Has anyone had difficult embryo transfer??? The reason I am asking this is, after my last ET I had extreme cramping the night of ET...It was so bad that it was 3x to 4x of menstrual cramps....it was horrible. So then after b/w found out that it was negative. For this my RE said it was a difficult ET where even though they had known the right angle for ET during mock transfer..sometimes it might go wrong during the day of real transfer. So was wondering if anyone had gone thro something like this..also my RE said that the next cycle they would make sure to do an u/s guided transfer and also stitch the cervix to make sure that there wasnt any sharp edges on the uterus and it would make it easy for the tube to go inside the uterus....hmmm ...i know this is all too much info.....but once again thanks for ur patience in reading my post and replying for it....
Hi there. yes I have had two difficult transfers both NEGATIVE ! The second one my hubby of course was there and he said there was blood on all the catherers. TMI_ SORRY.. but I have read that difficult transfers are not good.. I"m hoping to do another transfer Monday so I'm very anxious that this one will go smoother. I complained to my RE and she had me come in for a Mock transfer before my retrieval so they could see where the angle or bend is ... i 'm hoping this works. I really didnt give much advice sorry accept maybe asking for a mock transfer which is like a trial run for the RE's to see which path they'll take for the catheter.. GoodLuck to you.
Thanks for starting this thread, I planned to ask Ghost about this issue.
I had two ICSI and in both cases it was a difficult transfer, and BFN in each case. I think I agree with HollyB, that one should suggest to these Doctors to do a trial transfer before the ET Day itself. We just cannot leave any stone unturned.
Best of Luck to us all next time.
