Tortilla- I live waaaaay north of you. About 2 hours north of Sacramento in Chico. (2 hours away from the clinic too, which sucks!)

Lady- I felt terrible and couldnt walk straight for like 3 days after ER, but I must say I feel wonderful after ET. It will get better, get lots of good rest! Sending lots of fertilizing dust your way!!

It's good to be back =)

Had a rough patch . . .

Got my first BFN and then my dad passed away :(

talk about double-whammy! Ugh!

One of the last things he told me was that if we delayed our second IVF attempt because of him, he would be pissed! :)

I figure I'm due some good karma now =) And I got the best angel helping the cause :D

Stims start tonight . . . Follistim, Menopur, and Omnitrope . . .

Wish me luck =)

cramps & back pain - feel like AF - help!

Post by mlorfei »

Hello all,

I'm at the tail end of my second IVF cycle (9 days past embryo retrieval) and unlike my first cycle; I really haven’t had such symptoms during this 2WW. Occasionally I’d feel a very small cramp here and there but that was it. This afternoon I noticed my lower abdomen felt very heavy and now I have pretty bad cramps and back pain, as if I were to get my AF. I took a HPT and it very quickly turned negative. I’m having a hard time convincing myself that this is not another failed attempt – that there is still hope. Has anyone experienced strong AF symptoms and still got a BFP?

hi girls,

i have been missing for last few days as feeling very nausaus from the meds but it will be worth it!!!

dogzrule i am delighted for you, hopefully you are a bit more at ease and starting to enjoy been pregnant.

tortillachip: congrats on beta!!! You can breath a sigh of relief

ladbug09 19 eggs wow!! great news for you and donor fingers crossed they all fertilize xxx

mlorfei: when was transfer?? could be still too early for a positive, lots of girls get strong AF cramps before bfp it could be the progesterone. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hi to all i have missed, those in 2ww keep up PMA, those who got a bfn keep fighting girls it will happen you have to stay strong, and those with bfp enjoy every single precious moment xxx

Wow...I am so far behind, I can't even attempt to catch up. When I see something I want to respond to, I'm too late.

So the wedding was nice. I sat a lot! I was the party pooper! But oh well. The only thing I did not like was having to do one of those jumping bridal party shots...over and over. I hardly jumped each time, so DH said he thinks that's why we had to do so many. But I was like, OK the last thing I need to do right now is jump. Mostly I sat or stood on the dance floor and moved my arms. But when things got more crazy at the end of the evening I stayed away so I wouldn't get an arm to the stomach. Saturday I just slept and laid around all day. Although I tried to relax as much as possible, I am nervous because I still had to do things. But I figured in a standard pregnacy...you know one where you actually get to have sex to concieve...it's not like you lay around for days. You go about life and it happens. So as long as I didn't do anything crazy, which I didn't, I feel OK about not laying around for 2 days.
The funniest part is that I have been crying now for 2 days thinking about sweet things from the wedding since I am so pumped full of hormones.

Ct- can you put me in the 2ww category?
Good luck to you all. I am thinking of all of you!

hi gi,

thanks for responding. i had a 3 day transfer Auguust 9th - exactly a week ago. during my first 2ww, i had cramping throughout the entire too weeks but this time around, i've had little to none. it just started really strong last night along with the back pain. In the middle of the night, the pain was centered on my right side and now the cramps are gone but the back pain remains a bit. i'm so confused. :?

mlorfei - as you are only 7days past 3dt its way to early for a positive pregnancy!! You wouldnt be producing enough hcg at this stage to be picked up the earliest i have seen on these threads is 8dp3dt and even then its not very often i would def. recommend waiting another few days. Cramping and back pain is very normal so you go relax girl you are still PUPO!!!

Lisa glad you enjoyed the wedding and putting your feet up now, you are right most women dont have bed rest when trying to conceive and works out fine.

Katie99 i dont mind the nausaus too much it prob. means something is happening!! hope you are having a great wkend xxx

gi xx
