Hi Everyone,

Katie 99: I am on Merional and Decapeptyl. He increased the Merional and added Decapeptyl. I am in Europe so maybe these meds are kinda foreign to you guys. I really hope it works this time around.

Jamie3777: Only one follicle was formed or only one matured after puncture? My last cycle was cancelled because only 2 follicles formed. I was kinda disappointed, because you only need one egg to get pregnant :(

rayofsunshine: I am so sorry to hear that and know how it feels. My first cycle was cancelled because i didn't respond to meds, and because FSH was very high. Dr put me on DHEA and FSH went from 35 to 9.5. so im keeping my fingers crossed that this time it will work better. Will know on sunday if response is better this time around.

hugss to all and good luck and lets stay positive!!!

Jamie377: great 2nd beta!!

Sunnygirl: Love the PMA!! Keep it up girl.

Katie99: its great you are not cancelled!!

Rayofsunshine: so sorry to hear you are cancelled its tough getting only so far then to be stopped without you every getting a go at it, i hope they figure out a better protocol next time.

Lisa good luck with ER tomorrow, and enjoy the wedding.

Julie stay strong - I also felt like that on my last cycle and it came to breaking point that i had enough already of all these mind games so i just had to test early i needed to know one way or anothter before i drove me and j mad....shock is an understatement when it said pregnant i actually left the bathroom and assumed the "not" will show up in a few min. My fingers and toes are crossed for you xxx

Marisen welcome to the madness of ivf! good luck with ET tomorrow.

Sportsmum i have only 2 frozen embies - day 3 they were 8cell and a 12cell - i am super nervous about the thaw as i know only too well how devastating it is not to get a tranfer!! I actually feel sick thinking about it. Fingers crossed for both of us xxxx

Right ladies i have only today left in work then i am off for 2.5 wks  Happy days!!!!! I may not have access to internet for next wk so I am going to pray doubly hard for each and every one of you and try to pick up some Kerry baby dust to sprinkle over ye xxxx

WOW...congrats BABIES and Jaime! Soo great. babies those number s are amazing....I just know there are multiples in there. Good for you!!!!!

Ray~ So sorry to hear you got canceled. While I have yet to be canceled, I can only imagine how you feel. Ugh. These cycles are so emotional and costly, I am sure it was a punch in the stomach. But I firmly believe that there is always a reason. Your little eggs were just not ready. Next cycle you will have a better batch and get some good, long overdue good news. Hang in there.

Good luck to you ladies in 2ww, harvest and transfer. Cannot wait to hear some more great news.

AFM, surgery went really well. I felt nothing.....when I woke I have mild cramping that lasted a couple hours.....these were less than regular AF cramps so no biggie. I did not get sick from the anesthesia and was out of the hospital by 12 noon. I was really sleepy all afternoon from the anestehsia but I am glad its all behind me now......now I need to fiure out when to stop BCP to bring on AF to get rolling. I need to make sure I am still in my 3 weeks of BCP while on vacation b/c I cannot get monitored where we will be if I am on stims.....ah, the things we do!!!

I started spotting a bit yesterday. It was light pink. All the worrying has begun. Please tell me this is normal. I keep telling myself that and I have to wait for the whole weekend for my next beta. Could it be because of the suppositories or too much activity going on? So nervous based on what I have been thru before. I don’t think I can begin to enjoy this until prob my last trimester. A few personals…

Julienurse: Hang in there. Monday is right round the corner. All of us go thru these emotions and it is very normal because of all the drugs in our body. Sending u lots of PMA and waiting to hear your BFP on Monday
Rikirees: Sorry to hear about u’re two that did not make it but u were blessed to have u’re beautiful daughter. She must be a real fighter. I transferred two 5 day grade 1 blasts. Hoping for twins but not more than that because I am scared of the risks involved. Good luck with your ER on Wednesday. Grow follies grow.
Sunnygirl: Thank u so much. I agree this board def has good karma. U have such great attitude. Keep the PMA and can’t wait to hear u’re results. When do u go for the test?
Ray of sunshine: I am so sorry to hear about your cancellation. That must be so hard given everything that we have given to the cycle. Just try and look forward to the next one and be ready for everything going great. I wish u the very best and will be around to cheer u on when u cycle next.
Cressicaw: Wow 18 perfect eggs. That is awesome and so nice that u can share this with others. Good luck with ER today and here is to lots of eggs.
Cheeky: Thank you so much. It still has not sunk in as much. All the worrying has started of course. I am hoping for twins but will take a singleton also. I just want healthy babies. Enjoy u’re long weekend. U totally deserve it.
Lisa: so glad that u worked out the timing of the ET. Good luck!
Jamie: yah! Another BFP on the board. Was wondering about you but those are great numbers. How many days post transfer was the second beta?
Lw: good luck with u’re second beta today.
Marisen: welcome to this board. Lots of great women full of support. Good luck with the ET tomorrow. 6 is a great number.
Gi: Thanks. Are u going anywhere fun for the 2.5 weeks? Have a blast.

