ct-michelle-I'm really pissed for you! grrrr....that's just not right! Is this the same clinic that got you little Ella? I can understand you wanting to stay with them for that reason but these delays are enough to make you go somewhere else! Once a month embryologist? He must be mad busy when he's there! Ok, enough of my spewing...

Michele - I am SO very sorry hon. I too went up when I started lupron (120) and they doubled my dose to 20 for a week. It went down to 44. Normally you would only be delayed maybe a week, but it sounds like with your clinic, you're done for the month? That just isn't right.

Thanks for the warm welcome! You all work fast on here! :)

Michele- I am so sorry! This whole thing is frustrating enough without delays. I can't believe your doctor isn't set up to be more flexible...I hope you get some good answers from the RE when he calls back!

sportsmom- it is the same clinic that got me my little miracle Ella. I really like all the people there, especially RE, he is such a nice and understanding guy, but you are right. I am starting to wonder about switching. I mean, I am out of pocket now, and I am starting to feel like it is more about their schedule than mine. For the kind of money they get paid, it should be the other way around. But I wouldn't even know how that works, I mean, my embies are with them and I am sure it is expensive to switch...and honestly, I really do not want to leave them and just trust them, but my anger is talking right now. I am sure when I talk to RE on the phone he will calm me down.

dogz- I am happy to hear that your e2 went down after increasing the lupron. I was concerned b/c RE said last time it wouldn't work. He said he had tried with people before and all it did was increase side effects (like these horrid headaches). But I though it was worth a try last time and all I can do is pray it works for me. Maybe then I can be on schedule for september. If I have to stop everything and start all over, I know I will be lucky to hope for october.

Again guys, so sorry to bring down the mood, but you guys are theonly ones that understand and that I can vent to. I tried to talk to my mom and she just doesn't understand about the medications and such, and she knows is I am mad that I keep getting delayed. And she will keep telling me that there is a reason for everything, but I am sooooo tired of hearing it and looking on the bright side.

Michele - I thought my doctor was CRAZY when he told me to up the lupron. My thought was the same as yours: if it caused me to stim, how will doubling it suppress me? He assured me that it works, and boy was he right. To my surprise, I did NOT get the horrible headaches (like the ones I got when I initially started the lupron). I was convinced they would come back with a vengeance when I doubled. Again, I am SO sorry for your frustration and wish there was something I could do.

Michelle-

I'm sorry for your bad news. I'm going in again Friday to hopefully have low numbers. I really think you should consider switching to a clinic that has availability every day of the month. This whole process is way to stressfull without trying to force our bodies to do something on days that work for the RE!

I am so bloated and nauseous today, does Lupron cause it??

Michele,

Argghhhhhh, that must be so frustrating!!! Please, there is no need to apologize for being mad and upset. Any of us would be plenty mad and upset. I find waiting to be the hardest thing of all. Most of the time, you can feel like at least you are doing something. But waiting is enough to drive you batty.

You get as much support as you need. We are all keeping each other going!

Michelle: I am so sorry to hear the news that u have to wait one more time. This is horrible and i would be as mad as u. I can't believe that they are making u work around their embryologist schedule - once a month. why don't they get more than one? I know it is hard to think of switching esp given that this is where u conceived Ella and u're embies are with them. I would talk to your RE though. Set up a meeting with him and let it all out. Heck u are paying for this.

On my FET, i was not on lupron, only BCPs, Estrogen shots, aspirin and then PIO shots. And this worked for me. Not sure why they are putting u on lupron. I would bring all this up with u're RE and not u're nurse.

I really hope that u get u're answers soon so that u can move in and have a proper schedule instead of all of this waiting. Uughh i am so mad for u! Big hugs to u.

Hi ladies, I am joining very late and I hope I can catch up on all the stuff going on in this thread.
I started stims on Sunday and should be having my RE on 8/12 if all goes well. It is a freeze all cycle due to a history of OHSS and poor lining. We will do a FET cycle in a few months. In any case I thought you could keep me company this week. I use Lupron as a trigger instead of HCG since the HCG seemed to cause some issues for me in the past.
Good luck everyone!

Welcome to Nicole and Rikirees. I joined recently too, and this board has been very welcoming!

Congrats to Anissabug on your transfer!!! Get some rest!

I wonder if people could share their thoughts about having a Day5 transfer versus Day 3 transfer? I am wondering if I should consider it for the future. thanks.

rikirees - WELCOME!!! (((hugs)))

Liana - There are so many studies out there with different outcomes, but here's what I've learned. A 5-day transfer tends to have a higher success rate, but they will only do it if you have a good number of embies (I had 8 fertilize out of 14 eggs). I think, from what I've read, that if you have less than 5, they will do a 3-day because you lose more embies the more days you go, and they don't want to risk losing all of them by waiting. Of my 8, 4 made it to blast.

Thank you for being so welcoming! It is so helpful just reading how everyone is doing-it definitely gives me hope

Katie-I feel your pain as I am in the same boat. I was already put on a "higher" dose of follistim and menopur and it didn't work so they upped the follistim. Now I'm waiting it out to see if the increase really helped. I don't care how much they have to pump into me I just want it to work.

CT_Michelle-I am so sorry to hear your news. I would be angry and frustrated too so please vent without apologies. I get the same positive talk about everything happening for a reason from my mom and while I know she has good intentions it is frustrating and unhelpful. I have had the horrible headaches too but my doctor made me think it couldn't be from the meds, just stress related. It makes me feel better that I'm not going crazy.

Congrats to the BFPs-it is so encouraging and I wish you the best!!!

Keep the faith :D

Hello Ladies,

SOO much going on!!!

Michele - I am so sorry about your situation. I know it sucks. I've only been canceled once (1st IVF), but I cried and cried and cried! I felt like it was the end of the world! I agree with everyone else. Maybe you should look into another clinic. I hate to do the "my clinic does this" but they are open 365 days of the year. I've never heard of this only once a month thing. You're paying so much for this and yes, they need to be on your schedule! I'm mad for you!   I hope that everything works out for you hun. REAL SOON!!

Katie- I'm sorry to hear about your levels. I hope that they can get you where you need to be. I'm such a basket case right now and I'm still on BCP until 8/15 then I go in for my baseline before lupron and starting stims. During my last cycle I had 4 on my right and 3 on my left. I was told right away that my ones on the left would not progress. I should have asked why. I did have part of my left ovary removed, but if it was going to be useless then why keep it?! My E2 was always too low and they finally canceled me right before ER. I'm so scared now that it's going to happen again! I'm hoping that the microdose works for me.

Ladies...keep those BFPs coming....we need them. :D To all the ladies having gone through set backs and BFN..I'm very sorry. I try hard to believe that everything happens for a reason. I know that there is a plan for everyone of us.
