Marymeganb-What a scare, but twins-how exciting. Congratulations:) I am currently taking my stim meds and am going in for a second ultrasound on Friday to see if my eggs are nice and ripe. Hoping to have the retrieval next week. Anyone else on the same time line? I am hoping to join the group of BFP's.

Well I went to the bathroom a little while ago and had some red spotting. I had a very little brown spotting yesturday. Now I am freaking out. I called my RE and they said don't worry, I may still get a BFP on Monday. It can be due to the pregesterone inserts, a scab from the procedure or other things. She said she has had patients with heavy bleeding still get a BFP.
I know some of you gals have had spotting too and got a BFP. Can I get some good vibes here and possitive stories, because I'm so worried now it will be neg.

lisa10 - I would not worry. My RE said that was the reason he didn't like to perscribe them because you can bleed but you are still pregnant and it makes the mommies worry - dont worry! Have you taken a HPT?

gi - just rest up and relax and let the baby snuggle in

marisen - I am so sorry. Is this your first IVF? I know that must be so heartbreaking to have gone through all this but keep your Faith, it will happen and you will have a baby!

fkm7783 - Twins... wow, what a miracle. You are so lucky. I was wondering if people put their twins in the same crib when they are infants for company... my neice was adopted from China (she is amazing) and they put a few babies in a crib together... just curious?

ladybug - try to relax - I know it is so difficult but the time does pass... just soooo s-l-o-w-l-y. Do you get to find out if the recipent gets pregnant? What are their rules?

AFM - I did a ton of research and this is what I came up with for taking a pregnancy test early. You need to wait at least 9 days after ET (and 1 day past your missed period). The reason they tell you not to test is that the HCG shot we did 2 days before ER can stay in your system for up to 2 weeks (so it may be good to get a negative result say 5 days after ET and then if you get a positive you know it is not from the shot because it is out of your system and not showing up). Your chances of a false negative are much more likely and that is why they dont want you testing. So unless you have taken additional HCG shots, then 9 days after ET should detect an accurate result.

I also have had a terrible headache (which they say is a surge of hormones) and smells are very accute... every where I go (restraunts) I smell everythig very amplified.

Well I only have 3 days till the blood test so I am still cautious but soooo excited.

I have never had the pleasure of reading a positive pregnancy result, I was elated!

Well my Dr decided to do a 3 day transfer instead of a 5 day transfer. I ask three different people in the office "WhY" and got three different answers.

I had 13 eggs to fertilize and 4 were grade 4 embroys. 10 were 3 and 3+

So today they transferred 3 grade 4 embroys. I had acupuncture before and after the transfer and now I'm on bed rest for 3 to 4 days.

Of the BFP's we have so far, how many were 3 day transfers? Also, how many embroys were transferred.

Michele can you add me to the 2ww group.

Just wanted to say a quick hello to all of you and CONGRATS to the recent BFP!!! I'm back to work now, so I am not on here all hours of the day as I was all summer, but I just got caught up on the last three pages.

lw - I am SO happy for you. Twins, OMG!!!

marisen - I am so sorry hon. I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better. (((hugs)))

marymegan - How scared you must have been, but I am SO glad everything turned out so wonderfully! I know what you mean about not getting excited yet until we're further along.

AFM - Endometrin inserts are NASTY lol, but I am so thankful to have them since I can no longer take the PIO shots. My next ultrasound is one week from today, and I wish it were here already so I can SEE that everything is still ok. For those of you who have betas coming up soon, I cannot wait to hear the news and am thinking of you all!

Hey ladies,
I just took my PIO and im in the worst pain ever. Not the actual shot but the actual med going in and after. DH never gets blood return but I can barely walk. Idk how much longer I can go on with these shots. Sometimes it feels sooooo weird going in. And just now it bled so much when he took out the needle, not when he pulled back. My RE insists on the shots. Are the chances of getting pregnant the same with the suppositories as with the PIO? Im scared and dont know what to do. The embies are in me now so I want to do whatever it takes to keep them safe but these shots are BRUTAL. HELP

ladybug - Everything I have read and seen shows the inserts are just as effective. The reason they are preferred is because they are more convenient. Instead of the one shot a day I was getting, I have to do the inserts THREE times a day, and they are SO very messy. After a few hours, you get this massive discharge of the medicine, and it's gross. But I have to say, I a enjoying not being in pain anymore. My hips were hurting SO badly, and I was so inflamed back there too.

marisen, please know that our hearts are with you. i am so sorry for your sadness. i will send you lots of good vibes for your future.

miyaya, so sorry for your scare, wishing you and your family the best.

ladybug, good for you for standing your ground! i've done suppositories and it's been fine.

sportsmom and cressica, sounds good about the positive tests!

iamhopeful, good luck on the ET. I totally had amnesia after the ER and had a whole conversation with DH that I do not remember at all.

mlorfei, congrats on the BFP!

babiesgalore, how exciting to see the heartbeat!

marymegan, scary but I'm glad you got not only good news but exciting news about twins!

lw, congrats on the twins too!!! i know what you mean about waiting for the next ultrasound but if the dr. doesn't seem worried, it is probably normal.

AFM, I had my 6 week ultrasound today and I was very nervous. fortunately, everything seemed fine and i too saw a heartbeat! i wasn't sure if we would see it this early so I was very moved to see it. What a relief! (until the next ultrasound  )

hugs and best wishes to all!
