Hey girls, hope everyone's week is going well. Wow, this thread has suddenly really slowed down! Not as much to catch up on after a few days' absence as normally...

Kuion - so sorry to hear about your BFN. I know how you must be feeling right now, but you made the right decision to come and join the boards as there is an amazing group of women on all these threads who will help you through. You asked about the FET process - I think it varies a lot from clinic to clinic, but at mine they down-regulate you for 3 weeks or so (a lot of the US clinics use BCP's instead) then when your system is suppressed, you take estrogen tablets to build up your lining for about 2 weeks, then when the lining is thick enough they thaw the embryos and do the transfer. So the process is quicker and much less invasive than a fresh cycle. I saw that you have 3 frosties - when do you think you will do a FET cycle?

vicky - still thinking of you, sweetie. (((((hugs)))))

TrueBeliever - wow, another great beta. Can't wait to hear the result of your scan on Thursday!

wickedwheel - great to hear your little fighter is doing well and that you saw the heartbeat. How amazing. Roll on 12 weeks...

hopeful - so happy for you!

Michele - you've been very quiet, how are things going on Lupron? I'm praying for you that you don't get any more delays...

marymeganB - best of luck with beta today, will be waiting to hear the news!

julie nurse - how are you holding up in your 2ww?

AFM, DH and I are starting to come to terms with what happened. It's not so much that I took the drugs for 6 weeks and had scans/blood tests, all for nothing, it's the thought that our two embies actually 'died' during or after the thaw. I could have handled being cancelled because my body wasn't ready (although that would have been so disappointing) because at least my frosties would still have been there waiting for me. The clinic told me that they have an overall 60% success rate for thawing frosties so that also makes me worry that there is a quality issue with our eggs/sperm that we didn't know about - on those statistics we should have got at least one embryo to transfer and I've never read on the boards of anyone being cancelled because all their embryos failed to thaw. :(

Plus I'm still mad that the earliest they can see us to talk through what happened is still 6 weeks away. Ah well, nothing we can do about that so I guess we need to try and relax until then. Easier said than done though, although a few glasses of wine over the weekend (forbidden before then!) and talking about booking a short break away has helped a bit. I think the name of the game for the next 6 weeks is going to be to keep distracted!

I got a BFP!!!! WOO HOO!!! My level was 154. I'm not sure what that means, but the nurse said it's good. I'll go back on Thursday for another HCG test and if everything goes well I'll go around the 24th for my first ultrasound.

Hi Ladies,

I am sorry I haven't posted much here, this thread has slowed down as everyone has moved on, and I have been posting a lot in the july/august thread hoping for an august FET.

Marymeg- Congrats on your bfp! How exciting! I updated you on both threads. :D

hazel- I am still here, lingering around. I am sorry you have to wait so long for your consult, maybe a spot will open up sooner...I would call and keep pushing for it...remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease!

angie- good luck on your upcoming scan, you're almost there, and I can't wait to hear news from you. Have you been posting on the reality thread? I need someone to talk to about BB!

wicked- glad to hear your little fighter is still going strong!

AFM- I went thrusday for baseline u/s and bw, u/s was fine, e2 was still too high. I got af over the weekend and went for bw yesterday and I am sitting here today waiting for the news. If e2 is low, I think I will start estrace and gear up for FET on aug 20, if e2 is too high, I assume I will be delayed again, how long is anyone's guess. I hope they call soon...ugh.

marymegan - Woo hoo! A massive congratulations. I am so happy for you. Goodluck on thursday.

Michele - I can't believe you could get delayed again. I hope your levels are good today.

HJW - our embryologist told us that it is not just about emryo quality and that they really don't know which will survive until they thaw. I know it must be really hard to deal with. I hope you get a good break away.

I've had some time for my good news to set in and I'm keeping an optimistic attitude about my BFP, but still being careful not to get too excited b/c I know there isn't anything certain until I see the heartbeat and know that everything is alright. I just hope and pray that the little thing is strong and continues to develop properly. Goodness, does the nervousness ever end?