Michelle: When u get a chance can u run my numbers and let me know. Thanks and hope u are keeping u'resef busy with the party.

Katie: How are u? Ready for u're u/s tomorrow. Wishing u load of luck. i will be sitting like a pretzel anxiously awaiting u're great results.

Hey everyone -

There are so many BFPs!! I love it! always makes me happy to herar all of the great news thats going on here! I started the menopur last night, so I'm eager to see how tomorrows u/s looks. I have a good idea, because I can tell by the sonographer's face, she is usually smiley & chatty, but when she isnt seeing improvement boy, does she get quiet! like crickets quiet!! so I kind of go by that. PLEASE let her be chatty tomorrow!

ray of sunshine - oh, hon, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know how much it hurts! It is so very frustrating to be in the back seat on this journey. When you are feeling stronger & healed, I hope that your RE will decide on a protocol that will do the trick. We are all here for you & will be when you are ready to move forward again - big hugs to you!

babies - Has the shock worn off yet? You must be over the moon right now!! COGRATULATIONS again! :D I have read that a little spotting is normal, it could just be a reaction to the suppositories - hugs

michele - thanks! I'm putting my low E2 combat boots back on now
Is the little cutie's big birthday bash shaping up? cant wait for those pics!

julie - thanks! You know that its hormones making you feel like that
and men not getting it is yet another thing on the list of differences  I think they dont get the depth of emotions involed on this crazy roller coaster! Its ok vent to us, cry, jump for joy, we're here for it all!

rikirees - Sounds like you have lots of good follies! :D

sunny - I absolutely LOVE your attitude! You have such fab PMA!!! we treasure you around here!

cheeky - thanks for the PMA! you have loads of fun camping this weekend!

jamie - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :D

faith - thanks for the acc info. I still have my fingers crossed for your E2 suppression!

ladybug / marisen - Welcome! The more the merrier! m- good luck with your ET tomorrow!

babydust - Me too! Wishing you the best of luck - fingers crossed for your response on sun!

Gi - Where are you off to? holiday? more spa days? boy am I jealous! have a wonderful time ! Yes, please, we love the Kerry dust!

miyaya - So happy to hear that your surgery went well. Yes, it takes a mathematician to figure out all of this ivf planning, doesnt it?

Sorry if I missed anyone - you are all in my thoughts & prayers! xoxo

MY BFP

Post by jamie3777 »

Hey Guys

My cyclce was quite different than the rest of yours because I was doing a new program in Vegas at SIRM called Micro IVF. It has some restrictions. Anyways, when you are on the micro IVF you are on a very low dose of stims and I was only on the 75IU of Bravelle for 6 days. I had 1 follicle that was 22mm when we had the retrieval, the other follicles just were not mature enough to retrieve. With Micro IVF they only expect to get 1-5 at the most, so the dr was not disappointed in getting just the one. As it turns out, it was mature, fertilized perfectly and was a 8 cell grade 1 on day 3 that we did the transfer.

For those of you asking about my 2nd beta.....

beta #1 - 8dp3dt 48
beta #2 - 10dp3dt 179

Ladies,
I can't thank you all enough for being there to help me through a tough day yesterday (especially Rikirees, Babies Galore, gi, lw, and sunnygirl!!!!).

Maresen: good luck tomorrow. As you can tell these ladies will be there through all the ups and downs in this process. They are literally lifesavers for me and know you will find a lot of support here!

Marymeagan: I realize I missed your BFP!!! A very belated hug for you! congratulations!!!!!

Katie: how relieved are you, honey? So happy things are still moving along in your cycle..... Can you convert from LPN to RN online? I am an associates degree RN, but most hospitals in this city are going for "magnet status" so won't talk with you unless you have your Bachelor's. I was going to take classes online (Kaplan University) but that was before my "baby dream" became a "baby miniseries"......maybe next year.....

Babies Galore: I think ligt pink discharge is normal and caused by the progesterone. Also normal, as you reminded me yesterday: feeling like everything is NOT normal!!!!! I know how scared you are to believe this can be true.....but believe it, baby! YOU are PREGGERS!!!!

Fitz: Glad you are getting better care at a smaller clinic in CT. I find my clinic can be infuriating with getting in touch with my IVF nurse coordinator!

Jamie: your betas sound so good!!! It was so interesting to hear about your micro IVF success!!

Lw: I test on Monday 8/10. I am getting a little brown discharge tonight but choose to not think the worst. Today I plan to be "hopeful". How are you feeling? Has all this sunk in yet, mommy?

AFM: I went home after all your words of support and regrouped. I spent some time with DH NOTobsessing about this (for a change) . I realized that I have been through so much pain in this process (as we all have) that I had stoped myself from being even hopeful about a good outcome. I decided that what is going to happen will happen, and I still have my beloved DH and our marriage is strong. We will get through this! Today i am feeling positive and strong. As Sunnygirl said yesterday "we are not going to let ourselves get negative, non, no no!!!" Thank you all for helping me back off the ledge. I don't know what I would do without you all yesterday (I'm sure my DH appreciated you talking me down BEFORE I got home to hime last night!)

