fitzjr11 wrote:Hello there, anyone have side effects of Lupron? I've been tired and moody- driving me nuts!!
Also- can you add me to the list on Lupron, should start stims 8/15 will know more on the 13th thanks!
I just went through this a few weeks ago. I was nuts. I was very angry and anxious and stupid. I made so many absent minded mistakes. I got lost going somewhere I have been before and lost money from the ATM. My DH actually considered taking me to the ER since he thought I was having a stroke. My ultrasound tech said it is normal. Once the follies start growing your estrogen goes up and levels off the effects of the Lupron. She said the staff jokes they can look out at the waiting room and tell who is on Lupron, by the blank stares on their faces. Hang in there. It does get better.

AFM...I did my ER on Saturday morning. We had 17 eggs, 16 viable and 13 fertilized. I am excited, but still nervous. We are doing PGD and I have heard that can decrease the numbers dramatically. Plus we would prefer to implant a male embryo since we have 2 daughters already. I also hope to freeze in case this doesn't work, because we can't afford another fresh cycle. I will know what we have Wednesday and have ET on Thursday.

Also, I have tons of cramping since the ER, but no bleeding. I have been on 300mg of progesterone vaginally since the day after ER. Is this normal? Does the progesterone cause cramping? The nurse made it sound like the cramping would not last past a day.

PGD is genetic testing. Since we had to do IVF anyway we decided to do the PGD to check for any issues, since we do have some medical issues in the family. It also will tell the genders of the ebryos. I beleive our RE will do it for gender selection alone also if you have more then one child of a gender already. It is one of the major clinics in Illinois.

wow - this board has so much going on! I just had to read 10 pages to catch up! Partly my fault - I was so cranky last wednesday when I got my message from my RE. I'll get to that...first, I'll attempt some personals, I apologize I know I won't nearly get all!

dogz - you are in my prayers! It is so hard to be given hope like that and then have it taken again...but we'll see how today goes. I know I was so frustrated when I had the chemical - it was so much easier to just be told "no, it didn't work" from the get go.

to all the BFP girls - Congrats! Congrats! Congrats! I hope all continues to go well! And good vibes for this board!

cheeky, beth and amanda - it's great to see your positive attitudes and that you still check in with us!

julienurse - ugh, i hope the bleeding isn't anything. I've had the same thing before my beta - but none of my HPTs came back positive at the same time. Maybe that means good things! I hope today is better than expected!

sunnygirl - loved the doggie comment! My "baby" is such a comfort to me when I'm doing all this! although I more worry about him stepping on my tummy when he's in bed with me and DH - he's still a little rowdy! I'm always amazed how much he wants to comfort me though when I cry. :)

katie99 - hang in there! If all keeps moving forward, that is good, right?

Dillys - awesome ER numbers!

lisa10 - great numbers too! I see you are in IL...chicago area? I'm in the northwest suburbs.

michele - you are great keeping up with all this even while being 'on hold'! I'm predicting...your numbers will be good this week, and we'll be FET buddies! :) Glad you could keep busy with little Ella's b-day! Can you put me on the list for FET on 8/31?

AFM - Arg. So I went in last wednesday for my baseline check, and I get my message which starts that everything looks good and I can get started...so do Lupron for another week (what? I almost screamed in my office) then start Estrace on 8/12. I know it's just a week and in the scheme of everything that is no big deal at all - it's just I kinda get set in when things will happen - it's just frustrating cause I think the only real reason is to make sure my cycle coordinates with the office schedule. And I really prefer the Lupron shots in the morning - it's such a pain to haul the kit around to do it at night, cause I definitely am not home in the evening all the time. Nothing more fun than being out on a Saturday night and having to sneak to the bathroom to do a shot! anyways, so start estrace 2 pills in the AM, 2 PM on 8/12, and decrease the Lupron to 5 units and move it to morning. Next check is 8/21. So far away!

Thanks to everyone for sharing here - it's so great to know I'm not alone in all this! Sticky dust and pma and lots of luv to all! :D

Hello Everyone!
I had a little improvement with u/s today. they said that the lining is now at 6.5 but has the "triple stripe" that they look for so I guess its maturing well. I had 1 follie at 16mm / 1 at 11/ 1 at 10 . I 'm disappointed but 3 is better than none, right? I'm just hoping that the 10 & 11 can catch up in time. please? I'm feeling ok, but waiting for the clinic to call w/ any changes. On a high note, since I'm still stressing being cancelled, or having nothing to go to ET with I asked the nurse whats the longest you could stim for, she said he just did a woman for 16 days, and now she is preg! Even if they only tell me these things for me to relax, it does make me feel better :D

dogz & julie - we are all here for you two! Hope that you are both ok - Still holding on for good news - xoxo

babies? any news yet?

dilly's girl - 31! Wow! hope you are feeling ok

amandamae - Multiple ivf's are so hard. it seems like DHs' just dont get the depth of our emotional roller coaster with this - its ok thats what we are here for!

tortilla - fingers are crossed for your beta tom!!

michele -I couldnt do it! I went in capri sweats, & when I walked in the nurse told me she was so happy I was in sweats ( apparently they use it a barometer as to who is getting close!) yeah, i thought it was weird too! How is Ella's poor sore gums today?

lisa10 - YAY 13 fert!! Thats awesome! fingers are crossed for your embie report!

ladybug - How's it going with you?

nicole - The endless waiting involved in ivf! Isnt it terrible? send you lots of patience dust!

penny - Its ok -we are a seriously chatty bunch! congrats on starting your stims! GL with thurs. b/w & u/s!!

