Shelby - so far the lupron isn't too bad (but only one day down)! I don't mind doing the injections but my last cycle (before it was canceled) i was getting nasty headaches. I didn't have them during my very first cycle so hopefully I won't this time either. I can't wait to see all our BFP's on the list!!! I love your PMA by the way and it is contagious! I love that you went scuba diving yesterday! My dh has a Harley and I have been trying to get as much with him in as possible before September.

Jen - the romantic weekend sounds like a great time! I hope you enjoy yourselves! I think it's important to still remember to share 'intimate' experiences through all the since fertility treatment kinda takes away the romance!

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the title of this thread? I'd like to add make it a Sept/Oct. cycling friends!

So, AF is two days late. The waiting is driving me mad. I'm usually so very regular, it's starting to freak me out a bit, too. It's a bit like going to bed, thinking that Christmas is tomorrow morning, but waking up and finding out you have to wait another day to open presents. Sometimes I think someone upstairs is having a good laugh at my expense.

On second thought, what a weird thought -- equating AF to a Christmas present. This used to be a bad thing. I guess if this doesn't go well, it will be a bad thing once again. Oh the irony of it all.

Hello ladies,
Am I in the Sept cycle club? I hope I'm in the right place. I'm still learning my way through this message board.
DH and I are in our very first IVF cycle. We're both 33 years old, and I have PCOS, hence IVF. We have been trying naturally for the last 5 years with no success. Clomid did not work either. We're very excited and anxious to get this rolling, at the same time we're nervous and scared...there's lots of what if's right now, plus we're having to pay OOP for the entire thing, we're so afraid of having our hearts crushed with no result. We wont be able to afford to go through another one for at least a year, so we're really hoping and praying that we may be lucky our first time! So anyway, crossing my fingers that this will all be going well.
So, I'm on BCP now, and I start Lupron on 8/20 and Gonal-F on 9/01. My retrieval and transfer would be around week of 9/14 if everything goes well.
Well, reading everyone's story, I'm so glad there's a support system around here. I didnt know that there are so many Sept cycles!!!
It's nice to know everyone!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE!

Stats - That is cool that we are both going to TN clinics. DH and I stayed @ the Opryland Hotel a few years ago and loved it! It was a little weekend getaway type thing.

JenNJ - I hope you don't have to hound them, but this is focus of our lives right now and they have to understand that we need to know EVERYTHING and RIGHT NOW! LOL! Have fun on your trip! Where exactly are the Poconos???

Wolffie - When I met DH he had a Sportster. After we had been together for a few months (and gone on a few BUMPY rides), he bought a Heritage Softail with a tall backrest. LOVED IT! But we got so busy and his oldest wanted to come live with us, so we sold it and bought a fifth wheel camper so the whole family could go on the trips with us. And I totally agree with spending quality time with each other. Before we started the first cycle, DH and I took a couple of weekends and just spent them alone. It was very nice! Out of all the things that DH and I do, scuba diving is my fav! We dive @ the local aquarium as volunteers once a month to help feed the fish and clean the tanks. DH thinks it's too much work, but I love it :D

Sangria - You are funny! That was a great analogy. I know it stinks. It will happen soon. I am dancing for you :D

Shoebox - Awesome that you are here! I love that this thread keeps growing! I totally understand about paying OOP for the cycles. We just paid for our 2nd one today! It hurts! :? You have all the support of all the ladies here that your first try will be successful! I expect to put nothing but BFPs on the list for this vivacious group of females! I've already added you to the list so please pull up a seat and stay for a while. We've got a lot of joyous news coming our way  :o

Have a great evening!

Hi Girls,

wolffie- I so agree with you to still share intimate moments. Sometimes I have to stop myself from having IVF be all I think and talk about and take a break! I hope you have lots of great weather for the rest of Aug to ride Harley with DH.

shelbyrn0214- I am sure the clinic is used to people like me who want to know everything right now! The Poconos are in Pennsylvania, we are in NJ so not to far away. The scuba diving sounds like so much fun! It must be great feeding the fish!

shoebox4 - Welcome!! We are also paying OOP and it is a bit scary. We don't know how many cycles we will be able to afford, would be wonderful if it happens 1st try.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Newbie here - so please bare with me!

This will be our first IVF cycle. We had our class on Tuesday and I came away from that scared to death. Not only of all the needles but of the fact that there is so much to remember I am worried I will forget something or do something wrong and screw the whole process up. Right now we are waiting on my period to start BCPs. It should be here around the 24th.

Maybe this isn't even the place for me to post. If so sorry!!!

Thank you! I love reading on here about everyone and am learning so much.

karling: WELCOME! as shelby said, you are in the right place. don't worry about remembering everything. jsut it take it one injection at a time. does your clinic have an online video? i watched mine about 5 times in order to get it right. iti s scary and overwhelming at first, but you'll be a pro in no time. that was the advice i was given from the fabulous ladies on this thread and they were absolutely right. ask as many questions as you need to. good luck!

I had to take notes in order to catch up on personals!

Neffi- sorry about your delay...but I will probably be in october too, or november, or december...who knows at this point, but we will get there girl!

prayin- so good to see you again, I know we have cycled together at least once, and I do hope this is your time.

wolffie- RE has no idea why I won;t suppress. They said I am giving them a run for their money. It is so frustrating, but hopefully will happen soon.

Shelby- I do not think there is a way to change a thread title. I have tried in the past and had to start a whole new thread instead. I will stick around, and if I get delayed past september, I will start an october/november thread.

Jen- have fun at the poconos! DH and I go there every year, that's where we went for a short honeymoon because we were in semester when we got married. Now we go back for every anniversary, except last year we went in april instead of october because we had Ella in august, but as my wedding anniversary is creeping up again, I am starting to wonder who can watch ella for a weekend so maybe we can go?? Gosh I love it there!

Sangria- I am doin the af dance for you! It's funny you call it a christmas present, the first time I got my period, I think I was 14 and it was christmas eve. I called my mom and she said, "Merry Christmas." So now I equate af with christmas anyway.

shoebox and karling- welcome, you have found an awesome place to share and learn. I know you will enjoy it here.

Nothing new for me...just waiting to supress...sigh...the clinic did tell me I have another option, which is to take a depoprovera shot, which is like one big dose of lupron so I wouldn't have to take a shot every day, but they said then I would have to wait 4 weeks to check for supression. I told them I don't care if I have to do 10 shots a day, I want to do whatever will get me there quicker, which we are hoping is lupron...so for now, I continue to be lupron pin cushion!
