Hi ladies,
Sorry to crash your thread but I have been reading with great interest. I'm hoping you have room for one more in that boat.

I had a 3 day transfer on 07/30 and on the 9th day after transfer I started having bright red blood when I wiped. My DH tried to give me hope but on the same day in my last cycle I started spotting and had full flow by the next day so I figured I was headed down the same path. I was less than impressed with the nurses putting me off for days trying to give me hope last time, so I decided to wait to call the clinic until I had full flow on Sunday, but it was only almost like spotting by Sunday and still bright red. I didn't call the clinic until Monday and the nurse agreed that the bright red was not a good sign and let me go for my blood test on Monday. I wasn't supposed to have it until Wednesday and they don't call with results 'til next day so I'm expecting a call sometime this morning with yesterday's results.

So anyway, I woke up at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep. I thought maybe if I took a HPT I would know for certain and could get back to sleep. Well WTF... it's the first positive HPT I've ever had in 9 years of TTC. I really can't get back to sleep now (it's 3:30 here). I feel a little less sad now, but heartbroken at the same time. I still have bright red blood and can't imagine this having a good outcome. And I'm confused about what this might mean for the future, does it mean that I could get pregnant one day?

So, long story short... I can really identify with where you guys were a few days ago. I hope we all get some good news, even if some of us have to wait and try again to get it.

Kim - I too have been following this one for the same reasons as you. I started spotting yesterday and it is on and off brown, marroon and not bright red. It goes from nothing to alot to nothing!

I called the clinic and they said either way and to go in tomorrow for my beta instead of Thursday. I am 12po and 7dp5dt. I didn't poas this time. After reading your post I think I may.

Please write back to let me know how you make out with your beta today! Good luck - I will say a prayer :D

Hi Kim and Anissa -

I definitely know how you are feeling, as I was in a panic last Thursday. I had pretty much given up hope, but the two nurses I spoke to reassured me bleeding is common with IVF pregnancies. A third nurse said the same when I went in 2 days early for my beta on Friday ... it came back positive, at 220. I still had some bleeding on Friday and then spotting Saturday and Sunday. I went back for beta #2 yesterday and it had jumped to 1127. My nurse was very pleased with the number and I go back Monday for an u/s. I am still have some spotting.

My advice is to try and remind yourselves it is common, I say try because I try it myself and still freak when I see it. I didn't have any HPTs when I started bleeding as I told myself if I did it I would wait until the day before ... I was very close to asking DH to run out and get one, but I didn't.

You are both in my thoughts ... please keep us updated.

Hopeful Thank you so much for you very reassuring response. Unfortunately, my bleeding has increased and is much heavier and mostly bright red
I am trying hard to stay positive by telling myself that I had OHSS and have been taking Lovenox (blood thinner) and that is why I am bleeding so much! Wishful thinking, huh? I also told myself due to my estadial being so high the lining is extra thick and is now shedding due to my embie implanting! But ur right, it is so depressing every time I go to the restroom.

Congratulations on you great betas!! I am sooo happy for you.

Julie Nurse Where are you? I am so anxious to hear how u made out with you beta. I hope u are ok!

Kimbob I am anxiously awaiting to hear your results. I think u are BFP :D :D

Thanks for listening and sending me PMA!!!

Anissa - Have you called your clinic and told them you are bleeding? When I called last Thursday they had me stop the aspirin, so the Lovenox may be the reason???

Anissa I have my fingers crossed for you. Like hopeful said, call your clinic, maybe it's not just wishful thinking!

Hopeful thanks for the advice. Although I have to agree that it is way easier said than done!

Thank you both for your well wishes.

Well, now I'm back to crying, but this time it's some cautious tears of joy. While I know full well that it could change, I am for the time being, and for the first time ever, pregnant! The nurse said my beta was 135 (is that ok for 11dp3dt?) and to take it easy and just wait. She said to call if it gets any worse, but otherwise I have to wait for next Monday for my next beta, and if it shows a healthy increase then I will have my u/s on the following Monday. I was less than pleased to hear that I have more waiting to do, but I now have some hope that the wait will be worth it!

I hope that Julie and Anissa get the same good news soon!
Keep us posted, ladies.

CONGRATULATIONS KIM!!! I think anything over 100 is good, so cry those tears of joy!

IVF is quite the waiting game ... wait to start the cycle, wait for ER, ET and then 2ww, then the u/s. My advice is to follow the nurse's advice and take it easy. This has been very difficult for me, as I am a runner, normally run 4-5 miles 6 days a week but I know it is all for a good cause.

Hoping to hear good results from Tortilla, Anissa, and Julie soon!

Kimbob CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is a great beta number. I am so excited for you. I belong to the july/august thread too. It is a very busy board but has alot of great ladies and a load of BFP!