OK same old thing - staring at the phone! Hurry up & call already! xoxo

Wow. This board is really moving. So hard to keep up now. I just got my infamous call and my beta is going up nicely and its at 4689 today. What do u ladies think? could this mean multiples or is this normal. I never had such high beta before. My beta on thursday was 947 or is this right for today. So confused with all this beta stuff. I go back on wednesday for the third check.

Katie: Yippe for that lining. so glad that things are finally moving. 3 is great. All u need is one good embie. Wishing the best for u. When do u go back next?

Dogz/Julie: U ladies are in my thoughts and prayers.

Tortillachip: congrats on the hpt. Can't wait to hear your beta.

Sunny: hang in there. the time is almost here. Sending u loads of positive vibes.

ladybug: good luck on your results tomorrow.

amandamae: yah that sound like a positive to me. When do u go for u're beta?

Michelle: good luck on the check. it's on wed right? will be thinking of u and saying loads of prayers that your e2 level is finally at the right levels.

lisa: 13 is fantastic and yes i think 300mg of progesterone supp is normal. that is what i was on until i got my first beta and now down to 200. Cramping is also normal.

Well I am finally in the 2WW!!!!!!!!

The ET went well and we got a picture of our little embies.

They both were grade double A today and were 8 celled, doc said we couldn't ask for anything better. He gave us a 65% success rate but I am praying and praying.

I am so glad they are home now and I feel so good to have gotten to this point.

Baby dust, prayers and sticky thoughts to all. Thank you so much for all your support through this!

Lisa- We are almost on the same cycle, I had ER on Sunday. I am also having major cramping since, though I am only on 50mg PIO.

AFM- As of this morning 14 of my eggs are for sure fertilized normally, 3 were abnormal and discarded and 11 are "being monitored'. I am looking forward to my acupuncture appt. tomorrow as hopefully it can help me some with my pain.

Good luck and baby dust to all! Thanks for the support!

Hi Lisa.... I am not on this board, but I saw that you are going to a clinic here in IL. I am doing an FET in Sept and if it fails I will be changing clinics. I currently go to an Oak Brook, IL clinic but I already had 2 failed attempts. If possible can you let me know so that I mar research JIC. Also, ER is painful, I dont care what the REs say. I was uncomfortable for at least a week on each one. SO I am wondering if the pain caused stress on my body that kept m y embryos from sticking at ET. I hope your embies do well, and I wish u good luck!!!

ALso to all of the ladies good luck and congrats to those who have gotten their BFPs.

Hello Ladies,
So I just got my results back from my bw/us today, and my estrogen level is @ 859 (i hope thats good for 5 days on stim), yesturday it was 533 and my dr said for me to do my regular 5u Lurpon, and to do 75u of menopur and NO Follistim and I have to go back tomorrow again for bw/us. My right ovary the lady said is loaded with follicles over 11 and my left must be sleeping because it has maybe around 4 or 5 and she said thats completley normal. I got a little worried why my left wasnt producing much. I just pray everything goes well because I am a shared donor so I only get half of my eggs and I hope I get enough :( Im very sore from these shots and feel bloated and sore from all these follicles. My biggest follicle is around 14mm so they need to grow so more.

Dillysgirl: Fertilizing dust to you. That is great.

Cressicaw: Congrats I'm soooo happy for you. I have a good feeling about them sticking and will keep you in my prayers 65% is still a great percent and they are grade A so I think they found their new home(your tummy) :D Sticky thoughts to you. Are you on PIO shot, or suppositories?

Thx Babie galore: Im not an expert and just as confused as you when it comes to beta #'s but that went up alot so my guess would be multiples. GL on wed.

Katie99: 3 is great, you only need 1 great 1, you still have time for the follies to grow, so try not to worry to much.

To everyone else you are all in my prayers, and this is not a fun or easy journey so we just have to stick together.

Will keep you posted on my bw/us tomorrow

hey ladies

Babies what a fab beta number those numbers could definately mean multiples or a very strong singleton baby. On my Bfp i had really strong high numbers at the start where even i thought there were two but we had a healthy girl. So beta numbers differ from person to person. HI all-

JulieNurse-any news?

Lisa and Nicole-I'm in Chicago as well. I live in the city and work in the NW Burbs :)

Babiesgalore-I'm thinking you will be having babies galore!

AFM-I went in today after my first 3 days of stims. My lining is 8.5 with 5 lines, which the nurse said is great. I had 6 follies measuring between 7 and 10 and alot of other smaller ones. My E2 isn't as high as they like (92), so they are upping my Menour to 225 for the next two nights and I go back on Wed. The nurse thinks I will stim for 9 days, having my ER on 8/18 with a 8/23 goal for a 5 day ET. I know this can all change, but so far so good!

Prayers and PMA to everyone!

Faith
