CYCLE BUDDY DAY 1 AUG 3??

Hi Ladies,
I had a doctor's appointment today, but won't get the bloodwork results until this afternoon. I'm on day 5 of stims and it looks like I have about 7-8 follicles on each side. One is a 10, but most of the rest are 8's and below. Does this sound normal?

Fitz- one more day until bloodwork, are you excited? I get super excited about my appointments for some reason, even if it's just a check up. I feel like progress has been made or something, ya know?

mjay- Yeah, I have no idea what the menopur is for, I just take it. Sounds like our meds are pretty similar though.

Miner- Thanks for the support there. I was worried about it all day. I called my mom finally and she told me that I probably just hit a capillary. It's probably true because I bruised almost immediately. 3 days and counting until you start your stims! I felt the same way last week when I had a few days left.

ladybug- i'm glad you checked this board and hope you continue to! I don't really go on the July/August board, I like the smaller scene . Okay, so do you remember what your follicle sizes were the first day you went? I just want something to compare mine to while I anxiously await my phone call

JG- It sounds like you are reacting well to the stim meds. Congrats!!! Your sizes sound good to me. How much of the Gonal are you taking? Have they said if they will increase or decrease your dose? And did they say when your estimated date of retrieval will be? Sorry for all the questions. I am just really excited for you!!! Grow eggs Grow!

Miner- I just got my results. They told me to keep taking the same amounts of meds (no increase or decrease) and they told me to come back on saturday for another check. I think I have 17 follicles total (all pretty small still) and my E2 level is 160. They seem to think that everything is coming along just fine, so I'll go with that, but I feel like the numbers are all really low. They didn't give me any indication when the retrieval would be on the message. When I originally met with the nurse before the whole process, she said she was 90% sure that my retrieval would be next week, factoring in when I would start the meds, etc. I don't know if that still stands, but i'm assuming that it's going to be later in the week because these follies still have some growin to do!

Yes, looking forward to dr appt tomorrow, what is nice is DH is on vacation so we've been doing day trips- tomorrow's apt just gives us an excuse to get up early do dr appt then go travelling again. I am a teacher, so looking forward to having everything done before school starts- nice when things fall into place!

The first time I went was I believe on day 4 of stims and my biggest follicle measured 14, and they said they like it to get to around 20, they didnt tell me yesturday how big it was but today they said my follicles r 19 so im stimming for 1 more day then i have my ER on Sat. Im sooo excited. Also my estrogen level was 533 on stim day 4, 859 on day 5, 1461 on day 6 and today it was 2423. I dont know what that all means but I hope its good. But I have some small ones also I have about 16 follicles total. My left ovary is sleeping because I have like 3 or 4 on that side and the right side is having the party with all the follicles. I have another dr appt tomorrow morning, 5 days in a row. Hope this helps. Im freaking out about my HCG shot and PIO's

Thanks ladybug, that does help. I'm a little worried that my e2 level isn't higher, but maybe it just took me a little longer to respond to the meds? I go back on Saturday for another checkup, so i'm going to be massaging my ovaries and tellin those follies to grow . When I was on Clomid, my e2 level was super low, like in the 40's, so I know that at least i'm responding, even if it's a little behind.

fitz- i'm jealous of your summer. I work at a college, so I get Friday's off in the summer, but that ended last week, so today's my first 5 day work week in 3 months. Next week, when the estimate the retrieval will be, we have our busiest week of the year with final registration, so i'm super worried about taking the time off.

miner- i'm taking 150 iu's of Gonal. Did you get the green light to start your stims on Sat? Try not to worry about the retrieval, from what i've heard, you're sound asleep and you don't feel a thing. Just relax and take advantage of your dh waiting on you hand and foot .

Dont worry to much. Everyone responds differently and if your RE thinks your doing fine then your doing great. Im doing the Grow Follies Grow dance for you. I went to the dr today and they said my follies r ready and Sat is the Big day. So i'm just waiting for the call to say what time I take my HCG shot My ovaries are swollen, I can feel the lump and every ultrasound is the worst b/c im soooo sore. Cant wait to get these follies out. You will do great. GL on Sat. I go back tomorrow to the dr so I will keep you posted. GROW FOLLIES GROW

ladybug- good luck on Saturday! I'm sorry, I was all caught up in overanalyzing my numbers to say that earlier! Don't worry about the HCG, instead think of a reward to give yourself afterward. You deserve it, so do something nice for yourself.

Miner- How exciting! I am exactly one week ahead of you with the stims, so I'll keep you posted on everything so you know what to expect.

Had dr appt today, all set to start stims sat w/ retrival 10-12 days after he said all looks good and there are lots of follicles there ready to grow!

AFM- Just waiting for tomorrow's doctor appointment. Since i won't get the results until later that afternoon, i'm getting my hair cut and highlighted to kill some time and spoil myself. I figured I might as well get it highlighted now, because hopefully it'll be a long time before I have to do it again . DH and I are taking it easy this weekend again and trying to lay low.

ladybug- good luck with the ER. b sure to tell us how it went. why is your u/s painful? do they do transvaginal?

ftizjr & miner- great news on starting stims on sat! i'm sure you'll have lots of follies.

jg- no worries about E2 level! you will get where you need to be asap! also, 4get about worrying about missing work at the beginning of the school year. you have to do what you have to do. they'll understand. i have my internship orientation next week, and i'm trying to think of excuses now on why i have to miss a day in case i have to do ER. who cares? we have to worry about us right now! are you sore at all? i swear i can feel my ovaries, but i'm not really sore.

afm, just came from bw and u/s after 4 days of follistim. the tech said i have a lot of follicles growing, but i have no idea of the size or my E2 level yet. my clinic is closed on sat and sun, so i might have to go downtown this weekend to continue being monitored. so i'll have to fight the air show traffic. btw, i haven't asked about any of my numbers b/c i feel like that's just one more think i'll obsess over. should i be getting more info from the nurse?

mjay- If you know that you will obsess I would not ask. I am very similiar to you in this aspect and my DH and Dr have learned that less is more with me. If there is cause for concern I am sure they will let you know.

Ladybug-- GL with your ET.. Let us know how it goes..

JG- mjay is right. You need and deserve to focus on yourself right now. Don't feel guilty about this. I just found out that my father is having a wedding reception for himself and his new wife on Sat. Along with the short notice and the two hour drive involved I had to put my foot down and say that I need to focus on myself right now. I am really sad that I am going to miss it but I have to look at the bigger picture. (giving him grandchildren ) LOL. No but I am sure you get my point.

AFM- I am taking it easy this weekend. Probably going to get a massage and go to the movies. I start stims this weekend. I am getting really anxious to get this show on the road.