PMA to all!!!!!!!!!!!!

julie - OMG, I feel like a weight was lifted off of my shoulders! This whole infertility / ivf experience has been the hardest thing I've been through, and I havent had an easy life! So we tend to over analyze every little thing. BTW you have my dream job! The only clinical days in school that I was thrilled to be there were OR rotation, which of course drove me nuts, that an LPN cant work OR :? but we are in the same boat on the topic of licence advancement. I planned to "bridge" to RN online through Excelsior, thinking that will be perfect to not lose my skills while pregnant, then home with a little one. I had absolutely no idea that 1 year later, to the month actually I 'm still trying to GET pregnant. I was told when dx to not let this take over my life, and thought well, I'd never let that happen
Hmmm ... I believe it has now. kind of like getting sucked into a whirlpool At this point in the game I'd be happy enough to just work in a Dr's office
'baby miniseries" I love that!! Can you wait til Mon? its almost here now!!! - hugs & prayers

Hey Cressicaw,
Wow we are going though the exact some thing. I live in NY. I hope all went well with your ER. This is my 1st try and I'm so excited. I'm so scared of the PIO shots. Did your DH just do it in a dart like motion? Did you use any numbing cream or ice? Thats a great amount of eggs so did you only get 9 since it was 18 good ones? I pray I get enough great ones. I started Menopur and Follistim yesturday and I cant believe how much it burned. I literally cried. The shot wasnt bad i think it was the medication that burned like crazy. So Sun I go to get my E2 and ultrasound done. When do you go for your ET? I'm still learning about this whole process as I go. Take it easy for the next few days. I have faith everything will work this time around for you and your DH. Wishing you the best :)

Gi: thanks for being so kind. I'm so nervous. This is my 1st try and I pray everything goes well.

I started Menopur and Follistim yesturday it burned soooooo bad. Does anyone have the same issue? Im also on Lupron 5u.

I see alot of people have their history on the bottom after they write, how do I automatically make it come up everytime I write a message?

Thanks

Hello ladies,

rayofsunshine, I am so sorry that your cycle was cancelled. I know I would be frustrated. I don' t know if this is your first IVF, but I have heard people say that sometimes it can take your doctor a while to learn about your body, so let's hope for the future.

doglover, congrats on the ET and welcome to the 2ww!

lisa10, good luck on the ER and ET!

Welcome to Dillysgirl and ladybug. Marisen, good luck on the ET!

miyaya, glad the surgery went well.

sportsmom, good wishes for the FET!

ladybug, I use suppositories; DH had a bad experience with needles so he can't give me shots.

katie, congrats on not being cancelled! yay!

rikirees, good wishes for the ER!

Jamie, congrats on the great beta #s and it was interesting to learn about micro IVF!

faith and iamhopeful , congrats on starting stims!

cressica glad the ER went okay, hope you feel better.

lw, marymegan, and babies, CONGRATS ON THE BFPs!!! WOW! those betas are somethin else!

AFM, I have been on pins and needles all day waiting to hear about my Beta #2. It doesn't help that I have started reading books on pregnancy and they talk about all the things that can go wrong! :? So Beta #1 on Wednesday was 103 and Beta #2 today is 290. Whew!!!!!! Only, um, how many more days of worrying?

lw
, I think we had beta #1 at the same time, good wishes for your beta #2, I'm sure it'll be great!

All right, ladies, I am off to the Virgin Islands for a week of much-needed rest. I will send you loads and loads of PMA, sticky embie dust, and baby dust during that time!!!!!!!

Wow ladies, so much going on here!

liana- congrats on a good 2nd beta...and have fun in the virgin islands...I wish I was coming too!

ladybug- you can add your history to the bottom of your posts by going to the link up top that says profile. When you go to your profile, you will see a spot called signature. Type whatever you want there, and make sure you check the box that says add signature to every post, and it will be there.

faith- congrats on starting stims!

jamie- congrats on your bfp! So exciting to have so many bfp's here!

babies- if I counted right, you were 17dpo (or 12dp5dt). I analyzed your numbers, and yes, they are a little high, so high for a singleton but on the low end for twins. My guess is one, only because I have seen people with higher betas even earlier than this, and it turns out to be one...but it still could be two! I am happy for you either way! Oh, and spottin gis normal...I know, everyone hates to see it, but it is normal. If you are worried, or it gets heavy or red, call RE.

katie- the birthday bash is coming along just fine. I ordered the cake the other day, well, 2 cakes, one big one for the guests and a small little one all for ella. I got it in chocolate too so it will be extra messy and make for some good pics and video!

miyaya- glad surgery went well. Hope you can get going soon on your cycle

gi- yipee for 2.5 weeks off, that is awesome. Now you can get some much needed rest for those embies of yours.

Again, welcome to all our nebies, too many to keep up with right now, but if you want me to put you on the list, just post a message asking and with all your dates.

talk to you all again soon
