Welcome Clemo and Chris! All the best with your upcoming cycles! We are on quite a wonderful BFP wave here so pick up some sticky baby dust and I look forward to following your journeys.

Clemo - enjoy your holiday!!!!!

JDC - Best of luck with your transfer today!! Is your sister still visiting you? Take good care of yourself over the next 2 weeks!

gigi - thanks for opening up a really good discussion. Your cycle must also be just around the corner, right?

stef - looking forward to hearing your beta results on Wednesday! Great that you've been testing positive for the last 3 days -- A great feeling, isn't it?

Hopeful - congrats on twins!! When is your next scan? Happy to hear that the bleeding has subsided. A big relief for you as well, I would guess!

kelly - sounds like you and your family had a lovely time in Ottawa! My baby is gently kicking away in seemingly all directions...

sabi - welcome back! Hope you and DH really enjoyed your holiday and the wedding! When is your next appt? I am sure you are ready to see your little beans again!

chriss and carolyn - how are you both feeling these days? Starting to get a nice little bump? Into maternity clothes yet? Today, I've got on a linen dress I probably bought 20 years ago  - a trapeze style...and I've held onto it, thinking that if, if I were ever pregnant in the summer, it just might come in handy...So happy to have the chance to wear it.

to poohgirl and jenB - hope all is well! Thinking of you both!

Big hello to anyone I might have missed!

We finally got down to business and got the nursery set up -- felt great to get that done. Still have decorating to do and things to buy, but a great deal of progress was made! My family had a big party in the states this past weekend, and it was really too bad we couldn't join them. We did see and talked to everyone via skype - but not the same. Next summer, we'll see them all for sure and I am so looking forward to that!

Looking forward to reading all the updates this week!
Take good care everyone,
xx summer

Wow, there have been a lot of post in the last 24 hours.

JDC - I would have freaked out as well, but that is good news that the embies are looking beautiful! Good luck on Thursday!

Clemo and Chris - Welcome!

Summer- How exciting that your nursery is coming together. Bummer that you didn't get to be all your family but it is for a good cause!

Carolyn - Our next scan is Monday, to look for the heartbeats. I'm with you on having trouble with the site. The pages are really slow to load and I can't even log out ... the button is missing, I have to simply quite out of the browser??? Hope you are doing well.

Steph - I can't wait to hear your beta tomorrow... good luck!

Sabi and Chriss - summer vacation is quickly coming to an end, hope you are both enjoying it.

Gigi - I'm sorry your psychologist has thrown you for such a loop. Ours simply asked us what our choice was and why. She never tried to persuade us either way. I hope you feel better about whatever choice you make soon, you don't need any stress right now.

Kelly - Glad you had fun on your vacation. You seem to be a pro at twin motherhood ... hope you don't mind sharing advice when we need it :D

Sorry if I missed anyone. I hope everyone is doing well and I will check back in later!

Thanks for the welcome Wishfull27, Summerbaby and Hopeful in SD :D .

Summer - I have quite a few of those clothes that would be great "when I'm pg". I'm glad you could finally wear yours. And you must be excited to have finished your nursery.

JDC - Good to hear your 4 litttle embies are doing well. Good luck for transfer.

Hopeful - Good luck with your scan on Monday. Congratulations.

Me - Am desperate to start our cycle but at the same time am really enjoying not doing anything - as we've been on this ttc rollercoaster since 2005. It's nice not to be injecting or going crazy from hormones! And I'm sure the 6 wks till we cycle will go very quick.

Hey Girls,

I had my first beta 223; the numbers are good but my progesterone level is low 10.5- I'm scared. I am on Utrogestan 100mg 2-1-2 and Estradiol 2mg 1-1-1 daily. If you have been in this situation please let me know what you did.

Steph - Congrats, that is a strong beta! As for the progesterone, I've never heard of the Utrogestan you are referring to, so I can't help you there. Can Kaiser prescribe the progesterone in oil for you? I know the shots suck, but they are suppose to get it in your bloodstream quickly ... maybe it can supplement the Utrogestan? Can you call the clinic in Prague for suggestions? You have a strong beta, so try to keep your chin up.

Hi Stef,
very strong beta! I didn't do PIO shots this time around, only took Utrogest, but a higher dosage. I took 2-2-2 vaginally, 1-1-1 orally and my level at my beta was 32.
This amount was actually what my RE recommended when we did our regular IVF cycles and my progesterone levels were usually quite good, even though with my own eggs, the beta level was <5...So to be honest, I actually didn't follow the advice of my DE clinic, with their lower dosage, and went with what my RE had recommended and worked. I did tell them (the DE clinic) what I was taking and they said that was fine.

Good luck to you!
xx Summer

Hi steph congradulations!!

I did Progestrone in oil that is all my clinic will do because they think it works better. I do know that with Donor eggs you really don't make progestrone since you did not make any follicicals (spelled wrong sorry) so it tends to be lower my clinic compensates by doubling the amount of PIO you have to take. Talk with your clinic--the shots aren't horrible but they do get in your blood stream faster.

clem--welcome to our boards I found everyone to be so helpful!

I forget but I think someone has a transfer coming up--Good luck to them!

Happy baby bumps to everyone else!

Hey Stef - Well done on a great beta. I'm sorry you're worried about your progesterone. Are you having a repeat blood test soon? If not, I think you should ask for one so that you know the meds are working.
Good luck.

Hi Poohgirl - have you had sucess with DE?

Hi ladies, I have a question for those of you who are pregnant with twins, or had twins. Did your OB refer you to specialist or are you staying with your regular OB? My clinic doctor suggested I go to a specialist, so I'm just wondering. Thanks!

JDC - Good luck with your transfer!!!

Hopeful,
I am seeing one of the best ob's in my area. I was lucky to get into her. She did not refer me to a specialist nor did the IVF clinic who wanted to keep me as a patient- there is a large group of them who deliver babies as well. Nothing wrong with going to a specialist- are they considering you high risk? They told me I'm am not high risk. Search for the doctor that is going to give you & the babies the best care. Also wanted the ob to be affiliated with a reputable hospital. I researched litigation too.

Hi ladies how are you? Been busy getting ready for the first day of school on friday, boy- summer is over! So exhausted. Hope all is well. Hope I can catch up someday- I do read but limited time to post. Thinking of all of you.

Very challenging to get in on this site...wow.

Hi Ladies:

Sabi: want to hear more info from you regarding disclosure from your pshychologist. Could you pm me?

Stef: The shots are not pleasant but research does show they are very effective.. Hope you find out more regarding your progesterone.

Clemo: Welcome to the Board! Not too much longer for you to begin.

JDC: Our clinic never does the 5 day transfers but I always hear good success stories associated with that procedure. Keep us posted.

My donor is starting her stims this coming Saturday. We are excited but a little distracted with my ds upcoming mri to find out if he has a hole in his spine...sometimes associated with club feet. Poor little guy has a big surgery in January with casts for 6 weeks. Definitely being distracted but excited at the same time.

Hopefully I will join the rest of you soon with BFP. Good luck ladies.