MarymeganB - woohooo!

Hazel - Thanks for info. Yep, have 3 frosties. Just awaiting appointment to discuss next step, am hoping this will be within the next 2-3wks. The waiting part is all so hard. Thinking that may not use our frosties yet, think we might have another fresh cycle this time and hopefully add to our pile of frosties for the future. If we do this, I'll reckon it will be Oct/Nov time. Seems so far away
Are you going to have another go as soon as you can? What's your plan now?
Just booked fortnight away in Sept, that should take my mind of things for a while.....and kill some time.....

Hi Ladies,

Hope you are all well.

Big congrats to those BFP's - hope you are keeping well.

Nothing new with me. I'm contacting the unit tomorrow to see when we can go and speak to the doctors/nurses about the outcome of their meeting they have. Obviously we've got a few questions of our own to ask!

Me and DH had a lovely long weekend at my mum's caravan, didn't want to come home! We've not got a holiday booked as yet, waiting till mid August for more of a sale! Although that hasnt stopped me holiday shopping! lol :D

Not sure who I'm going to talk to now, can't exactly join the mum's to be board! :(

My last post will probably be after I've been to the clinic, let you know what they said.

Speak soon x x x

CONGRATS MARY.. This has been such a great thread.. we have smiled and cried together. It has been truly a blessing to share this expereience with each of you.. Only you all know the true feeling of the situation. Of course we all have supportive DH, but it's not the same and sharing it with people who are going through the same....

I have noticed the thread has gotten quiet, I am sure most have moved on. I want to continue to keep you all posted, as it was you all that kept me same sometimes. I have my first ultrasound tomorrow and am scared out of my mind. I have been having some cramping here and there and do not feel pregnant. I can't remember when I started to get MS with mylast pregnancy. I guess I just need somethng to make me feel this is real... Hopefully things will go good tomm, I believe I will only be 5wk6days so there may not be a heartbeat just yet. I am excited, but I know my heart will be racing during that 2 hour drive to my RE tomm afternoon. Everyone just say a prayer for me, I really need that extra boost.

Thinking of you all.. I'll try to post tomm when I return, if not for sure Friday morning.. Everyone have a good evening!

Hey guys quick update... I will be 13 wks on Sat. Everything has been ok with the pregnancy. I am still pregnant with 3 beautiful babies and have already been feeling flutters since last week. They have been getting stronger and stronger as the days go by. At the u/s today the babies couldn't stay still making a little hard on the tech to get some measurements. I am at low risk for downs syndrome which made us feel better. Other than that I am definitely showing a lot more. I started showing at 7 wks. Sorry for being all over the place with my post. Take care guys!!!!

Rosario- so good to here those 3 little miracles are doing well. I bet you are showing, and those flutters will soon be full on kicks!

True- so excited for your scan. Hope you see the hb, but if not, I am sure you will next time. Keep us updated.

Marymeg- official congrats over here on this thread, even though I caught you on the other one already :D

vicky- you can talk to anyone, I am still here! There is a great thread on the general forum too called awaiting treatment. If you watch any reality tv, come and join us on that one too! Let us know what the clinic says.

AFM- wish I had better news to report, and I know some of you already know from the other thread, but yes, I am delayed again. E2 doubled. So I have doubled my lupron dose to 20 units, and will go on tuesday for another check. RE says I will stay on lupron until I am supressed and it WILL happen, he just can't predict how long that will take. So I will have weekly check until I am supressed and go from there. I think at this point I will be lucky to have an FET in september.

But thank you all for your support, and I will still be around, as I always am on these boards! Best of luck to everyone here, and I will keep checking in for updates, and follow you pregnant ladies on the mommies to be board.

Thanks again to everyone for their support. This has been just a fabulous outlet for me. I went back for my 2nd beta this morning and my numbers more than doubled! They went from 154 to 1376. I'm not sure what that means, but the nurse said it's good. Now I just have to have trust, patience, and hope that I make it to the u/s on the 25th w/ no problems and that everything turns out ok!
