Hey ladies,
Just wanted to keep you posted, feeling a little better today but i have great news. I got 9 eggs out of my 19 b/c I donated. Of my 9, 8 were mature and 6 fertilized. They said they are growing very well. They will call me tomorrow and let me know if I will have a day 3 transfer or day 5 transfer. Is it a good chance of getting pregnant with a transfer day 3? They told me dont get discouraged because a day 3 isnt bad but i'm a little worried. They said a day 5 transfer is the best. We'll see what they say. I will catch on personals later just been so tired and a little crampy. I pray my babies fertilize away and I hope I have left to freeze.

Thx for all the love and support. Will catch up with you all later.
Thinking of you all.

ladybug - that is so great, I am very happy for you. We weren't as lucky, out of 10 only 6 were mature and of that only 2 fertilized (thank God they were both graded A) but doctor recommened 3 day transfer (from that I only got a 65% success rate; whereas, if I did 5dt he was giving me 71%).

Good afternoon everyone,

Things finally got a little better today. Lead follies are 12-13 and we have about 10 growing. E2 went from 252 up to 767! They think I'll possibly be triggering Wed, with retreival Friday. Finally some positive steps! I did go to accupunture yesterday and asked him to some follicle stimulating points. I'm sure the increase in Menopur helped, but I'm thinking the acupuncture did also.

Hugs and sticky baby dust to all with a side of the grow follies dance for good measure :)

Faith

Hey ladies,
Im concerned, if I do a day 3 transfer that means I would have been on progesterone for 2 days, is that enough time for my uterus to get prepared for the embies so they can stick? Also i start PIO shots tonight but it would be better if I do them in the mornings, if I do it tonight and then start again tomorrow morning is that ok or do I have to do it the same time every day?

Thx cressicaw

ladybug - you need to do them around the same time everyday, so you cannot do one tonight if you are going to do one in the morning. Also, it needs to be done at least one hour prior to bedtime.

Hi ladybug09,

I understand that when one has their retrieval (or when an egg is released naturally), the body automatically begins to release progesterone to support the lining of the uterus. The additional progesterone (injection or inserts) IVF patients takes is intended to support that natural effort. That is what I've been told but I'm not an expert.

Hope this helps.

faint positive poas??!!

Post by sportsmom »

Hello all! I am 6dp 5d FET today and took a dollar tree HPT. There was a very, very, faint line. Could it be a possible positive? I am so excited but cautious too. Anyone have a faint positive that early and end up with a strong beta? I'm really freaking out.

Sportsmom- I had gotten a dollar tree hpt and got a faint positive line 5dp 5d fet..... I had a beta last thursday of 453 so I think that it could be possible.... I knowthat I asked my re and they said it was too early and told me I should not test until 2-3 days before the beta.... But...... 6 hpts later it was still pos..... I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts but I think that it may just be positive but I do understand remaining cautious I know I did till I got the actual beta results... Try to stay busy easier said then done!

amandamae- your 1st beta was 453? that's awesome! how many dpt were you? My beta is this Friday (10dpt). I've been talking to my embabies and telling them that they have their 1st test on Friday and need to score at least 200.

I am sure you will get a good number... I talked to my embabies too while I waited.... I know that it seems that it takes forever to get here.... I tried to stay busy but it did not work. I was addicted to the hpts  but oh well.... It happens... I wish you lots of sticky baby dust!!

amanda - can't wait to hear you 2nd beta number!!!

sportsmom - I refused to take an HPT because I was terrified, but it sounds like things are looking great for you! I'm sure Friday seems forever away, but it'll be here before you know it.

ladybug - how did you PIO shot go???

AFM - Turns out I have developed an allergic reaction to the PIO injection and was taken off immediately. I am now on the suppositories twice a day. I'm a little upset because it feels like the injection is superior, but I have no choice. The doctor said I could have gone into respiratory failure! Other than that and a little morning sickness, everything seems to be going well. :D