Hopeful I did call the clinic back and asked if I could stop taking the lovenox injections, and she said as long as I don't have the problems of the OHSS then I could stop. But if they come back I needed to do the injections again. They will only come back if I am pregnant!!! Go figure. I also am taking the baby aspirin.

Well the bleeding is settling down some but still red. I am going in tomorrow morning for my beta so I should hear something by afternoon. I broke down and bought a hpt and it was negative :( I still am trying to hold out some hope and because of you ladies, I REALLY DO HAVE SOME! So THANK YOU!

Torilla posted on the other thread and she got a BFP today. Beta was like 207! JulieNurse is usually on the other thread too but she hasn't posted in a while. I hope she is ok.

Thank you ladies again. Today has been very rough and you both have made it better.

Tortilla, Congratulations! You must be on cloud 9!

Anissa, you are only 7 days past the transfer, I think it is still to early to get a positive on a HPT. I think someone asked Ghost that question a day or two ago and he said it was early, so keep that PMA going and know we are here for you! Actually, you might try asking Ghost his opinion if the lovenox could be causing you to bleed a little more due to implantation?

Sending baby dust to everyone!

Hopeful You are wonderful :D Thank you so much for trying to keep me positive and looking to the bright side! Unfortunately for me, I received another BFN today  I am ok though. Cried all day long. I went for my Beta early before work and as the woman was drawn my blood I was crying like a baby! Anyway - the office said there is no reason just it didn't work. Even though everything was perfect?!!! I truley believe everything happens for a reason and totally preach to everyone about that but it doesn't make it any easier! I am very fortunate already to be blessed with 2 beautiful children! I just wanted to have a biological child with my DH and I just wonder if it will ever work?

I am thinking of doing a FET next cycle! I have 6 embies frozen. I have come this far - I can't stop now.

I thank you so very much for your support. I will continue to follow U though - Hope all is well and Congratulations again on your BFP - I wish U a healthy and happy pregnancy and baby!

Kimbob - Thank you too! I will be watching and checking in on you too. I wish u a healthy and happy pregnancy and baby too!!

Anissa - I am sorry to hear that it did not work this time, I'm so sorry  Give yourself time to get over this and then focus on the FET. You are correct, everything does happen for a reason. When we didn't get a heartbeat at 6 weeks on our 2nd try I was so upset, but my Sister-in-Law told me that is when the heart is forming and more than likely there was something wrong with the heart and my body realized it and stopped the pregnancy. (She's a pediatric cardiologist)

Having 6 frozen is awesome! One of my doctors told me FET's are easier on your body as you don't have to go through the stimulation and surgery of a ER. I'll bet 3rd time is a charm for you!

Have you tried acupuncture on either of your cycles? I didn't for my first 3 but my new doctor said research really shows it helps and my beta numbers are really high, so I'm now a believer. My insurance doesn't pay for any of it, so we are barely staying afloat but I know it will all be worth it in the end.

Keep me updated so I can follow you and help you keep up the PMA on your FET. You are still young, so keep that chin up ... it will happen for you!

Sending hugs.

Hopeful Thank you. I am so sorry for your loss. I think your sister in law was right. I'm glad it worked out for you this time. You truly are amazing and your baby is very lucky to have you. I haven't tried acupuncture but my Re suggested it. Was this the first cycle you did acupuncture? If so, I am with you, I will try anything if it helps. To tell u the truth the only reason I'm thinking of trying again so soon is because it is a FET and not a fresh cycle. Also, I live 2 1/2 hrs on way from my clinic in Northern NY and don't want to drive in the winter months back in forth for appts. So I only have a couple more cycles before winter hits.

Are you still spotting? I can't wait to hear how your u/s goes. Your betas numbers sound really good and high. Keep me posted! Sending U ((hugs))

Anissa - I'm glad you are looking ahead to your FET. Yes, this is the first time I've done acupuncture. Because we are paying out of pocket and my last doctor never mentioned it I figured it wasn't worth the additional money. My current doctor told me research shows it does help and suggested I try it. I'm really glad I did, I look forward to going each week, it is sooo relaxing. I am still spotting, but trying to remember it is common. I hate to see it, but trying to keep a PMA with my strong beta numbers.

Keep me updated as to when you decide to do the FET. :D

Hopeful I love your name! Try not to worry about the spotting. I did alot research before my BFN and it is more common for women going through IVF but also in natural pregnancies too. It is completely normal and your beta numbers are great! I really think I will do the acupuncture this time. How often did you go? I figured that I have come this far, I am not giving up now!! We are going to try our very next cycle. the Re said that we could call with my next menstral cycle and they will do the baseline and u/s.

I will keep you posted!
