Katie-I am SO glad that you got great news and won't have a canceled cycle! I'm wishing you the best on Sat.

My news was not good at all. I had no response to stims and my cycle got canceled. I haven't stopped crying today (which is a serious problem because I also started back to work). My doctor said we could try different meds at higher levels next month and also said that we may need to consider an egg donor. I can't really wrap my head around this all yet.

I will keep track of you all and hope the very best for you :) Keep the faith!

Rayofsunshine: so sorry honey. I can imagine how furious and disappointed you are. Sending you big hugs.

Sunnygirl: Today, you really saved me. Thank you for reminding me to be positive when i felt like drowning in worries. You are right. The closer we get to that beta, the more nervous I get. But I need to keep talking to those little embies and tell them about all the wonderful things mommy and daddy want to show them one day. I am going to go home and sit on my couch with DH and spend some time thanking them for staying with us. Sunnygirl, I really feel like I found a "sister in battle" with you. Thank you so much for getting me back on a positive track!!!!!!!!!!

ladybug - wow, I can't believe there is someone else going through the split donor program. Where are you from? My husband and I are doing it except it covers only half the cost of IVF.

We have been so blessed. I ended up with 25 eggs and 18 were perfect. I have to say that I think when you do something as unselfish as this, God will reward you. Besides, the doctor told me that typically they do not allow women to make this many eggs, so if I wasn't donating I would have less anyway.

I know that if I could not produce my own eggs, I would absolutely accept donor eggs... just for the incredible experience of being pregnant.

My ER is tomorrow. I'm super excited!

Oh, and the menopure is the toughest. Let it sit for a few minutes before you give yourself a shot and make sure there isn't any liquid on the tip. I did the IM shot last night and it didn't hurt at all.

Me - 33
DH - 40 (high number of sperm with morphology issues so we are doing ICSI)
TTC - 3yrs
Clomid - BFN
Insementation twice - BFN
1st IVF - July/August
ER - August 6th

I couldn't resist checking in again tonight...i'm addicted to all of you!

rayofsunshine- i'm so sorry they canceled. i don't know how i would handle it, but probably not as well as you. sorry you had to deal with work during this. hang in there...i'm thinking of you.

julie nurse- i am definitely your sister in battle....and we are warriors and will get through this! you helped me out when i needed pma too! thank you for that. my dh and i are a sad sight, we let our "other babies" sleep with us. so the past few days our golden retrievers have been in bed with me and as we lounge around in the morning and we have conversations with the babies while they the pups lay their heads on my tummy. i gotta say, what could be more relaxing and loving for my embies? why wouldn't they want to be a part of our family? we got it all going on!:)

hey, by the way, what doc do you go to? i am at cornell and was in nyc for the last three weeks for this cycle! keep the pma sweetie!

Sunnygirl: I think those babies would be soooo happy in your little family with puppies and two wonderful parents. I'm sure your little guys know that and are working extra hard to get you that beta number we are all dreaming of.

I was at Weill Cornell (Dr Spandorfer) but had to switch when I left one hospital job to go to another and my new insurance wasn't accepted there. Now I'm with the other Presbyterian: Columbia on 68th and Broadyway, Dr Sauer. He's one of NY's top 10 RE's but frankly i see more of his associates than him. Who are you using over at Weill? Next time you are in town we need to meet! I work literally 5 blocks from your center and live on the upper east side. I have got to take you to lunch, sister!

julie- my RE is Kligman. he did the transfer and Davis did the retrieval. i was really happy with everything except my assigned nurse. but i had her changed further on, so the others were fantastic! my family has an apt. on 78th st. which helped as i lived there during that time. i would love to meet you! i wish i had when i started on this post a few weeks ago when i was down there! i hope there isn't a second time down there, but you never know!

fitz- great that you were at cornell too! who was your RE? did you have a good experience too?

Julie, please try to stay positive. It is a roller coaster of emotions and the hormones are going wild right now. It is a good sign that you were overly hysterical...hormones are raging right now since you are PG!

Ladybug- the Beta is the level of HcG in your system- the hormone that is used to determine pregnancy. Usually anything over a 5 measured 10 days post transfer (dpt) means pregnant, although the clinic want to see higher like around 20+.

My Results

Post by jamie3777 »

THE RESULTS ARE IN:

Beta #1---48
Beta #2---179

YAY!!!!! MIcro IVF worked for me!!! We are on cloud 9. As you guys know, we only got 1 mature follicle which fertilized and was a 8cell grade 1 on transfer day 3....the dr told me today that my numbers are in the twin range, which means I could be carrying Identical twins. I go for a third blood draw on Monday because the dr is curious to see if it is more likely a singleton or twins, but we will find out either way in about 2 1/2 weeks when we go for our ultrasound.....

Julie I did the exacty same thing. When is your beta again? About 5 days into my nine day wait I just lost it. I convinced myself there is not way I'd be lucky enough for this to work. I cried for an entire day! I WAS WRONG! My DH basically did the same thing as yours- they are more rational than us (and also not getting shot full of hormones every night!) It's still not easy. I had a good beta and I'm still nervous that tomorrow they will say something has gone wrong. It's gonna be ok. Stay positive!

Jamie How many days post transfer was your beta? Those numbers are great and I am SO HAPPY for you!!!!!!! CONGRATS! Let us know about that next beta.

Lisa so glad it is going to wokrk out for you to be in the wedding!! I think we're all relieved that you won't be trying to handle that hours after your ET! GOOD LUCK!

Sunny we have 3 dogs and 7 cats! One of the cats keeps sneaking into our house and laying on my stomach. These animals love our babies!

Cressicaw GOOD LUCK with your ER tomorrow! I'll be thinkin of ya!

rayofsunshine I'm so sorry to hear that you got cancelled. That is such a disappointment and my heart breaks for you. I really hope that your doctor can work something out that your body can respond to.

rikirees I'm sorry to hear about your babies during your previous pregnancy, but glad you were blessed with your daughter. Sounds like you are going to have a great harvest!

I'm not sure if I caught everyone, but I didn't take notes haha!!!
Everyone else PMA :D PMA :D PMA :D

I'm praying for even stronger numbers tomorrow![/b]
