Jaydentd - I had a horrible experience as well. I had mine done at a place other than my clinic because insurance would pay for it there. They said I had a tilted cervix and it took forever and was awfully painful. Probably the worst part of my first IVF experience. Then, the clinic called and said they couldn't read the x-rays and wanted me to repeat it! I said absolutely not, and they did some other thing instead that didn't involve the dye. (Also, not comfortable, but I was expecting it this time.) When it came time for my trial transfer, I reminded the nurse about my prior experiences, and they decided to do the measurements while I was knocked out for egg retrieval, which suited me just fine. They dialated my cervix then and put in a stitch in case they needed it for the transfer, which they didn't as it turns out.

Michele - I am so sorry to hear about your delay again. I know how much it sucks to want to get started again and not be able to.

Interesting to hear the idea of a bad batch of lupron going around. I actually got the vial I am going to use as leftovers from a friend who just did IVF and is going to hear the hb (or beats!) soon, so I'm hoping some of their good luck is still around!

stat- yeah that was horrible, I'm glad we're done with that. That was a smart thing to do the practice during the retrieval. did you start your bcp yet?

I'm going today to re for ivf orientation, I'm going to ask today when do I start. so excited, yesterday i got my medical clearance letter so I'm all set. I'm ready for this painful but so worth it journey. :D

jaydentd - You might consider asking the same thing and have it done at retrieval since you had a bad experience as well. I'm going to do the same thing this time. Still no AF, but not really expecting it until Friday or so. Eeek - orientation! Let me know what you think. I didn't (and don't plan on) doing any of the shots myself. I'm a big wuss with needles. Hopefully DH can refrain from traveling this time around as well, so I won't have to!

Good Morning Ladies....

Shelby... I am going thru something similar with my PC at home...aaarrrgghhh!!! I can't use it cuz my DH has infected my PC with a whole bunch of trojans and viruses so now I have to try to work on it with the info one of the computer guys here at work showed me... if not then for $40 he said he will wipe it clean and make it fresh. Which is not bad... so since my DH has 1000s of music in there he needs to oops I mean "I need to back it up" first cuz I wil lose everything. Aaarrrgghhh, thanks alot DH! GL with your printer.

Turtle... GL with your cycle... 1 step down and the fun is just beginning. :)

wolffie.... TY. I am praying for our embies and hopefully we can be mommies together :P Doesn't that sound soooo nice??? :P

Jen... welcom... and ask away!!! Hopefully we will have an answer for every question u have. Enjoy the ride and Lots of luck to you.

statsgoddess.... As To_Have_Fun once said "Wear the White Panties"!!!! :P That should do the trick hun. GL.

AFM.... Well, doing alright. Last night I had the mos beautiful dream. I dreamt that I woke up, and had PG test on my mind... so I took a test for the hell of it. I POAS and came back to the bed then I looked at the stick and there were 2 lines  I cried and showed my DH and we cried cuz we were so happy. Then I woke up!! :(

Today was a much better day! Hubby saved the day again and fixed the printer. Don't know what I would do with out him! <3

Lady J - That's an awesome dream you had! Now let's make it a reality!

Jaydentd - Do you feel smarter now after orientation? I know after mine, I felt so dumb! LOL! I never knew there was so much involved.

Miyaya - Thinking of you and wishing you all the best tomorrow with your surgery!!!!

Stats - When I went through my first cycle, they told me I have a tilted uterus. It must be pretty bad because the NP mentioned it several times and so did the RE. It made my transfers a little more uncomfortable especially the second time. Evidently, it stands straight up instead of folding over and I was terrified that gravity was going to be my enemy. My DH made me lay flat for 3 days! I could only get up to go to the bathroom and walk to the bed. Oh darn!

FYI: We are expecting company in from out of town tomorrow until Sat. so I may not be on here for the next couple of days. I will still try to read, but not sure if I will have time to post. In case I don't get to chat for a while, have a great weekend!

Hi,

I am also currently on BCP and will start Lupron sometime late August. I just had my meds instruction early this week and it all seems extremely overwhelming but the nurse told my husband and I that they will guide me every step of the way. This will be my first cycle and I am excited but also very nervous.

I think most of us are using Lupron this time, but if not, please let me know. Here is the post about Ganirelix:

Is anyone using Ganirelix in August? If so, send me a PM if you don't have all you need. Have to use it in August. Hurry! :D

welcome - neffi and rose!

neffi - SO sorry to hear about your m/c. ((HUGS))

rose - at first it is very overwhelming. You'll get the hang of all the meds quickly. One thing that helped me what to have a giant calendar. I kept track of everything, what meds i did which day, what time, and what dose. I also kept track of acupuncture and yoga. it really helped me to see everything on one calendar.

jayden - how did orientation go? i remember walking out thinking that I understood everything when the nurse was talking to me but it seemed to fly out of my head as soon as I walked out the door.

shelby - enjoy your company this weekend!

AFM, my lupron is being delivered tomorrow! I still have all my other meds left over from my canceled cycle. I am so ready to get going again!

CT Michele-- Ah yes,,, here we are again! Why do you keep getting delayed? What is up? I am glad we are here together. My cycle will probably be closer to October, but oh well, I don't have a schedule yet.

J&C-- yes, I remember you from early on. Congrats on your little girl! Hope this is a good month for us looking to have our second!

Ugh, OMG - AF is usually like clockwork - pretty much 27 or 28 days - I was expecting it today....but no luck so far. Augh. I know it's just one of those rare months I'm a little late - but it's the month I don't want to be late!!!!!!
