Positive hpt - Ghost, or anyone, could this be wrong??

Post by Angela37firsttimeivf »

I'm 14 days past transfer, 16 past ER, and today is my test date. I did a hpt this morning and it was a strong positive. I find out my beta result tonight. Is there any way it could be wrong? Aaaargghhh!!!

Hi Neffi, cheers for the encouragement. I really hope this is it, after so many horrible phone calls with bad news and six previous attempts, it's just kinda hard to believe it. I'm sure it can't be the hcg shot because it's been 18 days since that! Will know in an hour and am shit scared...

The only way that's not a pregnancy is if you were taking hCG for luteal support. A few clinics do that (it stimulates the corpus luteum to make progesterone). No other meds or natural hormones other than hCG will cause a positive reading.

Otherwise, you're pregnant. Congratulations.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Oh my God, thanks Ghost. I did have to do hcg shots for support on previous attempts, but not on this one. I can't believe it!
