it must not be the real deal...and I assured her it was, heavy flow the past 2 days, up to a tampon every hour (sorry tmi). Anyway, she said to increase lupron and go back for u/s and bw on Aug 18...which means no fet for august for me.

I am sooooo angry and upset. I just don't understand. I ended up calling back and of course the coordinator had left for the day, so I left a message. I just want answers. Last time I went through this, the RE said increasing lupron wouldn't do anything, so why increase now? And I have read that people do FET's without using lupron, they time it with their natural cycle. I think my RE is not offering or doesn't do that because they only have the embryologist there once a month, so they are trying to get me on THEIR schedule. I have a feeling that lupron works for most, but what if it doesn't for me? Not to mention the wicked headaches that will probably get worse by increasing the dose, and I don't these headaches for the next month!

Ugh, I don't know what to say ladies, I kinda expected this, but it doesn't make it suck any less. Of course I will still hangwith you, update the list and route you all on. Sorry that my pit party is bringing the pma down. :(

michele - UGGGHHH!!! Oh, no I'm so sorry! Idont even know what to say to you. Its not right to have you on their once a month embryologist schedule! With a lupron dose that high you are definetely in a BIG headache category. I'm sorry. Will you ask them about using Nno lupron at all? Oh, honey that was SO the wrong answer - big HUGS!!

I just called back and left a message with the receptionist, saying that I would like aphone call from RE when he has a chance. I figure I should just talk to him since he is the one with all the answers anyway. I am tired of people in the middle, I just want answers, if he calls today or tomorrow, I will let everyone know.
